Was at a camping world a while ago and gave it some thought. If I'm gonna pick one of these up, which one should I be getting? Looks like everyone has the SGII. But why do they make the diesel then? http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/scangauge-ii/55455 http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/scangauge-diesel/61464

I thought I would pass on some info for everyone! I had been talking to Mike "mopar1973man" about adding the scangauge II to my truck, but I am already using the OBDII port to run my Edge Attitude with Juice CTS! Mike an I messaged eachother back and forth, while Mike came up with a feasible idea of hard wiring another OBDII port into the truck, but with unknown an unforseeable issues! I called Scangauge and talked to a lady that was very helpful, explained to her that I needed the OBDII port to run my edge, but I also wanted to run their ScanGaugeII, after a few minutes on hold, she came back with the info on a site that has a "Y" adapter giving you the option of running…

I swear that I saw a piece about someone who did a custom CAI by relocating the battery, putting the intake forward where the cold air is coming from... anyone see this story?Russ

So had the thought after changing my FASS 150 gph filter's and still only holding 13psi same at idle, driving and 12 1/2WOT. Would it be at all benifical to place a inline fuel pump between the FASS and VP44? When i changed the lift pump on our work truck only cost $150 at napa and it was a simple two wire horisontial pump with a inlet and outlet not the stock canister type and it really moved the fuel (No Gauge we bucket tested it). Would it raise the PSI or just pull the fass more with no real affect. In a sense burning the fass pump up. Just a thought kinda like a Dual CP3 on newer truck's. Any thought's?

I have been thinking of taking my juice with attitude cts off my truck and selling. Thought about going with an edge ez or smarty and a set of pillar guages. I know I will lose the pump tap but what other things would I be losing out on? Wouldnt bigger injectors make up for not having the pump tap? I am not after huge Hp. Just towing power and mpgs. I am happy tow on 2x3 and usually drove around on 3x5.

In the quest for more power, Current plan is try to find a s480, not much luck, Thoughts of a supercharger always take top honors, even if just casue it looks cool. On the other forum with the superchargers, a previous setup he ran was triple turbos. Basically splitting primary turbo in half. More or less. What about using one of those 351 variable turbos parallel with my turbo. The vgt should spool quick get it going and then the bigger turbo will catch up, then the combined turbos would equal a big single that wouldnt normally be able to be streetable in a DD. Some high end cars have sequential turbos, but I am not sure if the other takes over completely or if they run …

Been running here 2500 miles a month. Feeling like something's going to happen. Had something rattling and never found it then it stopped on own. I think the rear end. I allowed pinion nut to come loose it growled I thought transmission. Took it to my tranny builder I was going to yank it h ed insisted it wasn't a tranny noise. Do finally I found the pinion nut on the dana 80 was loos allowing the pinion gear to walk in and out of the ring gear eating itself. I'm going to run it till it goes then unfortunately caught up the money to buy a ring and pinion 3.55 gear set and rebuild it. In the mean time I'm driving the jetta around to…

I've looked around on here and other forum's and asked around and got a wide gauge of idea's. So I have drove stick shift's for year's now even Learned how to drive in a 3 on the tree chevy truck. But my question is at what RPM's do you shift your truck i know empty vs. loaded, Rear gear, 4, 5, or 6 speed is all a factor but overall what is your choice RPM's. Just for fun here's three different example'sMy Boss drive's our work truck a 94 5 speed Cummin's 3.55 gear's1-2: 2500 rpm's or 5mph2-3: 2600 rpm's or 15mph 3-4: 2200 rpm's or 25mph 4-5: 3100 rpm's or 45mph Refuse's to down shift when slowing down will push the brake to the floor and nearly kill the Motor before enga…

My front end makes a really loud knock through every single bump and vibration it encounters. I remembered my bolt on the shock looking like this when I changed them but had to get it back together and just ignored it. Only the passenger side looked like this, the drivers side was fine. The shock bushing had so much play it could bang each side of the bolt, and it was incredibly loud. So I got some 10.9 hardened bolts that don't have the thread so far up to wear out that should last forever. Went ahead and did both sides. Got some locknuts so I can do away with that big tab thing. I don't know why they did that tab thing when you can get to it with a wrench easily. …

Hello fellow diesel fans! I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 with a 5.9 Cummins. It is stock besides some kind of fuel system modification that returns fuel to the tank if it detects to much fuel is being injected.( Not sure what it’s called). I’ve been researching if a cold air intake is worth it. To me it just looks like a rerouted air filter. But mechanics and other car guys are talking like it’s the king of diesel parts or something. Honestly, I would just take out the stock air routing and just do a direct air filter mount to the turbo. But mechanics are saying it’s bad for the engine. I’m confused please help. Thanks! color copies for low cost at 55 printing

Brought my 98.5 from Colorado to Oklahoma. Along the way the voltage regulator in the alternator went out. One battery got warm and vented a concerning amount of fluid. (Type 31 batteries. Problem battery disconnected). Any ill effects of running a single battery until I swap alternators and get new batteries?

So I decided it was time to install ball valves to make filter changing on my airdog easier. While I was doing this I changed the fuel filters out and pulled the regulator apart so I could inspect the ball and spring. Well now the pressure slowly builds and it takes a good 25 seconds before the pressure hits 18psi. Im at a total loss. This is verified by two mechanical gauges. Pickup starts perfect. Its an Airdog 2-165. The regulator is different than the spring and ball. It has a spring that pushes on a plunger type metal piece to regulate

The turbo I have is a 60mm schwitzer turbo 150 ddp injectors and a hot rod vp44 I bought the truck with all of this and all have less then 6k miles I’ve driven the truck for about 1k miles and notice the turbo doesn’t spool past 8psi until about 2k rpm is this slow? Also the most the turbo has spooled too is about 25psi because it runs out of rpm and smokes really bad down low in third fourth and fifth gear
