June 3, 201114 yr Owner You don't... It part of the Central Timer Module (CTM) under the dash... If you unplug it you lose a bunch of stuff like wipers, etc...
June 4, 201114 yr Author I think it's a conspiracy man, the gov is trying to brain wash us one ding at a time
June 4, 201114 yr Owner If you find the box under the dash you could take some silcone put a blob on the speaker opening. Then it would be muffled. But if you deside you want the dinger then all you got to do is peel the silcone off the speaker grill.
June 4, 201114 yr hmm would the dinger be a part of the CTM on my 96? because I don't seem to have one and my wipers are really unpredictable, and the timed delay function doesn't work.
June 30, 201113 yr I think you can turn it off with your keyless entry remote. When I first got my truck I remember the remote being able to do a bunch of fancy stuff but cant remember if this was one. Look in your owners manual.
June 30, 201113 yr I just read thru my owners manual on all of the programmable features and couldn't find the optin to disable the "key-in-ignition reminder.. if you can find out how please let us know!
June 30, 201113 yr Im out of the country again and wont be back to the trucks untill september but I will look then.
February 3, 201213 yr whats your reasoning for wanting to leave the door open with the key in the switch.
February 3, 201213 yr There are plenty of times when my ignition key doesn't leave the ignition, and it would be nice if it didn't ding.
February 4, 201213 yr Staff You don't... It part of the Central Timer Module (CTM) under the dash... If you unplug it you lose a bunch of stuff like wipers, etc... How does Mike know so darn much? Wish I could get like that He probably studies the trucks wiring schematic every night till 2 am
February 4, 201213 yr i was wondering because they make a tool to shut it up, for when you have to have the door open to work on it.
How do you disconect that ding pos. :banghead:
