After I had a stent installed in my heart Nov 8th, 2023, I lost some muscle strength in my legs, which resulted in my left knee (7 surgeries) not liking the heavy aftermarket clutch in my 01 Sport HO 6 speed. I traded it for a different diesel 4x4, but I just traded it for this 01 Ram 2500 Laramie SLT long bed 4x4 with 4-wheel disk brakes and 4-wheel ABS. It has an actual 195k miles on it from the vehicle record I paid for, which shows the same number of miles on the odometer. It definitely hits a lot harder than the other 3 Cummins 4x4 trucks I've had before. It It has the following upgrades. 1. FASS 165 lift pump 2.…

Replaced my head lights and now the bright indicator light stays on. Using the dimmer switch, I can see that the lights toggle from dim to bright. Had the batteries disconnected as well. Any ideas?

Well stuff is starting to look up since I got back from vacation. Had a tree limb fall on hood of truck while we were gone and it did $904 worth of damage to truck. Started looking around for a new hood and found a hood, grill, and bed for $200. those three parts will fix most of the body damage to my truck. Also got my new fuel tank/toolbox combo ordered, new tires will be put on truck on Wednesday and depending on money will order a set of RV275's to put in. Hopefully the good luck will continue for a while. Anyone had there whole truck painted? If so what did it cost?

I was having problems with my blend door awhile back and it turned out to be the actuator was bad. But i put a controller from junk yard because i was having problems figuring out the problem, but now the ac kicks on when u turn it to face and floor and when u turn it to defrost and floor? I thought the controller was missed up and put my old one back on and it does the same! Is this correct or do i have a problem, i have to either turn it to face or floor for ac not to kick on.

Has anyone here swapped out stub/outer axles on a 98 and put in 2000/2002 axles and bearings? I have looked at and measured both axles and bearings, 02 axle just a bit shorter, inner bearing the same, 02 has the studs in the bearing flange. Both use the same u joint and mount to the knuckle on the 4 bolt holes. My goal is to have the free float rotor with the newer set up. Please include any pics and if you had to modify anything to make it work. Thanks Dave.

Got totaled years prior Ripped out the batteries with the quadzilla still hooked up and it arched for like 6" or more till I got it high enough it stopped.. so without calling quadzilla do you guys know what's up there? Is it the ecm & wiring harness or one or the other? Where can I find new/remaned TIPMS???? I've been looking for awhile. I'm considering like local auto parts stores but I didn't find any new ones online... So I'm thinking like DORMAN / all those kinds of remanufactures maybe hopefully!!!! But if you have a direct link please post it !!!!! So I've found a few junk yards that say call for a quote on remande…

What are you guys doing w/ your 24V for enjoyment. I'm really pleased w/ my Dodge Cummins & really glad that I found a 3500 diesel. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. The guy that I bought the Sunline Camper from was using a V10 Fjord gasser & it's his daily driver too. I think that's insane. Only 8 mpg's w the camper.

I got my auto meter pyrometer installed today in my big Massey... the one with the 903 Cummins.Just like the instructions said, it buzzes when the gauge sweeps up and down (auto calibration). But, today was around 30 degrees outside, and the gauge said it was 300-400, with a stone cold engine.I didn't want to fire up the engine (takes too much fuel just to hear it run, and it wasn't plugged in either).Do these things need some time to 'learn' the curve? or do I have a dud?

I'm give a bit of a spoiler to the members here. I just called Eric over at Vulcan Performance and talked to him. First off I told him Thank You for creating the bracket for me and it worked out awesome. Then I told him some of selling angles like remote mounting of the senders gives easy access for testing and sensor replacement. The Eric told me about how they are getting the design cleaned up a bit more for production. I told him what I use for materials and fittings as well as lengths of tubing. He added there might be a test schrader valve added as well. He also told me that he really hates to have anything more mounted on the engine and rather have everything r…

Anyone else have the problem of getting the tailgate handle to release both latches at the same time? I have to manually flip the catch on the passenger side and then lift the handle to open the tailgate. No wear on the pivot points, plastic rod retainers not worn.

I know, old topic. It's just that no one seems to be in the same situation I am. I just finished replacing front rotors, calipers, and pads (Powerstop Z36 kit) and discovered the passenger side hub was shot, spun like a fidget spinner. Also replaced the driver side axle shaft assembly since the threads got screwed up taking the nut off. Anyway, I also threw a new ABS sensor on the driver side hub from a brand new bearing my friend messed up and gave to me, since I had access to it. I get everything back together, bleed the brakes, and as soon as I cross the 20-25 mph mark, the ABS/Brake Christmas tree lights up. Does not come on with brake pedal action, comes on when I hi…

So im driving down the road with no heat and windows up. Its cool out but nice, all the sudden Im feeling air, I check the ac vents and air is blowing through them. I rotate the knobs to try and stop it and its constant air flow. What happen? I bought a new vacuum line 3 weeks ago, the line from the pump to the passenger side of dash. Its all of the sudden outside air blowing through the dash vents. This is really going to mess up the ac on a hot day.

This is my new project. I've got the tig, the cutting tools, sander, etc... I found the basic steel design photos but was wondering if anybody had any input. I was also thinking if I made one I might as well make two. Whats a fair price for a good aluminum bumper?

I was curious if the passenger seat belt on anyone's single cab truck can lock. Where you pull the belt out all the way and it ratchets back. So you can put a car seat in. I am am not sure if the seat belt isn't working right in my truck. Thanks

I changed my alternator this morning. Went from a Bosch to a Napa Denso. The install went well, but when I started the truck, the scan gauge II did not pick up the water temp for the intake temp for about 5 minutes. I shut the truck off, restarted, and started registering water temp and intake temp after a few seconds. The alternator is putting out 14+ VDC. Rated at 136 Amps. There were no codes thrown, and yesterday was working fine after my radiator flush/water pump repl/and t-stat replacement. Anyone have any ideas of anything I should check should this recur? Thanks.

I made a trip today that's about an hour on the main highway and when I stopped I noticed my truck idling at about 900 (usually 800). Did a few errands and headed home and I got in the driveway, was idling at about i'll say 950, I shut the key off and the truck stayed running. I thought it was odd. so I went into the setting on my Edge to check to make sure the turbo cool down wasn't on. which it wasn't. Let the truck sit there for about a minute and then it shut itself down. No idea why it worked that way but more importantly, how can a person shut it down if it happens again and doesn't finally quit on it's own?
