Then you got a 2 micron filter protecting the VP44. More than enough fuel to feed a hungry VP44. As for high mountain there is a peak up here at 9,900 Feet but I'm sure USFS wouldn't like the idea of a Cummins laying out in the woods... Worst part is it would most likely survive the fall and come back to haunt you! Valid idea... I just talked to a guy on the phone with fuel pressure falling to 0 but on a 5 gallon fuel can it runs fine... Is the stock pick up all plugged up?

Lift pumps normally don't leak out the bottom. Unless the contector seals are shot... (Possible)

I think the part about white smoke being gone is the fact that most all winterized fuel have extremely high cetane to aid in starting but not really needed after the engine is running so with the 2 cycle oil its pulling the cetane level back down a bit and reducing the white smoke effect. I got simular results too...

Well I did like I would to the house batteries... I setup a battery charger at 10 Amp charge rate and left it till the amp fell low and the electrolyte was bubbling. (15.5 volt) Then switch to 2 Amp charge rate and left it for the night. (14.5 volt). Fired up this morning not a problem... Good voltage and charge rate. all day long the voltage hung at 14.3 Volts on the SG II and slightly over the 14 mark on the stock gauge. lets see how the batteries hold over night...:rolleyes2:

I would say its on the supply line to the lift pump has a air leak. Being its all suction line from the lift pump back to the tank it really easy to over look a air leak because it NEVER leaks outward... So to verify this pressurize the fuel tank with about 1-2 PSI most and look for wet spots in the fuel lines...

Suggestion... "Keep your boost below 5 PSI and Pyrometer below 600*F" this will net you the most MPG's. More boost mean less timing given at the VP44 because as boost pressure rises the auto-ignition point of the fuel lower making it early. Then also with more boost means more fuel being added so... More boost mean retarded timing and extra fuel being burnt. Pyrometer just verifies this... More pyrometer temp the more fuel burnt...

Well then I guess you pump is shot... Double check the vacuum pump shaft is turning after you pull the pump.
