Hello All I have a 2001 Dodge 3500 24Val 6 Spd 4x4 i bought it from a local dealer a few month's ago and he could offer me no info on the truck other then it was a one owner truck used souly as a Fifth Wheel Camper hauler. Had all the Safe upgrade's a Fass 150 gph pump, BHAF, Aftermarket Intake Horn, Big line Kit, And Boost, pyro, and Fuel pressure(located right on the end of the hose as it enter's pump). Cranked the truck up this morning. Started fine like always. Half way between home and the shop I noticed my fuel gauge showed 0. I got to the shop shut the truck off and bumped the starter and didn't hear my lift pump running. This evening I'm gonna get a mechanical test gauge to see I its the gauge but if it ain't how do I test the pump. The gauge is a isspro ev2 0-30 electric gauge. I'm thinking its my sender but don't know.

Are there any concerns in regards to cleaning the engine with aerosol cleaner and high pressure water? Areas to avoid for fear of causing more problems than leaving it dirty?

The clutch in the 97 is a stock napa unit I replaced back in 2011. It would be fine except for me putting out more power. I would like to stay away from a dual disk as well as full ceramic. I was looking at the Valair kevlar/ceramic. I've seen em around the $750 range. Neighbor has a 13" valair in his 96 with 3.55s and has grossed upwards of 30k hauling hay. He is a little over stock power.... maybe 250hp. I know South Bend is a sponsor here, and am certainly open to one, but I've never personally known anybody with one or have any experience. Heard good things though. So, I plan to throw some injectors in the mix in the near future ow…

"In this case we found a way to get better fuel mileage and a little more power on some trucks. This pump has ALL the upgrades and improvements that our exact replacement units have." "What we did to achieve this goal was to mix and match parts from other VP44 pumps to advance the timing mechanically and optimize fueling rates for better mileage." "If you are presently or plan on advancing the timing with an electronic plug in device or programmer don’t buy this pump as we are only doing mechanically what those products do electronically. " "The Special X pump is made from all Bosch made parts. It does not have any aftermarket or modified parts in it, so this allows us to…

I have been having alot of problems with my Quad that I bought 3 weeks ago. First I got the p0237 code. I replaced the map sensor. Then I got the p0236 code. I was checking all of the voltage to and from the Quad to see what could possibly causing my issues. Everything has proper voltage except the red/black wire going from the Quad down through the boost fooler to the map. Even on the inside, on the board, no voltage which if i remember correctly should be 5v. Would this be causing the p0236 code? If so is it fixable on my end or is it possible that I was sent a Quadzilla with a bad board?

I have a 96 12 valve with a nv4500. I can hit peaks of 1600 degrees Fahrenheit at 38 psi of boost And it’s still climbing. The egts take off like that in 4th and 5th gear after 2000 rpm when I’m on it. It has a slightly bigger turbo, slightly bigger injectors, a #6 fuel plate, boost elbow, 4 in turbo back exhaust and and a cold air intake I’ve been driving it and pushing it like that for a year now not holding it past 1200 for any longer than a couple seconds I just don’t like spending more time looking at the egt gauge than the road btw the egt probe is mounted on the exhaust manifold. I’m thinking a different turbo or a better inter cooler or maybe a bit less fuel hope…

I have had this programmer for some time and have been reluctant to install it, afraid I might end up damaging something. The truck had a Superchip programmer and I set it back to stock and have been running stock for a while. Towing my camper (9000#) or flatbed (8000# +) is the trucks purpose and I don't drive it like I stole it at all, and was looking at level 2 on the Edge. Any advise from anyone? I have gauges on the pillar for egt, cht, fuel pressure, and tranny temp. I do have plans at some point to have my tranny built up, replace the HY turbo, possibly replace the exhaust, and change injectors. I know many have the Smarty but I already hav…

Hello, I need to cap of the factory fuel supply line. Back at the tank with the Dorman fittining. I have fuel that has been coming out when I drive it. I have since been done install a few weeks. I have the fuel pump on the block. I disconnected line from pump to fuel cannister because of using Vulcan big line kit. But didn't plug the old pumps outlet. Could I be pulling a vacuum some how? I am going to go with an MBRP 4 inch system.. not sure which configuration (stainless, powder coat, or aluminized) probably just single. I was wondering if the PAC-brake or if available, other brands of 'improved' exaust elbow was worth the $275+/- ? The original elbow looks awful choked down! Another thing I have to consider is toughness.. are they as durable as the oem's? (cracking issues)(getting ready to start the 'rebuild' here soon!... about another week of gathering cattle.. and my year's work is complete!)......... unfortunately, 'next years' work started a month ago..

I feel like I should be knocking on wood. I've had no problems with my truck for ages. Feel like the preventive maintenance is paying off! Thanks to you guys and this site for helping me to see potential troubles and what to do about them! Side note...had to remove my studded tires this past week and got some new Toyo's. I am liking the 3rd gen 17" wheels. Cheap bling. Got used ones from a classified ad. Two sets so I have a set for studs and a set for regular tires.

Mike, sence I'm no longer running the power puck, Do you think if I install the RV/275's with the stock motor it'll get me close to the power/performance I had or will it need other help? The reason i'm asking, I'm not looking to hot rod in any way. Just kick it up a little, like the puck did with out the other problems. The puck only had appx 5000miles on it, wont trust one again. It did make pulling the trailer alot better. Thanks Ed.
