99 low pressure fuel pump not working
Glowshift and DiPricols tend to be cheap for fuel pressure gauges... http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/ http://www.danininc.com/

Air Dog 100 using stock fuel cannister/Heater
Cool let us know how it all turns out... I love to see pics of your setup when it done...

VP 44 Installed Today
It could be hunting for idle mode and causing a governor problem...If you got a small rat tail file I would open the holes on the APPs sensor slightly to try and reach the set voltage... Just don't get carried away filing...

Tire Sizes
LOL I've got the 235/85 R16 on mine now and pulling 25.2 MPG on my last trip to Stanley, ID... Skinny tire do perform just fine for highway use and tend to be just a bit slick in the gravel but if you keep a level head you can do just fine...

source for New Injection pump
Try some of the vendors I've got listed... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/dealers/dealers.htm

ecu 1691
Sorry the only way to fix this problem is to replace the VP44... Sorry...

Stumped
Still I would check the fuel pump relay it supplies power to the VP44... There is a fuse in the PDC for the VP44 (Engine)...Here is a short video of that...

Electricity From Sun
That's part of the problem the price of the entire setup is huge... In my 4K Watt system I've got over $20,000 in inverter, batteries, solar controller, solar panels, pelton wheel, pelton wheel generator, gasoline generator, wiring, etc... I prodcue if I'm lucky 500-600w per hour on a sunny day and pelton wheel runing full tilt. I store enough power for 8-10 hours battery wise but with winter days coming I lose my pelton wheel because of the lines got to be drain out... Then when gets storm like Dorkweed it stay like that for days... So solar power isn't worth anything... So my summer power bill is about $30 a month but come winter time its about $150 to $180 ... That's with all wood heating! 8|

Stumped
Ok... P1689 check the fuel pump relay in the PDC, Check the fuses in the PDC as well... If that is all good the the VP44 injection pump has failed... P0122 is APPS sensor code (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor) that has failed go give Timbo a clal for a replacement... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/apps/apps-replacement.html

99 low pressure fuel pump not working
Little insight... The VP44 has the ability to run without a lift pump but does serious damage to itsself when the fuel pressure drops below 10 PSI... Lift pump test and pressure requirements... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/lift-pump-diag/lift-pump-diag.htm Then how to pull error codes... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/obd2-error-codes/obd2-error-codes.htm

Fuel Heater
Hmmm... I can't answer that one truely because I kept my stock filter and fuel heater for that purpose. But if you would want to add it back its simple just go to Vulcan Performance and get a Big Line hose for between the filter and VP44. Just a few bucks... ;)

4th ECM...PLEASE HELP
Got your phone message... ;) Dorkweed has a point the programmer could be a cause of this problem. ECM info and wiring diagrams http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/ecm/ecm.htm Voltage drop test http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/voltage-drop/voltage-drop.htm I would check over all wiring. Like I know the system ground for the ECM and sensor is right behind the starter and cannot be seen without removing the starter. I would check over the charging system to be sure it charging properly. This means having the alternator diode checked (Don't skip this!) What ever is going on is a electrical issue. So make sure the battey cables and main feed line, fuses, etc are all in good shape. Like I've found main fues for the PDC that have CRACKED but not blown so when the load would increase the fuse would break OPEN and the item would fail till the fuse cooled again. Bad or weak battery cables could make the alternator work excessively and might casue voltage spikes or unusual voltage levels. This also includes bad grounds. The only thing I can think off is having a Dealer DRB III tool scan the system for faults this goes a bit deeper than just a typical code reader... Check CCD network bus (voltage and terminatation), VP44 (commuication), etc...

More 2 cycle oil stories
I guess some guys over at CF.com did some trying of different 2 cycle oil and found that Valoline is better in performance qualities. Now as for long term data I don't have much on it...

2nd Gen power issues
Here is the factory fuel pressures... It might cause hard starting issues... But there is a thread over at CF.com about high fuel pressure. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5- ... ssure.html

Air Dog 100 using stock fuel cannister/Heater
Nope... Pureflow sent that to me... So it a factory bracket for the AirDog 150. Just request that style of bracket. The other bracket flat mounts the pump to the frame rail... As for the big line kit you can find them here...(For the other guy)... http://www.vulcanperformance.com/Draw-S ... /ffvpu.htm

Oil Pressure..
Oil pressure sender might just be stuck internally... I would verify this with a mech gauge and see what you pressure actually is... If different then you know you got to replace the oil pressure sender...

Air Dog 100 using stock fuel cannister/Heater
I kept my stock filter and fuel heater... Also I even left a filter in the stock filter housing... So far no issues running this... But I kept it because Idaho winter are rather cold... 8|

no crank
Think about it... Today ULSD fuel is 520 HFRR...

Expensive fuel and speed!
That's impressive for MPG 25.77! You got me beat... ` But I've been hauling heavy lately with 2-3 cords of firewood and trailer in tow... So I don't expct much for MPG'

Excessive Cranking to Start
What is your fuel pressure like? Also did you do the lift pump diagnostics? http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/lift-pump-diag/lift-pump-diag.htm Bump the starter to activate the transfer pump. Look for air bubbles. If no air bubbles are present, proceed to step 10. If bubbles are present, check the lines/connectors between the fuel tank and the transfer pump for conditions allowing air to be drawn into the fuel system. Correct the condition and repeat steps 6, 8, and 9 Most of the fuel system is a vacuum line so leak never leak outwards but they sure suck inwards without leaving a wet spot... Speed sensor is in the top of the rear diff... The P0500 error code explained here... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/abs/abs.htm (Bottom of the page!)
