  1. What is your best skill? Now start you own home business with your best skill(s)...Like myself I've got 2 business I run...1. Cloud 10 Computers (Serving Idaho now for 19 years)2. Mopar1973Man (Serving Idaho now 5 years)Now mind you I'm not rich by no means but I make enough to pay the bills. There are time when things are slow but other times when there hopping too. All my customers are by word of mouth I don't advertise at all. Thing is you already showing signs that you not happy with your current job and I'm sure you got good skills at doing other things. So take control of the moment and create your own little business and do something you going to enjoy doing. When you do a job you enjoy doing the product always turns out top notch. For example my Cloud 10 Computers business I produces many custom made computers and several of them have exceeded there life span and continue to function just as good as the day I made them. Like Johnson & company (Real Estate Co.) has a computer I build its over 9 years old and still going! :D
  2. Actually I don't even mess with notebooks... PITA to get parts up here for them... :rolleyes Then there other problem they are propriety to themself so if you need parts you stuck in your boat looking for that exact model... Where desktops are simple I can use anything I want and parts are readily available... Even my competition admitted to me he hates to work on laptops and parts are hard to get... :wow
  3. Well becareful of the what brake pad material you use. If the pad material is harder than the rotor material you eat the rotors quickier. It might provide better braking power and such but could wear the rotors faster. Like my Mom's 96 with Drum rear tend to stick and grab for the first mile or so. Once the truck has gotten to highway speed the rust is gone. So it might be a matter of dragging the brakes for the first little distance like pulling out of the shed to the driveway scrape the rust off the rotors.
  4. Best I can say is the timing and fueling software... Something about that... I don't think there is any phyiscal differences...
  5. Better than my slow connection... `
  6. As for that....I've installed TuneUp Utilities 2009 and optimize the Network connection and remove un-needed services. Then installed Nortons Internet Security 2008 and turn off both the Windows firewall and windows defender. After I done that I've got a rock solid connection too. The windows secuirty features are minimal at best. So install a good anti-virus and firewall software and shut down the junk... Like the IPv6, UPNP, windows firewall, and windows defender...If you want to be really smart turn off the windows update and just wait till service pack come instead of downloading tons of junk updates for hacks and security where Nortons covers even better than Windows... ;)
  7. Cool... Glad you found something that works good... Myself I had a customer come in complaining about his Win XP being slow. The machine is only 5 years old. (1.3 GHz, 256 MB, 80 GB HDD). Yeah he need to upgrade big time but doesn't want to mess with Vista... Well after sitting in front of my machine (Vista 64 Ultimate) and show him some of the features Vista has compared to Win XP he's going to buy a computer soon from me... ;) Basically he just like the general public and screaming about something he's never even tried like a 3 year old... ` Win Vista isn't that bad... There is a few things to consider and look out for but all in all it a very good system compared to Win XP (32 Bit). :thumbsup
  8. Ok... Pressurize the system to about 15-20 PSI. Then spray the system down with soap solution looking for bubbles. Check the manifold, IAT & MAP sensors, boots, turbo, intercooler (yeah I know you got it fix but...).Then you might take the turbo off and verify the wastegate is not sticking open. Also check to make sure there is no drive pressure loss. Check you exhaust manifold, exhaust housing on the turbo and wastegate for good seal.Do you have a boost elbow???
  9. I bought the stock Jacobs brake for mine... Now like BD and some other have made some serious improvements in design for better hold back compared to the Jocobs. I think it the BD exhaust brake that is got a spring loaded valve that allows for a balancing of pressure at high RPM's but when the RPM's get low the valve closes and allows for improved braking at low RPM's. Compared to Jacobs brake its just got a hole in the butterfly valve for pressure balance...
  10. I've really not had any experience with 5th gear problems yet... Except mine is starting to hang up get into 5th a bit now... As for the fix you currently have I would bet will do just fine compared to the early versions of fixs that included welding the nut back on.
  11. Well for drums just do a normal rear brake inspection and re-adjust the shoes if there not damage... But I think you're going to be replacing the drums and the shoes...
  12. Drum or Disc rear end? Disc brakes are a separate drum brake in the hub of the rotor. You need to pull the rotors off and inspect the brake shoes and check the drum for heat damage. If all fine then re-adjust the shoes as pointed out here.. http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/e-brake/e-brake.htm
  13. Dave Goerend's is one of the better tranny builder I've heard of... ;) http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/manufacture/manufacture.htm (Towards the bottom of the page)
  14. That sucks the big one... :wow I didn't get a warranty card with mine and didn't know I had to fill one out... :confused:This really suck just because of a piece of paper... How about the orignal invoice from the dealer you purchased from???
  15. Don't go there... I just tried that stunt... I loaded up my old laptop with win98SE and it worked and could surf the web yes... But all the addons are not available any longer... I went looking for drivers and couldn't find any... Software was just as tough too... ` So I bailed back to WinXP and called it good...So the old 95 and 98 are dead for sure...
  16. Nice but no dice... You need the diode pack too...
  17. x2 Agreed! :thumbsup Enuf said... :thumbsup
  18. Well fuel saver software is typically heavy on the timing curve and not so much on the fuel but still in all like Cummins2k said I would highly suggest you get a fuel pressure gauge and watch it to be sure the fuel pressure stays above 10 PSI at all times. I'm running a AD 150 and never get below 15 PSI unless its a really cold morning than it might fall to 14 PSI... Typically it idles at 17-17.5 PSI and at WOT 16 PSI...
  19. Here is another site for you Keydl... http://www.filterminder.com/
  20. That was one of the things that never got me to switch to Mac or Linux... Is the fact 90% of the world works around MS products. So you either got to find a look-a-like that was compatible with MS products for you OS or you had to find a emulator to load a MS software. In either case there was some short comings. I know Vista has is bad comments and raps.... But hang in there here come the NEW version of Windows 7... :wow 8| http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/ Now I've got to play with this on a demo machine at my dealer shop. It wasa 6.0 GHz AMD processor with only 1 GB of RAM but very powerful enironment capable of display 3 movies on 3 different monitors using 1 video card without flicker or studder. Then still have the power to still use the computer and surf the web. This thing was smokin fast and very stable!1
  21. Boy you got all the dress for it don't you? Wow! :wow Your one serious dirt bike rider. Well I got one thing over you its much easier to keep the greasy side down on the dirt with a ATV than its with a dirt bike... LOL Well its sure a buyers market right now for off-road toys thats for sure. I reason why I bought a Honda is because that all ther other manufactures are switching to automatic trans (belt systems). Most of these don't have much for hold back or engine braking for steep downhill runs like a manual trans does. So Honda is one of the one ATV left with a manual trans with electric shift. The other thing is most all dealers up here locally are Honda dealers so part are available.
  22. Not that I know of... Hey Dorkweed! Do you have rack and pinion??? I'm pretty sure you don't.... LOL ;)
  23. Send me a link of the Geno's page and I'll let you know...
  24. Well the WS is on the suction side of the pump... So the pressure would fall. According to AirDog (PFT) you should be able to fill the WS with diesel fuel and shake it a bit and dump the trash out.
  25. Regulator spring, check ball, or a kinked hose?
