I screwed up and orderd the 17.5" 4 in 5 out. Oh well it's not straight through like the areo turbine si hopefully it reduced drone. Snagged a pick. I cut the 5" slip fit end off the aero to use as a joint to make fte longer. Along with a 5" 51" muffler that someday I'll find time to put on our kenworth. I'm expecting no huge reduction from the little fte will most likely later ad a muffler behind it. Something smaller than the 51" Donaldson type muffler. Reworking down pipe hanger to get exhaust off the frame so later I can fit a muffler.

Hi guys, I’ve been troubleshooting my P1690 code using Mopar1973man’s forum and found myself stuck on step 7. The procedure says to check resistance between FPCM pin 8 and ground. My problem is that i’m not seeing any continuity here. I do however have good resistance from FPCM pin 8 to ECM pin 18 (which was an earlier step in the procedure). Looking through the wiring diagrams I don’t see how FPCM pin 8 gets ground. Should I really be getting ground from pin 8? Any input for where this ground gets picked up is appreciated.

  3. Just about to do the fuel transfer pump relay mod and also relocate to closer to the tank and 1/2" lines and straw, question is PO fitted this Fass pump https://www.dieselautopower.com/fass-direct-replacement-fuel-pump-drp02 is this good enough ? truck is 98.5 24v auto, trans is stock as far as I know, it has been rebuilt by PO late 2017 although looking at the rest of this guys work that may not mean much. He had used a canister pre filter and nothing else, luckily It hadn't done diddly miles and I got it, the guy wanted £60 for the original filter housing he had thrown under his bench yeah right, I fitted a Cat filter housing but this ****ant prefilter is still in th…

So I'm woundering. I have a 98.5 dodge 2500. I bought an 01 motor and didnt know the wiring was that much difference. But it is. I can find much on this topic beside people saying buy the right motor for the truck. I'm going through wiring schematics and woundering can I just make an adapter for the 01 motor to plug in to the spot the 98 did.

Damn. Recently pressurewashed and thoroughly degreased my engine. Yea, I know once the engine is squeaky clean this the best way to spot leaks. So, I have an oil leak where the vac pump / ps pump flange mounts to the rear of the timing case. Dammit! Hard to get to. Has anyone taken this assembly off to change the gasket & resolve an oil leak? My first gen has a leak in the SAME EXACT area. I tried to remove the assy on that truck and ended up frustated. I'm not fixing this issue on the old first gen, but my 02 is one sweet truck so I'm inclined to fix and keep it clean. Any tips or step by steps? Picture attached. (picture taken while i was …

Hey guys, being from Canada BC, the floods have been pretty bad and i had to drive through some pretty deep stuff for about a whole minute. i made sure to go slow. it wasnt up to the bottom of my doors but it was pretty high regardless. i pulled my air filter off to see if there was any water, and it was pretty damp and some water droplets, but nothing crazy. is this something to worry about. it was about up to 3/4 of my tires. im all stock aswell thanks guys

I have a 2001 dodge cummins. When I turn the key to the on position I have no wait to start light and hear a click in my fuse box. I have went through and checked wires and fuses and have had no luck

  9. I’ve been having hell with my ‘99, it’s a 2500 4x4 with an automatic trans. 130,000 miles all stock except for a few cosmetic things. One day out of the blue the trans went into limp mode, I hooked up my scan tool and I didn’t have any communication with the transmission. I started checking wiring harnesses and senors on the transmission. Found the output shaft speed sensor was bad so I replaced it and now the truck shifts 1-3 but has no O/D. It’s not my daily driver so I let it sit for a few days and came back to it when I had some time and I noticed it wasn’t charging the batteries and the A/C wasn’t working either. I wanted to verify that the it wasn’t each system fail…

  11. Hey everybody, I just about have all my steering troubles fixed (thanks @Mopar1973Man for the steering box tightening tips!). However, my steering wheel is still slightly off-center/crooked. I found a video showing how to remove the steering wheel, so is it simple enough to remove the steering wheel and adjust it a few degrees to the right? Or is it more complicated?

  12. Hey guys, wondering if I’m on the right track here. While towing up hill and heavy on the pedal, my throttle started to flutter in and out. It only seemed to happen under higher engine load and it was really hot outside. I cycled through a few different power settings on my qudzilla adrenaline and made no difference until I turned the tuner off and it seemed to go away. I read on another post I could be a timing issue? But here is a list of possible conflicting factors: -just replaced my injectors and turbo. I was wresting with a hard start issue for a while. Fixed it by replacing the fuel sending unit and tightening the banjo bolt on the back of…

Good evening guys! I was wondering if any of you run a a Industial Injection Viper 63/70 turbo w/ 12cm housing? I am thinking of upgrading one of my 01 3500's with it and was looking on opinions and usage reviews. I would only be using it for towing. Thanks!!

Hey folks, been lingering around this forum for years. Best site for reliable info. My truck: 2000 24V with 262K, Edge Comp Box(VP44 is Tapped), Airdog 150 Lift Pump, 4" Exhaust, S&B CAI, ATS 48RE(Don't Ask lol) Upgrade parts in question: HE351CW and DAP VCO 7x0.009 Injectors. All on 265X75r16 tires. Recently l purchased a used HE351CW off the marketplace for $50. It was in bad shape, I opted for a Spoologic billet cartridge instead of rebuilding. Along with the turbo, I purchased DAP VCO 7x.009 injectors to spin it. Project went smooth besides the dozens of boost leaks giving me hell. Countless hours later, with all the boost leaks resolved…

  16. Hey folks, I hope all is well and everyone is making it through these unprecedented times. I posted a little while back about an unusually high load on my engine. I knew I was due for some new injectors as I’m currently at around 145k miles. I finally got to install the new RV275’s over the weekend. While I had the valve cover off I adjusted the valve lash as well. What a difference that made. The truck runs so much smoother now. A nice little boost in power feels good too. It’s seems to be less noisy. About all I can hear is the VP44 clattering away now. Link to post Anyway, on to my issue. As I stated above, I am having issues with a high…

I just replaced the pinion and differential bearing in the rearend bir when I put the pinion back in it seemed really tight I can spin it by hand but I figured something with bearings on both sides would spin alot easier any I put or torque specs for the pinion nut?? I didnt torque it I didnt have a torque wrench at the time and was in a bind to get it going for work any help would be great.

  18. Back when I last blew the head gasket. I sent the head in to be cleaned, checked, and surfaced again. When I got the back and installed my +150 HP injectors quite literally fell in the holes. The body o-ring was a bit small sides from the dirt or after cleaning up the head. I just finished up installing the injectors and hope for the best. Nevertheless, the o-rings create a prime loss problem every morning hard start, and white smoke even with block heater and grid heater. Nose down starts easy. I ordered a new set of o-rings then proceeded to lose the o-ring in Thor for 2 months. Then I found them again and hid them in Beast. So last Thursday I took the time to change t…

  19. Just got the truck about a week ago. I will refrain from the steering issues I've had I washed the engine 2 days ago since there was diesel all over (line blew off on way home from purchase) and I like a clean engine compartment. I opted to use a hose with wand power nozzle over a power washer which I use on all my other trucks because I noticed hack electrical work and wanted to avoid any shorting out of components. Well, now I have a cranks but no start condition It started one time for about 15 seconds then died. Did the key on key off deal which revealed the following codes Pcu P1693 Ecu P0236 P0216 P0121 P0236 …
