I add a can of Wix coolant supplement when I change coolant. But I've been told I should monitor the coolant ph level with test strips. Is this something that you guys do? Thing that makes me concerned is the bottom disc in my high dollar cummins thermostat fell off and was just sitting in the hole below the thermostat. Corrosion cause this failure? Was only in for a year or so.

My truck 01 cummins has been sitting 2 days with block heater plugged in. I'm out side today and I look over and witness a leak just start and drip a good sized puddle. So I investigate and it's coming out of the cap on the power steering. I took off the cap and it's over flowing. Any ideas?

Hey guys, Two things... I currently have a Raptor 100 on the truck with the full half inch hoses all the way from the tank to the VP. If it dies (not saying "when" because I'm trying to be positive), I eventually want to replace it with a FASS 95.. so I'm curious if I can just buy the pump and not the whole "kit". Does the FASS use the same quick connect fittings? In other words, will it just be a matter of unplugging/unbolting the Raptor and bolting/plugging in the FASS and running the new power lines? Also.. I found a guy not too far away that's selling an older Edge EZ for $200obo - specifically for the 2001 model year (says right on the sticker). I do …

I have a 1999 dodge ram 2500 with 5.9. I had purchased a quadzilla tuner and I want to use the fuel pressure monitoring with the programmer. Does anyone know a part number or where I can get a sending unit that will work with this? Also my low fuel pressure warning kit I installed stopped working. I grounded the wire that goes to the pressure switch and it lights so I know the switch is bad. I just need the switch but can only find new kits. thanks

Just bought a 2001 2500 24v auto with 103,000. Everything was fine until one day my lock up was going in and out rapidly in drive and overdrive. Looked up a similar symptoms on the internet and a lot of people suggest moving a passenger side ground wire out from the wire loom that runs above the alternator and under the bracket. I moved the wire and reset my apps with the pedal procedure. I've only put 200 miles on so far but everything is back to BETTER than normal. Just curious if there's any other common problems associated with the haywire of the locking and unlocking of the torque convertor.

So today was a sucessfull day My cousin bought a new to him ford Diesel and took off the new set of 5' stack kit with 6' miter cut's off. In place of his black single stack kit he had. Then i found out later He also had the diamond plate cover to hide the pipes he meant to give me which i will get tomorrow. Got the whole kit which cost $707 for the kit $279 for the cover for only $250 and got it hooked up and in looks good sound's amazing way better then the old 4' Sinlge out the back or my 4' dual stack kit. Then i bought a pair of "Handy" brand Airgates from a dodge junk yard Valued at $359 a piece for $225 for the pair one was a little bent on one bar and needed some f…

. Anyone have experience with them? I recently picked up a set of used Industrial Injection Dragon Flow Stage IV (150HP) injectors. The II Dragon Flows are a bit unique in the fact that they have a 10-hole EDM honed nozzle (6 large primary holes / 4 small ancillary holes). The 4 smaller holes are designed for better fuel atomization and control at lower RPM's (less smoke).

I was originally looking for some RV injectors when I came across DAPs website. Their prices are good. Was wondering what the difference was between the DAP brand and the aftermarket ones are other than 1 requires a core and the other does not. Should I keep my stock injectors? I am probably going to go with 75hp injectors Any info or recommendations would be great. Thanks

http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p-7531-budget-rv275-24-valve-cummins-fuel-injector.aspx if no one has seen this yet I wanted to let everyone know that dieselpowerproducts.com is offering a cheaper version of bosch's RV275 injectors. They say it offers all the same benefits as bosch's product. Right now they are running a sale and are only 49.99 a piece and free shipping on orders over 100.00. So if you have been looking to get these injectors but are on a budget check out this alternative product. I just ordered mine the other day, I will let you know how I like them.

I've got 20k on my oil change since the Frantz bypass filter install with paper change every 1,500. Wanting to have a sample tested. What's the procedure for obtaining a sample? I've seen recommendations in the past for testing facilities. But maybe for the discussion of taking a sample and sending it off for testing it would be best to combine them here.

I tow a 14k 5th wheel in the mountains and last weekend my stock clutch started to slip. The only "hp" related items on my truck is an aFe intake, 4" exhaust, and EZ so I should be around 300 hp at best. I called Southbend and Valair and their prices are considerable in difference which has me wondering what I'm overlooking. I know they're both very reputable clutches in these trucks so..... Valair's NMU70279-01-5SCE is rated for 400 HP. New 13" flywheel and organic clutch material. Aprrox $650. Southbend's 13125-OKHD is rated for 425 HP. New 13" flywheel and organic clutch material. Aprrox $850. I dont have plans for any HP add on's other than I "may" …

I'm looking at steering box braces... one more expense trying to tighten up the steering on my truck. It seems all of them replace the nut under the pitman arm with an extension which engages a bearing... a high quality ball bearing. Most units bridge frame rail to frame rail, claiming to stiffen the chasis by so doing. One product mounts entirely to the driver's side & claims that the frame naturally flexes & the bridge designs can put undesireable pressure on the steering box internal components... they also do extreem off-roading which I don't. There are differences in designs & also thickness of materials... Thoughts? First hand experiences…

So I was fortunate enough to be given a set of Bully Dog 100hp injectors by a fine fellow a few weeks ago. He did a turbo swap and the mechanic convinced him he needed to get new injectors. He replaced them and has since sold the truck, still retaining the old injectors and a factory set also, so he donated them to me. Knowing Bully dog has been out of the production biz of injectors for a while I promptly made a call to DAP. I spoke with Dallas to which he provided me some great information and service. I sent them to DAP (arrived on Friday) to be tested and verified. They are a traditional Bosch body which appears to be in good shape so DAP is going to test and…

I have been thinking of taking my juice with attitude cts off my truck and selling. Thought about going with an edge ez or smarty and a set of pillar guages. I know I will lose the pump tap but what other things would I be losing out on? Wouldnt bigger injectors make up for not having the pump tap? I am not after huge Hp. Just towing power and mpgs. I am happy tow on 2x3 and usually drove around on 3x5.

So went this week to a local Drag strip for "Amuetaur night" with a few other diesel driving friend's. Took my old Dually in my sig's. Before we got lined up they had everyone open there hood's and show what you've had done and all looked over all the truck's, car's, suv's that were there. I got lined up with a 2007-08 Ford Expedition 5.4 liter, 2wd, auto, all stock, 4 bald tire's, 4 different color paint different on each door. I drive a 4x4 modle expedition every sunday at my second job so i know exaclty what they can and can't do The one i drive has no power to pull even a little trailer we use, gets 7 mpg, it's a horror trying to get up to merge speed on the interstat…

Every great once in awhile if I stand on the truck pretty hard or just a heavy acceleration, I notice my FP drops at cruise from 16.5psi to about 14.5-15psi. It is the strangest thing because if I turn my truck off and restart it, the FP is back up to normal and doesn't give me any more problems for a couple weeks. Has anyone experienced this before or know what is causing it? Very strange...

How many holes are in the stock injectors? I thought the stock ones had 5 and I just got some BD 40hp injectors part #1040275 and they only have 4 holes in the nozzle I was under the impression that it would have more holes for better atomization... As I was looking online to see if I could find any specs on the BD injectors I stumbled upon some injectors on Diesel Power Products... http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p-7530-dodge-12-valve-fuel-injectors-9070-hp.aspx more power then the ones I bought and 1/2 the price... Has any one used DPP injectors and if so what where the results?
