My dually started having a weird vibration I think its from the front at 40mph or so mostly at a cruise or decell situation and not so noticeable if at all when I'm accelerating. Any ideas? Thanks.

Have an interesting issue that has become present over the last couple of weeks. So this only happens with low beam. They either will not come on or flicker once and go off. As soon as you trigger the high beam. All is fine. Just for giggles I swapped in a set of halogen bulbs, still does it. Then a set of pnp hids with a dual relay harness. Same deal. I am thinking a power feed issue with either the head lamp switch orrrr multifunction switch. My moneys on the multifunction switch.

I tore into the rear driver side of my truck, needed to replace the wheel seal...once I got everything off I was looking around at my drum brake assembly thinking I needed to take everything off, I screwed the adjuster all the way in and found out that I dont have to take it all off...once I got everything back together I drove around for 10 min at 50 mph and then checked to make sure everything was ok, my driver side drum (side I tore into) was alot hotter than the passenger side...If I jack my wheel off the ground I can get about the same amount of spin as the other side but only my drivers side is getting warm...I know the adjuster is probably not back in the same spot…

A few days ago I posted a thread seeking assistance on a wiring issue with my mech gauge. The dome/courtesy lights were intermittently illuminating, and the key in ignition alarm was sounding when engine off with door closed, and ignition off. While troubleshooting today, I needed to stick my head up under the dash to look for loose grounds, etc. Well, in order for the lights to be off, and to make it more comfortable, I closed the door so I could put my feet up on seat and put my head under the dash.Anyway, when I shut the door, the lights went out as they should (ignition on/engine off) and then immediately illuminated again. I thought that's weird, so I pulled on the d…

I think I have this correct but something didn't feel right in the left rear wheel. From the backing plate under the truck and through the adjustment opening I would turn the star wheel upwards correct? Because the adjuster lever on the inside of the drum would push it down to make an adjustment. Is this correct? I googled images but some of the ones I saw didn't say what year the truck was so I thought I would ask.

I've been using this site for awhile. It shows factory parts diagrams along with part numbers, including superseded numbers. You can enter your VIN also. http://Moparpartsgiant.com I've also found similar sites for ford and chevy that come in handy for side jobs.

Hey Gang... Once again I'm looking for some help with my truck. Lately my rear brakes have been binding up and dragging. I clean the rails the shoes ride on and the shoes themselves. Externally mostly lost of mud and dirt. Well I popped out a piston to check the bores for problems and found that sand and very small stones under the weather boots. (I can't figure out how they got there...) But found that the sand and debris has worked its way under the O-rings in the calipers. Now my problem is that everything is fine except the O-rings which has taken some damage. (Deformed, nicks, etc.) Now I went to the local NAPA store and they don't list any rebuild kit…

Hey guys I just got a iQuad Zila adrenaline with the V2 default tune I just have a couple questions the first one being my transmission slip percentage jumps from anywhere from 3% to 60% when I’m cruising at 40mph It stays at 20% when you turn the truck on it stays at 100%.This leads me to believe something is wrong in a sensor? I have a deep pan with a upgraded torque converter the guy before me said it was billed past that but as I have not dropped the transmission I don’t know if you’re sure but it shifts good TC lock up is solid. Second question would be My fuel psi it doesn’t jump around but it stays around the 65 to 70 which is obviously not true. Thank …

I don't regularly check my brakes out because to be honest, I don't put hardly any miles on my truck. I rotate my tires every 5000 miles yet I’ve only put 4000 miles on it in the last 2 years. I drive it basically only during the fall for hunting season and if it snows bad during the winter. 2 weeks ago a stop light changed and when I hit the brakes the antilock kicked in. I could tell something was wrong immediately. When I got home I found that the front rotor broke apart. It had rusted through at vents. After fixing that a few days later I could hear a squeak coming from the rear brakes. I took those apart yesterday. The caliper side has full pad wear. …

Hey everyone, looking for some help. We had our first 70* degree day here in the mountains, and since our bodies are acclimated to -20*, i flipped on the A/C to cool down. But my heart sank when there was no cold air coming out of the vents. I switched it to "max AC" and the "regular AC" on the dial, but it seemed to make no difference. Drove a couple hours and it never came on. I'm not familiar with troubleshooting AC, so where would you start? The truck had good, cold A/C last summer before the winter. Now that winter is over, the AC doesnt work. One quick side note, last year a mechanic installed and airdog and when I got the picku…

Gen light came on a few days ago so I pulled my alternator and it tested bad. I replaced it with a cheap reman and it still wasn't charging. Today I notice that the 30A engine control fuse was blown so I replaced that and started the truck. Bingo! Everything was charging as it should. I took the truck for a victory lap around the neighborhood and the fuse blew again. Popped another fuse it to see if it was a fluke and it popped too. Recently I have installed HID headlights, but don't believe those are the problem because everything worked fine for a week or so... on the same day as the headlights, I also installed a new bumper. There were a couple of gr…

I was not liking the way big blue was handling lately, so I checked out the steering system, and found the lash is getting pretty sloppy in the steering box. This steering box had a plug on it, so I drained the fluid being it was due. Put in fresh ATF, prime it, pump the brakes and turn the wheel back and fourth to get things circulating. Notice the pedal went to the floor pretty easy, and even felt a pull while braking today? Well, I guess it was ready to go, and pumping on the pedal did it in, oh well at least it happened in the drive way. So I guess I have a job to do tomorrow. Brake lines, and steering lash.

I swapped my ram over to disc brakes 3months ago I also replaced the Master Cylinder and Hydro booster and replaced all the lines, calipers, rotors and pads at the same time . After a week the hydrobooster blew out the accumulator seal and I lost all my power steering fluid in about 2mins. I warrantied it out and replaced it and I couldn't get a good pedal what so ever ,so I bought a oem master and hydrobooster. I installed them yesterday and I still can get a good pedal after bleeding it. If I pump the brakes a few times it has full power but after driving it a few feet afterwards it loses pressure. Should I replace that power steering pump, or is there something else I…

Played tag with a telephone pole. Light grazing. However front mount for rad support is bent along with some tweaked areas around it. Debating on getting it straightened or cut it off and build bumper mounts. What would be the best way repair it. Gonna try to attach pics.

Pulled my box off for an easier install for the Fass. Does this look like an in tank pump retrofit? Does anyone also know what this port should be connected to? Is it just a breather ?

Seems I am seeing a lot of folks with problems that are going to require removal of the dash to fix. Be it a bad heater core. ac evaporator or cracked dash. I am stating this to let anyone know that this is NOT a difficult job as some would make it out to be. it can be time consuming but there is nothing special you have to do to accomplish this.No special tools are required, just standard stuff. Mike has a good write that I used and the LMC dash i bought had some good instructions to. I took mine out and replaced the dash and rebuilt the hvac box. I spent 2 to 2.5 days to do mine working at my leisure to accomplish it. I would recommend that if you have to go into y…

Okay so yesterday the fuel gauge was showing a little under half which was correct. I parked the truck for maybe 2 hours and got back in it to drive and fuel now shows it is on Empty and the fuel light is on. Went and put some fuel in it and it didn't change... So I guess the fuel sender is probably out?? Can you buy that seperate from the canister or does it come together? A from a dealer I suppose?

This might be a dumb question, but when I turn the key on the "Wait To Start" light comes on. Just what is the system doing? What am I waiting on to happen?Since this is my first diesel every once in a while I jump in the truck, put the key in and start it like a gas motor. Am I hurting anything because I am old and forgetful?
