  1. Personally myself I would put that beautiful weapon away in a gun safe. Then go buy a good ol' farm rifle or something with a few miles on it. That way if you lose the battle the victor doesn't walk away with your beautiful weapon. Something like that above I would make sure my family could pass along. Like my ol' Fire Star 9mm it so cheap of a pistol I don't think anyone would want to even steal the darn thing.
  2. Might want to try the math out and see if it helps or not.
  3. Most likely over-inflated. Even my truck using the calculated formula I get roughly 57 PSI on the front axle and about 40 PSI on the rear axle. Again you can't use these numbers because of weight differences and tire differences as well. http://articles.mopar1973man.com/general-cummins/35-exterior/354-tire-inflation-formula
  4. Problem I have is most all politicians are crooks. They can all sell you a big bag of BS and even provide the bag for you take it home. They all sound great till they get into office then turn there back on the American public and do what makes them feel good. Look at Obama, Clinton, Bush, etc. Heck I keep seeing how Obama needs to take a few million dollar vacations because his job is rough. Heck he's not even doing his job. Now if we had a independent that could stand on his own two feet and not bow down to the New World Order group I would take notice.
  5. So what was the AC ripple voltage during the test? I would like to know too. ECM doesn't create lock and unlock issues. PCM is in control of that. Still in all I would test drive the truck with the alternator unhooked and see what you get. Most likely you'll find your lock and unlock issues gone. Which now points back to failed alternator that just tested good on a test bench. Which I just said above that my alternator was physically damaged and had high AC noise issues and it PASSED. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/topic/10827-help-bad-alternator-or-apps/?do=findComment&comment=124028
  6. As long as the pressure isn't below 10 PSI for any length of time I don't think you'll have much problems. Between 14-20 PSI you should see optimal return flow. This insures good cooling and lubing of the pump. So if it does drop just a pound or two not a huge issue.
  7. Might be but I just don't have enough loose clothing to hide than thing. Not comfortably. I'm not going to wear big sweater and large jackets all the time. I'm usually in jeans and tee-shirt. So it really hard to conceal carry without imprinting or making it uncomfortable.
  8. Kind like my 9mm just a bit too big for conceal carry comfort.
  9. I'm going to be a bit more strict about my open carry. I'm going to be making sure I wear it at all time when I leave home. I might have to start using my shoulder holster a bit more too.
  10. Another post MoparMom want me to post up for you all... http://www.newswithviews.com/Daubenmire/dave447.htm
  11. Good article... http://allnewspipeline.com/Police_Chief_Revolution_Wolf_On_Its_Way.php
  12. I happen to be wondering the web a bit and stumbled across Timbo's page and he's added new videos on calibration and adjustment of the Timbo's APPS sensor. http://www.dodgecumminsapps.com/Calibration_video.html
  13. Yes you can just switch over to MPG mode. Actually it needs to drop below 140*F to restart the last set mode.
  14. I carry chains in my trucks because of where I live. Have I used them? Not really. It nice to know you have a fall back plan. Being there is a lack of cell service who are you going to call? I've got to be responsible for me and the vehicle.
  15. Now I see it thanks Bill!
  16. Can someone re-post that... I don't see anything. I've got 3 computers that show nothing in Bill's post.
  17. What ever you do for replacement have the new one tested. I've seen both Bosch and ND alternators brand new in the box FAIL without ever making it to the vehicle.
  18. I would just base your travel on the weather. If the weather gets bad I would just hole up for the night or period of time till the storm passes. I would gear up the truck with everything you might need for just stopping along the highway. As for chains the only time I use chains is if I'm going somewhere I really shouldn't. Most of the Idaho winters here I've travelled mostly in 2WD and towed smaller trailers snowmobile or a utility with a pair of ATV's. So like if I was to travel a unmaintained road say like up to Rex Bakers place which is 6 miles up a forestry road yeah I would be chaining up. Travelling down a typically maintained highway I would be in 2WD unless it was snow covered then most likely 4WD. Now towing that beast behind you that going to be a different story.
  19. I've got shipping confirmation for December 14th I can continue this fun project of learning ABS.
  20. Change Minnesota to Idaho... I don't wear a jacket till the temperature is in the 20's or lower.
  21. Be aware... My alternator test GOOD. Now the crazy part the rear bearing was good but the rear housing was damaged allowing the alternator shaft to bounce. This in turn ate the brushes quick on one. Then it turn created a weak connection on the slip rings. Still pass the test bench though. Another way is to use a AC voltmeter that can measure small voltage like 0.01 to 0.1 AC Volts. Basically start the truck and with all your loads you can turn on. Now measure at the BATT post of the alternator red lead and your black lead just touch to either the alternator case or the passenger side NEG post. Best to test on the alternator case though. 0.01 to 0.03 is about normal. 0.05 is marginal. Might get away without problems or might be random. 0.1 AC volts and greater is a fail.
  22. Nice way of looking at it. Green good, Red Bad. Most of us aim for 14-20 PSI.
  23. Lock and unlock is the alternator. I would pull the alternator have have it tested for AC noise. The P0122 is just a lo volt code for the APPS sensor. Typically this would make for a dead pedal more so than cycling the torque converter.
