  1. Kubota failed and failed again.

Yesterday I was raking through the pile and separating lumber and debris. FedEx shows up and shuts down the tractor. Took care of FedEx, and then the tractor would start. After probing the internet looking for information. I gave up and quit for the day. Got up this morning and tore all the stuff apart and found the problem: the solenoid lead was pulled and hidden, could see it. Plug it into the starter worked. Then put it all back together. Now I'm repiling the debris, and the belt breaks, and the alarms are going off for an overheat condition. Now everything is at a stopping point again. Now I'm forced to enjoy the 4th of July and just relax being the tractor broke and now gotta wait for parts.

  2. Kubota M62 - Serivce

Finally got my materials together to do a service on the new-to-us but 2018 M62 Kubota backhoe. Since I was pulling all the body off the engine finding out that the doghouse panels are missing clips and are tie-wired on. I upgraded to racing zipties. I replaced some old-looking Kubota filters on this machine. I dumped the little 9-quart engine, which actually has 2 drain plugs, because the front driveshaft is running right up the middle of the oil pan. Boy, it's tough to spin off the filter when you can't find your oil filter wrenches. Mark found them for me. Fuel filter: no problem with a filter wrench. That one seems to need to be pretty tight to keep it from weeping and hard starts. Air filters: there are two filters, an inner and an outer filter. I just opted for full replacements of all filters. Am I waiting till after the 4th of July to run to Lewiston for some UDT2 fluid for Kubota, unless anyone knows of something better? Locally, no one sells the Kubota UDT2 fluid. I've called and looked in different shops, even at the shops that service equipment.

I love the built in jacks. 🤣😂🤣😂
  3. Busy Man - Titanium

Beast got his new VP44 injection pump. Been a long while since I've done long work like this, wow! I can feel it all through my shoulders and arms from hanging upside down over the tappet cover and injection pump. Few flaws I did on that job. I got sidetracked by people coming and going, and then forgot to tighten the 1,2,4 injection lines at the pump, and couldn't figure out the diesel fuel smell. D'Uh! 🫣 Tighten all that up, and Beast came to life.

To test Beast out, I packed up the next day and went to the local C&M Lumber. No wire taps yet, but I will soon be reinstalling my BD Stealth Plate. I ran up and got 20 feet of 6 AWG wire and a few bags of copper ring terminals. Yeah, work time in the RV. The main power lead into the house is bad and dropping voltage. Since I already have the 6 AWG from the battery to the inverter I opted for making that my main lead in the house, which is double is size from the mere 14 AWG main line coming from the factory wiring. Rebuilt the entire power cabinet and re-laid out everything.

Now the power issues of the past RV trip are no longer an issue for our future trip to Boise for medical. Wife still has a shoulder issue that needs to be dealt with. All this was repairs from the failed trip to Boise, where we made it down to Boise, but the VP44 injection pump failed out with a P1689 code. While travelling back. Then, even the next time I wanted to move Beast to repair. VP44 threw the P1689 code again.
  4. Happy Birthday to Tweety Bird

May 26th is her birthday. Strange that the two of us have the 26th for birthdays. Then, strangely enough, our wedding day is the same as when we met—the 25th of June. Yes, we are still going to get married in public. @Tweety Bird asked for green today and not the dark green.
  5. Our last trip down to Boise ID we were going to dry camp with the RV as @Tweety Bird had medical appointments. While down in Boise / Eagle area Beast just died and jumped back to life.I called it and was the VP44. Fast forward we get home and park Beast beside the RV. Fast forward again yesterday i went to start Beast and move.Nope no start. Bummed I was going to have to work out in the yard. This morning I figure to try starting Beast again. Long crank but it started. Quickly move over the garage door so I could start the replacement. Managed to just get the pump out. Sad part is im not as strong as I once was and everything seems so very over tightened. Really its not im just that weak.
  6. We return home!

We are still currently living in the RV as we start to unpack into the house again, @Tweety Bird and I enjoyed the dry camping we did up at Lost Valley Reservoir. We needed the break so badly that we never went fishing at all. We just enjoyed the quiet and lack of cell service. My phone had just 1 bar, which barely would work, and I was able to text a few friends and communicate with them. We had two days of a very cold and windy snowstorm. Even back home, I was able to catch the Mopar1973Man weather station once to see 17 MPH winds during that storm.

Thor managed to pull the RV but not hing like what Beast can. Remember, Thor is a stock truck with slightly larger injectors, like +50 HP. The RV at 8,3xx pounds was a good tug to get up to 4,800 feet from 2,8xx feet here at home. Still, Thor managed a mere 13.5 MPG on the run out for camping and only came into town to pick up gasoline for the generator.
  7. Where is Titanium Hiding Now???

It was awesome to just take time away from the mess in my own yard. Even though both of us were worn out and really didn't do anything much while out here. The weather got cold and is snowing. We were up near Lost Valley Reservoir at an elevation of roughly 4,800 feet. The first two days were spent sitting at the dining table, looking out the windows at the storm rolling in and then rolling out and clearing up. Titanium was in hair and super simple, just black eyeliner and black eye shadow, then black lipstain. The focus was more on healing and rest. Which we did for the 4 days we were out there. We both enjoyed the dry camping so much that it will become a normal travel plan.

Even with our medical requirements and doctor's visits, we can pull the RV down towards Boise and dry camp somewhere. If we need a more solid home base, I still have my friend "Muddy" in Parma, who is always looking forward to us stopping in. There will be more travel with us using Beast and the RV, more so for even shopping in Lewiston, ID. We can dry camp anywhere or stay at the Clearwater Casino, which is a full hook-up spot too.
  8. Gone - Weekend rest!

@Tweety Bird and I will be heading out to Lost Valley Reservoir. We are going to get away from the house to give us both a break. Time to go fishing! It's been a rough spring with weather issues and attempting to keep vehicles running. We are just both burned out. The new injection pump for Beast will be here on Monday. The owners of Mopar1973Man.Com are going to disappear to the lake. Take a weekend and rest and be free for a while.
  9. The change that became permanent

So, as I was packing up on my first trip, I was doing a lot of back and forth, loading stuff in the RV. For 2 days, I didn't wear any makeup at all. When I got going and realized I needed to stop at the local hardware store for a chunk of chain, like 6 feet or so. This was purchased to lock the generator to the truck or RV. When I walked into the store without makeup on, everyone kept coming up to me and asking, "Are you OK? Are you sick again? Cancer coming back?" Nope, just was super busy and didn't make up for the days of packing. Then, to find out during the trip, I left both eye shadow palettes at home. After returning home, I was so tired I spent one more day without makeup.

Then yesterday, May 14, I was in full Teal makeup and hair. Wearing my ripsaw collar again. Life was back to normal again. Sadly, I didn't take any photos. Yeah, I know, no photo, no proof, right?
  10. We are out of here for a time.

@Tweety Bird has some shoulder issues we need to deal with. She has a few medical appointments to handle down in the Treasure Valley Idaho.

Don't fret, we have packed up the RV today and are nearly ready to start a travel trip down south. This is like a practice run because eventually we want to travel cross-country to see some of the members of this website. I know I have a spot with @Doubletrouble. I know I need to rattle some other members in the future. We are going to do as much as we can as a stand-alone RV, no RV parks, etc. Yesterday and today have been very busy, loading personal stuff in the RV and getting everything tucked away. As for Titanium, I've taken most of the wigs out of the house and loaded nearly all my makeup supplies with me. This is not just a few-day trip; it's going to be a long 2 to 3-week trip. Instead of driving back and forth, I'm going to rough it in the RV and do the best we can on our own. This will give us a break from the house and the mess here. Then handle the medical appointments. In the same token, get the RV ready for travel more so. More to come as Titanium Travels the state of Idaho down south. There is even discussion of "fishing" yup the fishing poles are packed.
  11. Black & White

@Tweety Bird asked me what color today. She paused a bit, then said do something with a color you have not used in a while. Black and white hasn't been used in a long while. She asked me to do something to reverse the colors on the wig. Well, I came up with a wild idea using liquid makeup. It's a wild idea and just doing the crazy thoughts.
  12. I had a vibration starting on the truck that was noticeable by about 70 MPH. I have already crawled under once before to attempt greasing the joints and check for play, but the u-joints seemed good. This is why I always suggest a full removal of the shaft so it's not loaded by hanging / gear tension. Now it's been some time since I've really been a mechanic, due to my cancer (strength), but I need to keep up with my repairs on Beast. @Tweety Bird came out to document while I was working. Strangely enough @Doubletrouble called while I was working and helped him set up a Quadzilla on his truck at the same time.

I was smart and bought a full rebuild kit for the front driveshaft. 3 u-joint and the center bearing for the double cardan joint. When I got the front joint removed from the front axle, the one bearing cup fell off. Yup, I found the bad joint in the front u-joint, but I continued to remove the entire shaft to check the full range of motion to see any other damage to the u-joints. The double cardan joint was fine. I broke out the grease gun and pumped a good load of marine grease into the double cardan joints. Replacing the front u-joint was a snap with a pair of needle nose pliers, pluck the snap rings out, and using an old socket tap out the one bearing cup and tapped it back the other direction. Popped the other cup out. Quick clean out of the front yoke and slipped in the new u-joint, but remember to place your grease zerk in the proper location so you can reach it later! Now finish up and install the driveshaft again.

@Tweety Bird went with me for the ride. The truck is so smooth, even with a quick blast to 90 MPH, it's like glass again. Smooth, no vibrations, and very enjoyable to drive. I'm so happy the double cardan doesn't require rebuilding.
  13. Back to work for Beast!

As far as my wife and I are concerned, Beast is going to be retired to strictly trailer hauling. I'm in the process of getting the RV ready, and the same with Beast. @Tweety Bird has medical to deal with down in Boise, Idaho. To save on motel stays or just driving back and forth. We are hauling the RV down and going to start in an RV park, but eventually move to a random spot where we are not in an RV park. As for Beast, I need to look into a vibration in the driveline, which I'm pretty sure is my front drive shaft. If I can get the shaft out quickly today, I'm going to inspect all the joints for looseness. I have replacement joints I can install, plus the center bearing too, between the double cardan joint. My wife and I want to start traveling soon in the future to go out and meet you guys and gals out there. I still have the knowledge, but I can help people repair their trucks with my knowledge. We are going to start building the RV up for travel. I just picked up a 1 x 4 x 8 to allow me to mount the CPAP machines in the bedroom.
  14. Titanium as a Technical Advisor

I'm finding that people don't really care what I look like as long as the knowledge keeps rolling. I've got friends requesting me to sit and watch them work and help where I can. First job was a friend in Caldwell, Idaho that had driver side brake pad start scraping metal-to-metal contact. Luck he was smart, drove home, and parked the truck. The truck is a 1999 Dodge 1500 V8 5.2L 2WD. Driver side I showed him the basics of how to remove, which is simple: get the truck jacked up and remove the wheel. Grab a 3/8" Allen Socket and remove the 2 caliper guide pins. Caliper comes off simple. Little fun with getting the large single piston back in fully to fit the new pads over. All the driver side rteplaced. Tire back on and torqued tight on the lug nuts. Moved to the other side and someone before him helicoiled one of the caliper bolts and the loctite didn't hold. Ugh! We ended up hunt all over Nampa - Caldwell for a helicoil kit to repair that knuckle. This is where I had to step up and do the tap work and get the helicoils in. He understand once he gets moved to Riggins, Idaho he NEEDS to replace that entire knuckle on the passenger side.
  15. During my trip to Lewiston, Idaho, the passenger side headlight failed. I assume the bulb was blown. I attempted to get a replacement bulb in town. Not possible. We stayed to daylight travel to get home. I returned home and ordered a set of 55w ballast and 55w D2H bulbs as a set. As I was disconnecting wires, the passenger side power plug from the MotoControl had burned one of the power pins. I had to contact RetroShop to order the new MotoControl. I've just needed a good weather day to get the headlights installed again.
  16. Towing Tune / Break time

Wife and I have started a trip to Lewiston ID. Its a work trip being we need groceries and supplies. Yeah its extremely tough to get even basic repairs done waiting for weather and not laying in the mud. Took most of the day to get packed up to roll. Made it to a pull out near Whitebird ID. Grabbing breakfast.

  17. Time to head back.

Today we are checking out of our RV space and heading back home with our cache of goodies we picked while in town. This has been a wonderful experience and teaching both of us what we need to travel on the road to see some of you. For a bench test I think we can get started traveling state to stay soon. As for makeup artistry wife and I enjoyed all the great comments as we been in town.

Been nice for both us to escape the mess at home and take a break away from problems, phones, projects, etc.
  18. On the road.

Wife and I took the RV and headed to Lewiston Idaho for shopping and a bit of down time. Ive had my first problem on my trip my passenger headlight finally blew the bulb. Come to find out Lewiston doesnt even have and D2H bulbs for HID headlights. Im going to order new ballast and bulbs for Beast from Amazon.

    https://a.co/d/0hjxRZNE

Upgrading from 35w ballast to 55w ballast and changing from 5000k to 6000k bulbs. Finding a bulb with the right connector is tough.

  19. Lewiston Idaho

After many little mistakes like me forgetting my ostomy supplies. Trip home. Then back to camp. The last blog was easy 48 miles. We left Whitebird Idaho and got into Lewiston Idaho. Climbing grades like Whitebird Grade 7%. Oil temperature barely touched 180°F even though EGTs 1,100 to 1,350°F as my set limit but touched 1,400°F once. Enging coolant stay 205 to 215°F most of the climb. As we can down grade the oil temp cooled of back to 172°F. Beast is doing good but tripped a P0341 but the light went back out. Im grabbing a new cam sensor while in town.

  20. Frustrated...

People tend to forget what has happened to me. Let me update you on a frustration I had to deal with. First of all, dealing with medical insurance companies is a PITA. I lost my insurance for a short time, which now locked up all my medical treatment, testing, etc til lthis was sorted out. This includes my ostomy bags, too, which I was running out. Calling insurance handlers (subcontracted) to get information straightened out so I could get supplies. This last Sunday, my night bag fell apart right about 7am leaving me in a puddle of urine. Strip the bed, take a shower, and clean up. Do the laundry for the bed. I was helping a neighbor yesterday with trying to get an RV started again. No power to the aftermarket electric fuel pump. Had him run new power to the rear. The carburetor started leaking on this Ford 460 CID motorhome. Seen that it's the accelerator pump diaphragm. I ran to McCall to pick up the new accelerator pump. Came back, I was sore and folded for the day. Last night at 4am my bag leaked again. I was so pissed off that I was pissed on again. These kinds of events bring me back to the reality of myself being medically changed. After being up most of the early morning to do laundry and remake the bed. @Tweety Bird and I managed to sleep again and make up for the shortfall. Frustrating that my muscles and my body have such low limits now its sad. Just standing for long periods can be painful now, even though I'm not doing any mechanical work myself, but being there to guide people is still rather fun. My neighbor Carl he has known me for a long time and asked if I would be the brains of his move and get his vehicles running so he can move. Ford 460 Motorhome with fuel issues. A jeep with driveline issues (damaged rear yoke on the rear diff and broken rear glass).

  21. Beast is falling apart!

Beast is falling apart completely. The plastics are failing left and right. I've got to pull the dash apart to fix a speaker problem. @Tweety Bird telling me just order the plastics and get them coming. I placed an order through LMC truck for the new plastics for the dash, and then found a smaller part supplier that has the rear quad door cables for a pair at $30. Cheap! Yesterday I was out and had enough dry weather to install the rear speakers and then move the rear camera to the rear bumper. The Wolfbox dash camera works awesome. New pair of door cables for the rear quad doors and then new dash plastics!
  22. Titanium Not Going To Forced

This post is going to get political. There is a small group of Goth/Emo/Alt people claiming that if you want to be part of the group, you have to vote democratic. As for me, I started my Goth/Emo/Alt journey into makeup artistry with my bladder cancer. Then I started to catch flak for posting my Goth/Emo/Alt photos on coments ot artist I liked. One person told me if I don't vote democratic then I'm just a poser. Me. I had to create another photo shoot for new photos to handle the punk kids who are just being mean. Yes, I've got a few more photos of me with my Favorite shirt, "If Don't Like Me... F___ Off Problem Solved." I will not be forced to think a particular way or forced into politics for a dress style. Sorry, I will not comply!

In the meantime, I've crossed 1,000+ followers on TikTok.

Still making friends all around the world with Goth/Emo/Alt makeup designs. Like my newest follower, I found out is Gen X as well, and that enjoys the same kind of makeup artistry. Say hello to N.U.Noni... (Header photo)

  23. YouTube, and more...

Hey Gang, I just spent some time going back to YouTube and doing some tweaking to my account. Now my Mopar1973Man.Com videos are still there, and I'm going to start building videos in the near future for articles. I'm going to still have to do repairs with what I have so this is going to get interesting working in the yard, doing repairs on Beast and Thor both in the wilderness of Idaho. Currently, the last few days here have been right about 95℉ to 108℉. Yeah, I'm going to be doing brakes on the rear axle, being the slide pins got bound up and worn the pads down pretty quickly. But Yeagh, I've got to keep vehicles running and do the repairs for now. Time to dig out the GoPro and do some video work.

Now, since Titanium is my new character (Emo Goth / Goth). I took my old personal account, downloaded the few videos off of it, and then renamed the account to Titanium.

    Titanium Social Media Links
    https://www.youtube.com/@titaniumgoth

    https://www.tiktok.com/@titaniumgoth

I'll start filming my makeup artistry here in the Titanium account. This is my Goth character I created to help me deal with my second run of bladder cancer. You all have to realize that the very thought that I could die from cancer this time. Instead of letting the depression eat me, I fought back with Titanium and won the hearts of my medical staff. Then, after the medical was done and I survived the odds, I started to enjoy the reactions of people with Titanium.
  24. Looking for members that wish to help!

Hey there gang, I'm looking for people who truly want to get involved with the website. I'm adding functions like the Gallery so people can place there truck photos up and show them off to the rest of the world. The Event Calendar is going to be set up for the idea that we might plan travel trip to places and share our location so people can meet up with me. I also want to bring the Zoom meetings together too. I'm going to be building articles on Thor here shortly we are going to have more information on 3rd Gen Trucks soon. I'm serious I'm looking for people who want to get involved in building up this website. I'm willing to teach and show you around. Most of the stuff you would be handling is from the front end and no code knowledge is required. Anyone wishing to become part of the staff please contact either @Mopar1973Man or @Tweety Bird and we will interview you and see what you have to offer the website.
