  1. Same thing happens with my iPhone. Good work though it'll be really handy.
  2. So is that electrical taped coolant hose preventing a hole or sealing up a hole? I've done both with limited success.
  3. This is one of the reasons I like to keep 3 or 4 drivers in my fleet. If something breaks or you have to do some maintenance no big deal just work on it at your leisure. At least that's how I justify the used car lot at my house.
  4. The side affect of sandy mangina syndrome.
  5. I I had to do the same thing on mine. I also had to trim the petcock some and redesign the feet that sit in the lower radiator support. The price you pay for buying cheap parts I guess.
  6. Well I'm not real impressed with the parts store radiator I put in, believe it was a spectra. None of the mounting tabs or holes were even close to lining up and the drain petcock is wedged tight against the intercooler outlet. It does seem to be cooling the truck just fine and it was cheap so can't I can't complain about that. I also wonder about stuff I've bought online that says its an OE part and even comes in fancy mopar packaging but it's half the price of the dealer.
  7. I ran pretty much that exact set up for a few years and never had a problem. I don't know if your adding a draw straw to the tank but I would highly recommend one. The stock sending unit lines and screen are a big restriction.
  8. My guess is the prices will remain very low for at least the rest of the year. The steel industry in this country is virtually dead right now due to foreign countries (but mostly China) illegally dumping cheap, low quality government subsidized steel here and our government turning a blind eye to it until it was to late. There has been some effort lately to slow down the steel dumping but to little to late if you ask me. Thousands of iron ore miners are laid off in Minnesota (myself included) and steel mills across the US are shut down. I could go on and on about this but I'll quit de-railing this thread and boring you all with my ranting. Buy American folks!
  9. A shop I used to work for had a waste oil heater and that thing was constant maintenance. It had its own screen and filter system but it didn't seem to be adequate. Everything that goes in one should probably at least be run through a fine screen. Shortly after I left apparently the moron shop owner dumped a bunch of gas in it to get it going. Long story but he was trying to do something on it with a torch and blew the heater and himself up. He survived just a little uglier now. Just has a goat and a donkey follow him around for a little radiant heat
  10. Another option is to sell the horses. Then you'll have so much more time and money for camping. If you ever miss them just go outside in the middle of a hot summer day. Grab a roll of barbed wire, drop it on your toe and maybe drag your forearms over it until you're a bloody mess. Just for good measure light a $100 bill on fire. Then you'll be reminded of what it was like to own a 1,000lb toddler. At least this is most of my horse ownership experience.
  11. They are I'm not having much luck on center caps though.
  12. How bout this. Dark and shadowy but the best I have.
  13. I've been using a different type of rust proofing for years on most of my cars that's very easy and works quite well. I just simply don't fix most of the leaks that way you get a fresh layer of undercoating every time you drive it. But seriously I've replaced all the steering in my truck and the two best driveability improvements I've made are a new set of shocks to keep you from bouncing all over the place through corners and maxing out the caster. If the caster adjusters have never been touched there's a good chance it's seized up, so you might be better off working the adjuster bolts out and antisiezing everything. This is also a good time to inspect the control arm bushings.
  14. Stock, yes there's no relay but I added one with the Fass pump.
  15. I'd say for $160 bucks go for it especially for how easy the install is. The only thing that concerns me is that inexpensive and quality don't usually go together so I'd save the original backing plates and magnets just in case. I typically replace the magnets if I'm in there doing brakes. Usually the wires get brittle and break before the magnet wears out.
  16. Yep the ecm triggers a relay. Must be a programming difference unless my truck is the only one that does this?
  17. If I bump the starter I can shut the ignition off and take the key out but the pump will still run for 20ish sec.
  18. Looks like a nice unit. I bet you'll make all kinds of new "friends" now that you have a dump trailer...
  19. Let's start with the basics and go from there. Have you checked the fluid level?
  20. I don't think the DDRP is even rated to move that much fuel. I was just saying it has the potential to be an adequate pump on a mostly stock engine. I moved on after the second one burned up though.
  21. That's correct no glow plugs just a grid heater on the air intake.
  22. I was running a DDRP for a few years mounted on the frame. After I installed a draw straw in the tank and 3/8" fuel line fuel pressure was about 16 cruising and 12psi at wot.
  23. bluetopsteeringgears.com Good honest people here.
  24. It's kind of hard to tell from the video but it sounds like a bad bearing on one of your accessory pulleys. I would pull the serpentine belt off and try running it again.
