  1. P0230 - Transfer Pump (Lift Pump) Circuit Out of Range Problem detected in fuel transfer pump circuits.P0234 - Turbo Boost Limit Exceeded Problem detected in turbocharger wastegate.Ok. The P0230 mean that the current load of the lift pump curcuit is too high or too low. Too high is like when the rotor or moter shaft is seized or too low would be like the lift pump is disconnected. The P0234 is from the wastegate being rusted shut if stock.
  2. Awwww... Did you get left out of the picture??? (The humor) LOL Well with everything happen here I kind of be side tracked with 3 forest fires going and be hopping with Salmon River Rural Fire Dept. So would you be graceous to re-explain your issue again and maybe some else might get an idea too...
  3. Yeap I use Scott's TP rolls too... You can use any tight wound TP you want but do get the jumbo rolls they have a different roll size (cardboard).
  4. P1691 Fuel Injection Pump Controller Calibration Error Internal fuel injection pump failure. Low power, engine derated, or engine stops. Seems like your VP44 is going out for a dirt nap... Look for places with good warranty and low price. Try my small list of vendors... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/dealers/dealers.htm
  5. It might? But that is seriously odd though... I figured with the additional load of the A/C compressor it would increase the EGT and boost not drop it...
  6. Well... I got another first for the books my fan controller is acting weird... low position is no working at all but all the other positions are working. I'm going to assume the fan resistor in the HVAC is shot...
  7. Gear box is shot... I had this exact same problem on my old 1972 Dodge Pickup. The power valve inside is only opening in the one direction and the other direct the pin leans over and doesn't open the valve...
  8. Sad but true... APPS sensor ALWAYS throws a code if it fails even only for a split second. But a failing VP44 might and might not trip a code at all but throw a dead pedal at you...
  9. Hmmm... Good one... I would check your filters (cheap and easy) then check your suction line and pickup assembly... Since its a 100 series I could bet money the pickup screen in the tank could be plugging up (maybe).Kind of doubt the gauge is bad... Unless its a electric gauge WITHOUT a needle valve... Then the sender could be getting beat up by the VP44 pulses...
  10. Get the engine with the ECM on it then you go either way... But I would still suggest a SO engine if at all possible (still with the ECM on it).
  11. You might be sorry if you did that... You might actual stay here... LOL Well you could check that by twisting the compressor pulley with the belt off and check the pulley bearing then twist the hub and check the compressor internals for grity or grinding feeling...
  12. I've seen the same article too...
  13. Man it a wild goose chase for you... I don't think the ECM is the problem though...
  14. Well APPS sensor when it fails it will ALWAYS throw a P0121, P0122, or P0123 error code... Since no error codes are present then it most likely going to be you VP44... 8| http://www.bluechipdiesel.com/vp44diagnostichelp.html
  15. I swapped out my Big O AT tires (235/85 R16) for my offroad Cooper STT tires (265/75 R16) and lost -4 MPG's just heading down to Ontario, OR for my front ABS sensor being repair. I dropped from 21-23 MPG (Big O AT) down to 16-17 MPG (Cooper STT). Tire a huge impact on MPG's...
  16. Good ol' Idaho people are helpful... ;)
  17. I played with the downshifting... I got mixed results but most of the time downshifting is a bad thing. As soon as the RPM's pop up the MPG's fall again. Remember you got to fill the cylinders with fuel yet and you Revin' faster now at the same speed so MPG head down... But strange that SPEED is the number #1 killer...
  18. Here you go... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/apps/apps-replacement.html
  19. Check for error codes.P0121, P0122 or P0123 is a APPS failure...P0216, P0251, P1688, P1689 is a VP44 failure...
  20. You could try Caspers Electronics that is where I order my plugs for the high idle kit I built... http://www.casperselectronics.com/store2/
  21. What not just buy a Frantz filter... Built right here in Nampa, Idaho...
  22. Yeah another thing to think about that Dodge's crankcase gasses are vented out to the atomophere... So crankcase gasses shouldn't have any effect...
  23. Dorkweed should be able to tell ya... :thumbsup
  24. One of these days I get to look at a 6.7L Cummins to see what all the stuff is... As for EGR system most yank it off and plug it...
