  1. Here is a shocker... 8| I found a pour point depressant for diesel fuel produced by BG Products Inc. http://www.setonresourcecenter.com/msds ... d007de.htm So I guess the anti-gel in diesel fuel is nothing more than good ol' Fashion kerosene... :rolleyes Pour point depressants (PPD) defined... http://www.chevron.com/products/oronite ... point.html
  2. Please refer back too... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/valve-adj/valve-adj.htm Sorry about that... But it seem everytime I make update I tend to loose the link to the pics... :rolleyes
  3. [center:2njh87gq]LOL WEB DESIGNER /EDITORS WANTED! LOL[/center:2njh87gq] I can only do so much at one time. I've got a huge collection of information here on my hard drive and finding way to put it in the web site is the tough part...
  4. More weight and drag you got the higher the pyro temp and more boost you'll get. Looking at your signature... (Assuming) you got oversized wheels and tires, low gearing (4.30:1 Ratio), and since your truck sits higher from the larger wheels you got to cut more wind. (Wind drag). Now comparing to me... I've got stock rims and tires (16" rims and 265/75 R16 Cooper SST), my final gears are 3.55:1 ratio, stock height, and my total weight is ~6,800 pounds... My requirement to roll is 1 horsepower for every 1 MPH. So if I'm on flat ground at 65 MPG I'm going to need about 60-70 HP to keep the truck rolling. http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/better-mpgs/better-mpgs.htm
  5. Because my server records show that there is 20 referrals from http://www.socaps.com so I'm wondering whats being said to to link to my site... So I'm curious... :rolleyes LOL
  6. No... I was posting the same way as you did and desided to go check and be sure... Would you know it I had to erase my post and start over and post the truth... So don't feel bad I was doing the same thing and figured I better not assume... ASSUME - To make a Arse of You and Me... :rolleyes
  7. Link to the list... http://www.scangauge.com/support/Compat ... cles.shtml Sorry I guess it doesn't work on your truck... :rolleyes
  8. Mopar1973Man replied to a post in a topic in 3rd Generation Dodge
I grabbed the FSM book for 2003 trucks and I couldn't find anything about high idle features or any information on IAT values or testing...I figure I would give you a shot of information but sorry to say I'm tapped out for the time being...

  11. Well you could use my method of trying to manage the MPG'sTry keeping your pyro below 600*F and boost below 5 PSI and you net some good numbers...
  12. I love the comment...Keep pushing it off the track so REAL trucks can run! LOL
  13. Ok gang... More updates made to the site... I drew out some basic schematics to some basic projects that are fairly common. I posted them over on my static pages so they won't get lost... Backup Lights http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/2002%20Do ... lights.htm Edge Comp Smoke Switch http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/2002%20Do ... e_comp.htm Fog/Driving lights http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/2002%20Do ... _lamps.htm High Idle Fooler http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/2002%20Do ... h-idle.htm Enjoy the information gang! :thumbsup

  16. Well gang I just when through the site and pulled the pics from the post and put links to the article pages that contain the pics and information. What is happening is I'm linking the forum to the web pages. But as I update the web pages and change filenames or orther information around the pics where being dropped... So If anyone find another post with missing pics drop a post in this thread and I'll get the link put to the actual page!Sorry for the mess... :rolleyes
  17. Ahh... Well a little update to the winterizing thread... So far it seem this winter is my worse winter for MPG numbers... I'm still using 2 cycle oil as I've been in the pass winter... But I'm barely making 16 MPG... This is about a 3 MPG loss... Anyone else seeing a loss in MPG this winter??? My fuel logs and graphs are here... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/2002%20Do ... %20CTD.htm
  18. Duluth Diesel has reduced to 1/2 oz to a gallon and said to be fine. AMSOil claims that 1/2 the amount is needed compared to the Dino brands...So yes you can... :thumbsup

  21. As a matter of fact we are installing battery charger on the fire trucks here... But I've though about adding one to my CTD as well. It would be a awesome way of extending the life of the batteries even more!
  22. Well Russ... There is all kinds of materials you can use. Plastics, wood, metal, aluminum... Just make a set of 4 inserts to cover the grill and it will help in warming up the engine faster! Winter front BOMB... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/general/winter-fronts/winter-front.htm So far this is my second year with them and no problem... Much better than cardboard... :thumbsup But yo let you know I'm only seeing a +10*F (+50*F total) increase in my IAT sensor with the winter fronts in... I normally are about +40*F over outside temp for IAT sensor with the winter front removed... So a +10*F is not going to hurt me...
  23. Well MoparsMaiden and myself tried for a bit of bird hunting but the forest was very quiet. No foot prints in the snow other than a small ground squirrel. Heard a few forest finches but thats about it. MoparMaiden happen to spot one deer as it was hauling up the mountain face.Still very fun... :thumbsup
