  3. So Right now I have tow 2nd gens. Both 4x4 5 speeds. my 99 has always had an issue with power steering at idle mostly. I replaced the pump with a Borgeson, all new power steering lines with a filter, red head gear box, synthetic fluid and rebuilt the vacuum pump while everything was out. I still have barely any power steering at idle. I even modified the Saginaw pump by drilling a larger hole. my other truck with an all original power steering pump, lines etc has had 37s (back to stock now) and it could turn those tires without an issue even at idle. I am beginning to think the truck with the issues has a hydro boost blockage of some sort.…

My truck has fender flares to cover the wider and different offset rims/tyres, end of last year I repaired the bed sides both sides, here in the UK it would be rear wheel arches, rear fenders maybe for you guys, not quite finished as weather stopped play, I've just sprayed in paint I had lying around to cover for the winter. Got to thinking If the rears were rotten then the front fenders under the flares might be the same, sure enough right hand side lower area on the fender is past it's best, no problem for our MOT as the flare covers it, looked on Rock and £73 or maybe $50 to 60 ish for the right hand front fender. Not too bad Put in my email address a…

Looking up some parts today. Somehow across this fill in your VIN number and up comes your belt and hoses. Going to print out and keep in glove box, just in case. I'm not in love with Gates but thought it was handy. http://www.gates.com/catalogs-and-resources/resources/repository/engineering-business-applications/vin-decoder/vin-decoder

Wanting some opinions here on the rusty door problem our rams have. I'm about to drop $1000 on Omni plus paint to put a new paint job on my truck. I have a great body man who is helping me do it right. I'm doing all the grunt work. So my question is what would you do to repair knowing you are trying to put a quality paint job on.

hi, i have a borgenson gear box on my 2001 dodge truck and it's leaking from the pitman arm side; does any one knows were to buy a seal kit to repair it

  10. Started by dripley,

Well after 500k+ my power steering pump has started leaking. The steering and the brakes work fine, just loosing the fluid somewhere. Any body ever reseal their pump? The kits are cheap but they dont come with any bearings and I have to assume there some bearings in there some where. I can get new replacement for a 150 bucks, just cant decide which way to go.

Hey guys, So I'm sure everyone has seen those pickup trucks that have either the bed or cab sagging so badly that the truck is folding in half. I absolutely hate that look, even the slightest bit. Well I think my truck has started to do this, ever so slightly. I'm probably the only one who would notice it. But I wanna get a jump on trying to figure it out. Does anyone know what causes this? Is it worn out cab mount bushings? Can I get replacements? Has anyone else encountered this issue? thanks! EDIT: So just looking around I found Energy Suspension poly cab bushings at Geno's for $120. So now my questions are, how much work are they to replace?…

One of my rear speakers quit working. Before I condemn it I would like to make sure it is not something else. I put my meter across the 2 wires and got about .5V. Part of me thinks it should be 12V and part thinks speaker voltage is variable and increases with volume. Which part of me is right? Or am I all wrong?

It's time for new tires on my 2000 , i was wondering how many people have the h1's With military 37s on their dodge s, if so how much lift was needed, ive heard a leveling kit and they fit, but want to make sure before i spend the money.

I try and keep a close eye on my oil level, checking it often. All of my oil changes I haven't seen any drop really in oil level. However this time I am 4,000 some miles in and I am about half way on the safe zone on the dipstick. I did pull heavy a few times and I was on some steep land. I am planning on doing the vent tube mod that moparman came up with as I have the oil build up on the front of my motor. I Dont have any drips, no more than a slight haze for blow by and the truck runs great. Truck has 202,000 miles. Is this normal oil consumption? Will the vent mod help?

What is the weak part or what is it that commonly breaks on the 98 thru 2002 tip down style dash cup holders? Appreciate any thoughts on what you did to repair it also. Thanks in advance

I got my new Autometer "A" pillar triple gauge mount today with gauges and was wondering how you guys got the wiring and tubing through the dash? I am guessing drilled a hole somewhere to manipulate the wires and such through? I am going to try to install the Trans. Temp, Boost and Oil Pressure this weekend hopefully, if things go right. Thanks for help! Steve

  19. Hey guys, I need to rent a trailer so I can move from Washington to Texas here in the next week. I'll be driving my 99 2wd tow pig. I'll be towing my 2001 ram 2500 QCSB 4x4 and was looking for recommendations on rental trailers. I want to have all 4 wheels on the trailer if possible. I've called Rhyder, Sunbelt, and United Rentals and their trailers have to be returned to the same location, so I need something I can return out of state.. Are there any other 1 way trailer rentals that have a max capacity of 8000lbs or more so I can be on the safe side or is something like Uhaul's trailer good enough? Uhaul's max trailer weight is capacity is 5,290…
