I swapped my ram over to disc brakes 3months ago I also replaced the Master Cylinder and Hydro booster and replaced all the lines, calipers, rotors and pads at the same time . After a week the hydrobooster blew out the accumulator seal and I lost all my power steering fluid in about 2mins. I warrantied it out and replaced it and I couldn't get a good pedal what so ever ,so I bought a oem master and hydrobooster. I installed them yesterday and I still can get a good pedal after bleeding it. If I pump the brakes a few times it has full power but after driving it a few feet afterwards it loses pressure. Should I replace that power steering pump, or is there something else I…

The truck belongs to my brother-in-law in Crescent City, Ca. The truck is a 2002 Quad Cab, 4x4, automatic transmission with approximately 170,000 miles on the truck. Every thing is stock. The problem: After about every 20 or 30 brake applications the brake pedal gets hard and there is no power assist. As soon as he releases the pedal, everything is back to normal. He took the truck to a shop. The guy who runs the shop is a very knowledgeable man and his business has an excellent reputation.. He asked if the power steering worked when the event occurred. My brother-in-law said that he didn't notice anything with the steering, but his focus was on stopp…

A buddy found this for me, a second gen dually bed with fenders, tail gate and rear bumper. Bed was Rino lined, under side has very little rust at all. Came with the tail lights also but they were broken. I did scavenge the led bulbs though. So, truth. Was $400 a decent deal for this? Next, how to proceed, should I get the under side blasted to remove any rust then undercoat? Any other/better ideas? I'm in north west ohio so we do get salt snow and ice here. Want to do what I can to make it last before I think about swapping them. Check out the pics. Thanks! Oh, the bed also has aluminum diamond plate rail protectors and a camo tail gate c…

I looked at it briefly but is it possible to remove just the center console? Or even move it enough to mount a stereo amp under it? I want to secure my amp to the floor under the console, would be easiest to remove it if possible. Thanks.

I have a 2000 3500 5 speed. New built engine. Currently getting about 9 volts to fuel relay. Truck started and ran upon engine install but oil change place arced alternator on oil filter. Injector pump was fried, so I replaced. Traced back to computer. Sent off twice and got same result. Installed computer on another truck, same result, have to jump pins for relay to start engine. Sent off to Auto computer specialist this time, same result. Fass comes on and works fine but injector pump won't create pressure while this relay is getting low voltage. Please help. I have used this site for testing wires and can only come up with computer failure but after repairing 3 times n…

Just had this ad thrown at me while looking on face88ck is that the right spelling...... I'm kindof dicklexit and BTW the boffins just couldn't have found a worst word to describe someone that can't recognise letters or words https://www.diectary.com/products/6165?fbclid=IwAR1mbk8JRKcWl4lLRSr3oCD1sqAVcT522HBfl_1RYjPejhoyiWfsZQBl8nk says MIUSA I doubt that But I think I could figure out how to do that with a 12v battery or maybe a ......... I've just had a Einstein moment, I have a Snap-On sensor tester that can input voltages from 0 to 8 or maybe 10v, I use it to substitute input voltage and output voltages either to sensors or ecm's, PCM's whatever. …

Gents: Have a battery draw down and my shop traced it to the Seat Belt Timing Module. DAP called 10 sources, my shop has called multiple and no luck. I've seen some videos how to bypass but not ready for that yet. At this point my plan is to go to a junk yard and harvest a used unit, but would certainly prefer a new or remanufactured one. Any thoughts or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2012 dodge 3500 steering system. I’m wondering if you guys know if it’ll fit right on or not before I take it off the truck. I’ve heard some of them are too long and sometimes you need to bore out some holes. Let me know what you guys figure. Looking to put it on my 2000 2500

I've been avoiding spending money on a dash, but it seems that my fiberglass job from 6-7 years ago is starting to fall apart. Been looking at Geno's and LMC also my bezel seen better days too so I'll be getting that at same time. I know @dripley used LMC and said he liked it, how do you like it now? Still happy and all? By the time I put dash and bezel in checkout with shipping from LMC to my door, estimate is $418 Seems pretty steep for some plastic and not even sure if LMC is plastic or abs or whatever it's made out of, looks like good reviews thought. I wanted to try some sort of leather or fake leather and glue it on top of the dash to keep it all together, b…

I installed a Pacbrake C44064 inline exhaust brake and it works great. Except for the brake, that is. Compressor works as it’s supposed to, supplying air to the quick-connect and Packbrake air tank. When I flip the switch on the shifter mounted brake switch the solenoid on the compressor does not supply air to the brake. The solenoid on the compressor that supplies air to the brake cylinder does cycle when I apply 12V to it direct from the battery via a jumper wire, so I checked for voltage to ground coming from Pin 20 on the ECM while the truck was running at idle. No voltage was present. Any ideas why this pin isn’t energized at idle? I’m in the mids…

Got a brand new Blue Top gear in a box and this was the weekend to put it in. Also havd a new track bar, pitman arm, and stud formthe drag link. A bit cold on Saturday do I didn't start until about 1. Got the track and every thing apart except for the fluid lines. 18mm and wouldn't youknow it Imdont posess one. So I just wrapped up for the day and figure to get said wrench in the morning. Head out Sunday morning not even thinking about it being easter Sunday and found most places closed the day. But did find HD open and bought their last 18mm wrench. Get back to the house and finish taking everything apart. Setthe old one out and grab the new one and set it under t…

Anyone know how to remove the dome light lens on a base model dome light? I wanted to take it off to clean it. It's a little dingy and thought I would get more light that way. Probably change the bulb to an LED eventually. Or for the sake of conversation, would an over head console bolt in if I would find a decent one at a salvage yard? Just curious.

Hello all! So, I'm having suspension issues with the truck and really need them figured out. truck shakes at highway cruising speeds. It will smooth out if I move the wheel slightly (with the slack) and it'll get smoother and not be shaking. It's not death wobble like you see on YouTube but it is definitely annoying and NOT correct lol. I think tires may just need to be balanced and a good alignment. Front driver tire is also a weird wear (mud tires, each tread is up and down alternating, planning to get new wheels soon). Only thing I know that has been done to the truck suspension wise is a leveling kit. To the next problem, when turning at slow speeds (parki…

Just switched out my power steering fluid. Nothing wrong with the steering but I had some Walmart crap in there and wanted to flush out most of it. I didn't do a complete flush but drained the reservoir several times and replaced it with O'Reilly PSF which is Dodge MS-5931 compatible. Got in the rig this morning and my power steering and brakes were gone. YIKES...did I just lose my PS pump??? I'm thinking not (wouldn't that be a coincidence) so checked the reservoir and found I had way overfilled it. Drained it down to the "Cold" level, started up and in 30 seconds I had my PS and brakes back. I don't know if this a real issue or I had air in the lines or what b…

Has anybody replaced the factory door speakers yet? I assume most have. My two front speakers go in and out of playing music and not. I don’t think it’s a short but rather the speakers are just plain wore out. Any suggestions on brands, or a link to what speakers you purchased. I am going to do both front and rear speakers while I’m at it.

I fitted a new PS pump last year around August If I remember correctly, always seemed a little underpowered at idle but I thought it was down to my tyres. Yesterday I delivered a mower I'd sold to a guy 40 odd miles away using a 12ft trailer, anyway missed the house so had to do a U turn at a T junction, it was a bit tight and to be fair I held the steering on full lock for too long and too hard, all of a sudden steering and brake pedal are both hard, I got straightened up checked for leaks , no leaks but steering hard at idle, delivered the mower and drove home with no steering or brakes at low revs. Took the pressure pipe off and the fitting to get to t…

I have recently replaced my front brake pads. Someone let them go a bit to long and the right front got all the way thru the pad. Well anyway got some new pads and replaced them last week. I did notice some odd things, The first not so odd is the brakes pulled to the left as the pad wore thru to metal on the right side. I swapped in all the new pads and some spare rotors I had onto the truck. The left pads had worn uneven as in a wedge shape. One end was maybe 3/32 s fatter than the other and the same on the opposing pad. I have never had a set pads wear like that. After I had everything installed I took for a test spin. The pedal took a few applications to get a good re…
