Is there any reason I couldn't/shouldn't switch out my manual seats to power? Need to replace mine and all I've found is electric. Any chance the plug under the seat provides power? I know I'll have to put in a realy/fuse in fuse box, but is there anything else?

So my seat swap was a success, but not without a hiccup. The drivers seatbelt will unwind about half an inch and lock. That's as far as it will go! I tried shaking it, beat on the back of the seat, and stuck my pinky finger in trying to find a release. Any ideas on what to try next?

Since completing the heater core and evaporator install, I had the AC system recharged at a local shop. The tech told me the low side pressure is 30 psi. In 85° weather, I'm getting 55-60° air from the center vent w max-air and full fan. Quite frankly, I was warm. Before all this, my truck AC would freeze you out! I read the article at http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/27-hvac-heating-ventalation-and-air-conditioning/58-recharging-air-conditioning-with-r134a-freon and noticed the performance temperature specs were exactly what I'm now getting. Is it unreasonable to expect my system to be as cold as it used to be? If its not unreasona…

I have seen some discussion on this before, but does any one know if the wiring harnes is present in the door for powered mirrors? My truck came with the tow mirrors but not the powered ones. I need to order some new ones and would like to have at least powered ones as long as the harrness is there. At least that would make it easier to do, as long as i can find the switch mechanisim also.

So on my old 96, it was a base model with AC only. I bought a CC servo, clock spring, and switch assembly from a JY, threw it in, and presto-whammo! CRUISE CONTROL! :)My 97 had cruise apparently (SLT), but the servo was missing..So I bought a servo, installed it, and wham.. wait.. nope, CC doesn't work..I've studied the wiring diagram, but as usual, nothing at the PCM matches..THere's a yellow/red wire at the brake switch and cc controller. neither gets power. judging by the wiring diagrams, there are wires not where they 'say' they should be at the PCM, but it's really hard for me to decipher, for some reason..Any suggestions or anything you guys may have encoun…

Where to buy stock mirrors, I ask this because evidently there are cheap replicas. My new to me truck has some really junk mirrors. They vibrate to beat hell and just seem thin compared to my other 1 ton. Thanks

I need to find my AC leak. it only works for about a week. I replaced the evap several years ago and hope that I don't have to do that again. I have a sniffer but can't find a leak and it has dye in the system and I used the special UV light and glasses and not seeing it. starting to think compressor shaft or evap again. I saw an isolating kit https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FConditioning-Automotive-Detector-Detection-Compressor%2Fdp%2FB07TYCT8M7&psig=AOvVaw3rwrF9QbMclVBmsU7ayrgG&ust=1685844090532000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CA8QjhxqFwoTCJik39aApv8CFQAAAAAdAAAAABAF M…

Hello, kind of real problem. I have had my "flasher relay" fail about three times over the 331,000 mile life of my 99 dodge DSL. The lasty time the flashers and turs stopped working it was not the "Flasher Relay (located on the left of the dash behind the removable cover). I have checked every fuse in the cab and under the hood as well as the Trailer relay...npo luck. I changed out the Turn signal multi function switch about three months ago with the OEM part (trying to fix a wiper problem that I never did get fixed). Don't really know where to look at this point, Steve Campbell 208-315-4726

Hi all. So I just completed a 4 switch and resistor build for high idle and combined winter mpg fooler but I had a question as to the resistance on that.I'm using a 2.2k ohm resistor to get a reading of 143*F through the IAT. Obviously I want the highest reading I can get and still save the advanced timing from my edge comp. What got me thinking is even in the summer I never saw a reading quite that high, I saw 130's plenty of times but never more than that. Is 143 too high and the vp is going to retard timing to prevent problems that it thinks are coming therefore taking away the gains I am trying to get here. I'm having a really hard time being able to tell if I'm actua…

Sorry I haven't been here in a while but since I have no real expertise and haven't been having any problems... Anyway, Now I have a problem. By the way, I keep trying to make a donation but it keeps failing. So, my issue is that my power door locks will not lock. Not with the fob, not with the button, not when it's put into gear, nothing. However, it unlocks as advertised, i.e., with fob, when put into park, and with the passenger unlock button, not the driver's. So, I replaced both driver's and passenger's switches (located on each respective door arm rest). Has anyone had any experience with this issue? Thanks for any help you can give.

I love old mopars. Mopar, (God bless'em) still makes legit 2nd gen (muscle car era) Elephant motors! They don't build the engines themselves, they contract it all out to various manufacturers and large shops typically around the Detroit area. Well, during my research I found out that there has been quite a few changes in who makes these new crate motors. Originally, it was a small high end machine shop that would take the raw castings and turn them into beautiful engines. Then, Mopar decided to go with the lowest bidder. Cummins. The engines that came from Cummins were 100% garbage. Crap in the engines. Awful surface finish on parts. Poor hone job. Castin…

Ladys and gentelmen boys and girls experts of all sizes I have a 1997 Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel with power windows and fan that cut out a couple of days ago. Everything else electrical seems to work (although the airbag light comes off and on now) Anyway is there anyone that has the schematic for the wiring to this model. or has a good idea as to the solution. Is there a breaker or something that I am missing. All fuses and relays under the hood and on the driver side fuse panel are good. Blower relay is fine (under steering column) Any help would be appreciated. Its getting hot in here with the windows up
