  1. I really dont want to be the knob of this web site.This site helps people keep there diesels running.It also educates.But this serves no purpose ! I wish the directions for all smoke switches included the wire that pluges into the sphincter of the driver.What are you going to do with this? It is people like you who are going to end this sport.Do you want every town in the usa to hate diesels?Hope you never smoke out my grandma just to be cool in front of your little friends.And mopar1973man Why are you of all people helping?   2. Thanks will do.I will let you know.It has been a good truck for her.My old 94 v10 had 285k when i sold it ,factory tranny.I like working on her truck because it fits in the garage.
  3. I clear mine all the time.I have replaced both sensors it is no big deal.Do you have any plans for the truck? Is it a reg cab?Them are cool they look like a pup.I think a 2wd reg cab dually would make a neat drag truck.
  4. A friend of mine has a 360 1/2 ton 2wd.She says it is out of od and back in.It has almost 300k factory tranny.I didnt get it yet to check it out or get codes.Any ideas? If the tranny is all played out i can pull it.I am thinking the od solenoid in the tranny is shot.What do you guys think? I know it is a shot in the dark because i dont have it yet.....but what's your guess.

Thats what i figured also.The guy that helped me said the light would go out by the end of his shop's driveway.(600ft) I was sick of looking at the light.Thats one thing about a smarty it cant read the abs system or clear them.It is out and still out.Maybe my truck is stubborn like the driver? :banghead:
  6. I replaced vss on the front end.It took almost 100 miles to reset it self.But i do that in a day so no biggie.Yes the dealer will tell you whats going on,if you dont have the tools.Mine did it for free.But i spend alot over the years with them.

  8. Would something like this work if i have a edge drag and a smarty? With the 2 computers, my truck is being lied to more than 5 politicians in on a election year .
  9. The only thing that comes to mind is fuel filter and the wire tap wire.And cam sensor or cam sensor wire.With replace the vp you were close to the wires maybe the connector isnt on all the way.

And as far as what to call black people.I say black guy.And i say it in front of black people.Havent got punched yet.I had a black boss when i was younger.Cool dude.That 67 year old told the young man his age yet he still tryed to punch him, real stupid.I dont care how much smack i here from a geezer's mouth hitting him shows no class.

  13. On the lock up switch did you put a 1/2 watt 33-ohm resistor on the negitive side of the switch?Not doing this sometimes freaks things out.
  14. Had to edit this after thinking about it.The nut should hold the gear to spin it.I still would look inside to see the gear and keyway

Hushpower is the way to go, dyno proven muffler.Love mine.Also use band clamps.You can reuse them.Mine have been on and off many times.I may have some 4 inch polished 304 stainless laying around i will have to look if anyone need some.Because i have a 4 in down pipe going into 5 inch all the way back into 7 inch stacks.It is extra for me.I dont need it unless i put it on my riding lawnmower.I am a little :cookoo:that way.

  18. I would bump the starter and check the lines at the ip.If you have fuel at the ip,and good pressure Rule the lift pump out.Check the Keyway.
  19. Hey, Lone Wate i just got back from farm&fleet.The cheapest oil they sell in 15/40 is valvoline.The f&f brand is 3 $ more.The delvac is also 3 $ more. It doesent seem to be on sale.What are the price at sams ?

If you plan to race and you dont have a super built tranny you will kill the tranny.:nono:You can also hurt the flexplate.:banghead:It will pound into gear.If it is locked after 1st and you hit the other gears it will be like hiroshima and nagasaki in your tranny. If you turned it on after 4 th gear you may be fine.Because thats what the factory does.You could turn it on sooner.Some will talk mpg with a lock up.You have to shut it off if you stop or it will kill the engine.I am not clear on why you want to do this.Hope this helps a little.

  23. If you can read the premiun blue lable and the other and compare the two.They may have the same specifications.Then you could feel good about it.
