  1. I'm officially in the Big Obnoxious Air Filter club!
  2. I'll bet a £ to a pinch of ~~it where the ones that don't work out the box are from
  3. Think of it as a warning whistle for other drivers that your spooling up and ready to unleash the beast. Just like when a guy at work told me my truck was leaking (water separator valve on the filter housing) I told him "it isn't leaking, it's sweating torque"
  4. It has been so long ago that bought it that it might be pre Chinese. At least the instructions anyway.
  5. Here is an early 110, all windows are sliding, if you look at the front side windows you'll see the back sliding peice, changed after about 1987 or 88 but was like that for 40 years plus https://swva.co.uk/classic-car/land-rover-defender-110-1984/ https://www.landrovercentre.com/product/910xug/ Apparently Big huge market for the things in the USA, funnily enough I was talking to a guy today here that exports them to the USA, he has a contact in the USA and she takes whatever he can send, he goes through them and they look brand new when he's done, mainly Defenders though not the early 90's/110's which is what the link is
  6. I bought one from Geno's 6 years ago and 135,000 miles ago. It is still working fine. I thought my OEM fan wasn't operating properly, but it turned out that it was fine. The dirty oily mess in the in the center of the radiator was the problem. @dripley, I think the steady coolant temperature reading your are seeing after the clutch fan permanently locked up would be expected. There is now a much more stable flow of air passing through the radiator all of the time which equates to less temperature swing, which means the thermostat can regulate the coolant temperature easier. - John
  7. Your welcome Dripley... I'm still a big FAN of chickens for target practice...
  8. When mine locked up last summer I drove it for about 2 weeks due to working 16hr days. I will say this, just buy the OEM from either the dealer or genos garage, I tried the part store special, the good gmd brand from rockauto, and lastly the amazon special. All stayed locked or didn’t lock at all. OEM was the only one that worked properly From the box.
  9. Can you elaborate a bit please
