When I mash the key fob “lock” button on our 2001 , the doors lock, and no other lights go off.   Wife that has a brain tumor has been telling me for some time that something is broken and the tail and front turn signals are supposed to light up also. I don’t remember lights going off when you hit the fob since we got it in 2005.

Who’s memory is working better…mine or hers?

Thanks

I get out of truck, close the door, push lock button on key fob.   The interior dome light shuts off, horn beeps once, doors lock.

My Volvo park lights flash once when locking but no horn beep.

Mine is, unlock/lights on both doors open, light goes out after set time. Lock/lights off both doors locked.

OP here...Thanks to those that replied.

Digging thru owners manual...could not find anything that says head or tail lights light up when you lock or unlock.

Mine never have. On either truck. Horn only honks on the 24v.

Since my alarm has a mind of its own, goes off like a bad temper kid every once in awhile, I have to keep my FOB in the door for a quick Alarm shut down.

I need to take the box out and wrap with foil to stop the RF noise and stop the whole police dept from showing up when the horn goes off. lol

No lights with the factory fob on my truck either.  I had a remote starter installed and my new fob locks/unlocks and now the lights blink.  I think most factory units do flash the lights though, every other vehicle I have owned with key less entry did.

Same here and no headlight or parking lights flash

Mine don't flash either, the horn did honk but I turned that off because it was annoying me. I need to do what @JAG1 was describing too because my alarm goes off randomly.

There is an aluminum foil tape for the HVAC industry used on duct work that I'm going to use.
