New here, Swapped a 24v with a DCS standalone harness into a Land Cruiser. Fires up idles, but NO throttle. Motor was running and driving before swap. APPS is within range,, new batteries, connectors, cables etc. but not getting a signal back to the ECM. Scanner shows ZERO through the OBDII, no change when operating the throttle. Changed sensor .6 to 4.1V with multimeter at sensor and all other parameters are within ranges and check out. 0122 Code- Low Voltage on scanner. Any help on this. I'm hoping the ECM is not bad. Jason

Hey fellas I got some issues maybe you all can help me solve. I been building a 77 crew cab chevy and installed a 97 12v and I've been working on the dodge harness and pcm to fit in the truck because I live in California the ref wants a working obd2 system so I've been busy chopping up the harness to work. I just have pcm and engine harness. I got most of it done and rigged up a obd2 port and got a couple codes pulled witch don't look good p1492 and p1389 the altinator is not charging and the grid heater never cycles I'm not sure if I'm missing something in the harness or if the pcm is toast. What do you guys think?

So, picked up a 1983 Suburban 3/4ton 2wd, only 47k original miles, but been sitting for 25 years. Has a little surface rust on the top of one fender, and only other rust is in the rockers. My neighbor sold it to me, and also has a great running 1992 first gen 5 speed 4wd dodge that is about to get a p pump 24v swap, so he said I can have the engine/trans/radiator, ect... I guess the fun is about to start, I'm sure I'll have some questions along the way, but I'm excited about this project. Don't mind the tire on the front, had to pull it here and she doesn't have brakes....

I have a 53. Block in a 2006 International 4300 service truck that cracked 3 years ago so I Tig welded it & it held up until now. I’ve got access to a couple 6.7 short blocks. Will the my new Vp44 pump with the 24v cylinder head work on the 6.7 block? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Joined because I know many here are well experienced and knowledgeable. Been reading not as a member for a while. I have a 77 1 ton jeep pickup I put a 94 12v auto in. Everything worked fine, took batteries out this spring to paint motor and add some parts over summer. Now I have no overdrive, alternator charged for a bit, now doesn't charge. My brother put in batteries and hooked negative to positive of other battery, giving it 24 volts for couple days before I noticed it. Truck wasn't run like this but I noticed it because the FSS went up in smoke with ignition on. Has no power to FSS, TPS, ESS or transmission sensors. Grounds for sensors are OK.…

Hey guys so hoping I can get some help with my no start issue. 1998.5 24v cummins manual I swaped into my chevy. First of all. About a month ago I was driving down the highway and my truck shut off. Died and left me stranded. Got it towed back to my shop in town and I was sure the injection pump died. So I swapped out the pump With a spare one I had and did not fix my no start issue. I have 20 psi lift pump pressure, good fully charged batterys so it cranks over fast. I did do the vp44 hot wire test and it starts. being this engine is a 98.5-00 that uses the cam and crank sensor. When I rebuilt the engine I replaced both of them so I know their good. I was l…

Hello everyone. I'm new to the Mopar1973man site. I joined to show my conversion so I could maybe be of help to someone doing something similar. I would also like to reach out to see if anyone has tips for tweaking my EFILive tuning to possibly increase my daily driving MPG's. I currently get a steady 15 MPG with regular driving around which is mostly 2 lane roads and highways at 55-58 MPH. On a couple of longer Highway trips I've averaged high 16-17 mpg. Those numbers are logged over 20,000 miles since I did the engine rebuild/conversion. I've read the earlier posts on VP tuning on the earlier fuel systems and was wondering if some of the tuning that worked well on tho…

I’m trying to figure out the OD cancel switch on my swap. Currently the truck runs great. Pulls my camper great on flat ground and small hills but steeper/longer hills I need the option to take it out of O/D to maintain a decent speed and keep EGT down. I’m sure it’s been done before but I’ve tried looking and can’t find any good instructions on how to wire the O/D cancel switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have just installed my quadzilla in my 2000 excursion with a 2002 24v Cummins. I have rv275 injectors and a he351 turbo 47re transmission. What tune would be a good “start” to keep egt under 1200 or so while towing a 7500lb trailer?

So I have a horrible sinus infection which lead to inner ear infections on BOTH ears, and has generally been a shitty experience. My right ear drum popped from pressure, my left one is trying, and everything is muffled. I can't work right now, so I'm home, stuck inside, waiting for the antibiotics to work. In the meantime I've slept too much and now have become a night owl. Thus I think too much lol. Anyway, rambling aside, here's my idea/question. I like my truck, but it's not exactly everything I want. I've also been jonesing for a nice longbed square body Chevy. But I only have room for one truck in my life right now. Thus, the idea. I'm wondering how…

Sorry for the long post but I have to give some background. 08 f250 with 00 24v Cummins. Recently finished the swap and have been driving around for the past month. Truck seems very slow until converter locks up. With a sxe363 63/68/14 and DAP 175hp sac injectors I’m only seeing around 20 psi of boost with 50% throttle and seeing 1200-1300 on egts. I just started playing with tuning on my quad adrenaline (NO WIRE TAP) and was able to get the egts down some but the boost still seems low. Actually lower. At 50% throttle, 2500rpm, lvl3 quad, egts are now 1100 and boost is 16psi. I’ve been told by some that my boost #s are extremely low for my setup. I’ve made a boost leak te…

Well I have built the truck that I want. After looking at a new 17 F-250 and seeing the sticker 70k, this build is finally happening. So bear with me while I try and describe it. I have a 2004 F-250 4x4 that had the six oh in it. That's the primary vehicle, I purchased a 08 F-250 that was totaled for the interior, dash, and tranny that had just been built by Revmax. I knew the owner of the truck and sent him there. I also purchased a 02 Cummins for the build, and a 07 Ford F-250 front clip. So for the interior, in order for the dash, climate control and gauges to work, I swapped the firewall. Also swapped the complete wiring harness from front to rear and the computer. T…

I found this earlier while looking for real Cummins (not molested by Dodge) VP44, 6-cylinder trucks mated to Allison 5/6-speeds. Thought I'd share. Not sure if it's what I consider an ISB, or if it's the common-rail variety. https://quickdrawbrand.com/product/cummins-isb-3-9-frame-cut-with-allison-1000-5-speed-overdrive-transmission-prewired/

Gents, A few years ago I ... ok a really good friend of mine who is a wizard of a mechanic helped/did a lot of it... we stuffed a 4BT into a 71 Ford. We ended up doing a lot more then just the engine. Dana 44 out of a 78 F250 (disk brakes) Power steering box out of a 78 Power brakes using the chev bread van hydro boost 5 speed from a 90s ford with a mated 205. About all thats original is the body, frame, and dana 60 rear. I tried my hand at Youtube and still post videos from time to time. I think i am up to 8 videos, some of them are probably a little boring. My future plane is to actually …
