Hey fellas, I know it's been a while since I have posted! Been extremely busy lately at work! But any ways my brother has been driving the "beast" alot more lately than I have, since I bought the 06. Well he tells me it has been kinda of spuddering a couple of times but it clears up, well today he was driving it hauling a trailer and 30 hp new holland tractor. He says he was cruising about 45 mph and all of the sudden it spudders, and starts knocking a little and immidately shut it down! He also said that it's bellowing coal black smoke! Talked to MoparMan, and we both feel I have an injector problem. Going to tow it in tonight and start tearing down to see!

I am posting this for my friend (neighbor to my mother). He has a 24V Ram, '01 I think. Anyhow, he has been fighting the lock-unlock problem for a while. I had him pull the alternator fuse and try it. Same thing, no change. I also put a multi-meter on the alt to test for AC voltage and it was .013 volts at the highest. I suggested checking the trailer plug and possibly the brake light switch. He did say that if he cleaned the battery terminals and reset the APPS it might be good for two months or two days. What else should he check?

I flushed my coolant and let it run till clear, then let it drain. When i add coolant it so far only took 4.5 gal. I drove it around and checked when I got home and only added a quart. Did I do something wrong or do I have an air pocket...thanks

Hi, new to this forum. I have a 2001 Dodge 2500 cummins HO 6 spd with Air Dog, Edge Juice with Attitude, 100 hp injectors and other intake and exhaust mods, about 367,000 miles. I've had the Edge, Air Dog etc for over 5 years, can't remember when I put it all in, with no problems. Recently I started getting "speed alert" alarms on the Edge display. I gave crazy numbers like 134 mph when I was only going say 40. Sometimes sitting still. After this happened a few times, it would stop sending fuel until the error was gone. sometimes it would go on and off several times, so you're driving along, and fuel is cutting on and off. Any help appreciated. 1999 24v air dog lift, timbo apps, edge comp box. Start the engine and it runs up to full throttle without pushing the pedal. Is this an ECM issue? No codes thrown, thottle cable intact. I'm at a loss here.

Truck is an '00 2wd auto with 229k, I just drove it this afternoon to go pick up a replacement water pump because I noticed water leaking out the pee hole this morning. Got home, shut it off, and let it cool for a while, then pulled the old WP off and used the water hose to flush the radiator and the block. Got everything buttoned back up, put the belt on, filled it up and hit the key, and it turned part of a revolution then stopped. Hit the key again, and the same thing happened, but this time the check gages light/tone came on, because one of my batteries is weak and it doesn't like cold cranking. Well I got my ISSPRO 3 gauge pack in and I got it installed. I ran into some problems but gave Michael a call and he helped me sort some things out that I wasn't paying attention to. I ran out of time at my shop and daylight but went on a test drive at the airport and Airdog 150 is holding rock solid 18psi at idle and 15.5psi WOT in 4th gear pull. I am also pulling 21psi peak boost on my stock truck and I think that is pretty good. All in all I am really happy with the Airdog and the ISSPRO gauges. I will try to finish up the EGT and lights and maybe a video if any one is interested tomorrow. Thanks again Mike!

Well, looks like my Amsoil can't hack it! I'm pretty dissapointed with this as I'd only read and heard good things about this filter before installing it, with the only failures or negative comments coming from a guy who was running twins. Either way, my truck has no tuning and exhaust only so it's hard to think that a truck in pretty much stock form could do this to a 'premium' air filter! Anyone know a place I can pick up a BHAF on the cheap?!

just bought my truck about 2 weeks ago and today when i started it ,i got out on the road and it would not run over 1200 rpm i had to pull over and turn the truck off and then start it back up then it went on no problem the rest of the day. The codes i pulled on truck was PO122 and P1693 on the PCU and P0216 and P1693 on the ECU. Could somebody help on what is the problem. Thanks

2001 6 speed. So here's the story. Lately when the truck sits over night it cranks 10 seconds if not more to start. Rest of the day is no issue. I've got 20psi to the vp44. I've parked nose down. I've checked every bolt and fuel line. I've checked and load tested the batteries. Batteries are a touch on the weak side but not bad. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. Fuel tubes and injectors were pulled and re o ringed ect. A year ago. Any ideas? I'm honestly down to replacing the vp44 check valve and the fuel heater on the canister o rings. 99 3/4 ton diesel 4x4,241hdwhen in 4wd i have loud clunking under front of truck.iv'e checked in the diff and both axle u-joints and front bearings.all look good, could it be the front drive shaft u-joints making this noise?any body had trouble with this?thanks in advance

I tried to put the truck in 4WD Lo with transmission in neutral. i was able to get out of the snowpile no problem but, when I tried putting it back in 2HI with transmission in neutral I got a grinding noise. I paniced as the transmission wouldn't catch a gear.Finally it caught a gear but, when I read up on the owners manual it says truck needs to be rolling 2-3 mph to engage the 4wd, is that with transmission in gear or neutral coasting?I need to learn how to engage this thing properly.

Hey all, I have been a member of the forum for years but have slowly moved away from it over the years. I am back now and starting to toy with my truck again. Wanted to make a quick post for guys who have either swapped/ purchased there truck with a Auto to Manual swap. I did mine 2 years ago and have been running flawlessly since then. Now to the point of this post. I never swapped my ECM+PCM during the swap because i never had any issues. So why swap the computers if you don't have to right? For starters Ive done a lot of reading and testing different parts. Im at a stand still and I dont want to be a parts changer..I bought a 02 3500 4x4 6 speed cummins 4.10 gears with 270k miles a week ago. All stock except for k&n intake and straight piped. I am experiencing a few problems. I noticed that the heat was barly warm. With a hint of antifreeze smell with blower on and selected on warm. So first problem is heater core. Ive driven the truck around town 55-60 mph. Coolant temp stays around 190 degrees. Once I hit the interstate at 70-75 with the 4.10 gears im turning about 2300-2400 rpm.
