Do you need to disconnect the rear driveline? Or can you just put the transfere case and auto trans in neutral and be on your way?

Thank you

The transfer cases have an oil pump that is run by the output shaft so if the driveshaft is turning the pump is working. Put the TCase in neutral and nothing but the output shaft will turn.

how are you towing it? are you lifting the front onto a dolly? if so then remove rear prop shaft, else, what everyone else stated....

no need to remove anything, with the xfer case in neutral all that spins is the output shaft and rear driveline.

Yep front would be on a dolly because of the slide in camper height. Thanks all. I ask cause trucks been smooth running on the 0216 code for three-4our yrs now. Just a matter of time I guess.

Not sure how I got here, but one more thing to remember. Plug off exhaust with rag, so some how it doesn't draw air out of it and spins turbo, bushings/bearings might fail in turbo if it does spin when in tow. we did it with Duce and half's when using tow bar, or on flat bed.

That's a cool thought. I think many of us can appreciate this. Thank you.
