Improve Safety?: Front End/Steering/Lighting
Don't forget power steering pump. You can rebuild the steering gear box and still have slop in the wheel if your pump is leaking or not producing enough pressure. From the looks of it you need new sway bar end links and sway bar bushings too. New shocks wouldn't hurt either

50' or maybe 100' truck contest. Mine is all rock chipped too, but it looks great after a waxing from a distance.

New Shop Building for 2016?
I saw my old boss the other week and his 15 year old building, and it's still standing. The steel and fabric took all that snow and ice last year in Massachusetts and it's just fine. There is some mold/mildew on the inside of the fabric and it has a couple leaks but that's it after 15 years. I will be using something similar to this next year, except a footing/small foundation, and eventually a concrete pad.

Gov't back at it giving away everything...
Someone famous said it, and I learned it in my politics class in college, "all politics is local". We have to start at the local level and work our way up. I stood in line New Years Eve for Chinese food and ending up talking to the guys in front of me, this was in Massachusetts, liberal central. And they were ashamed Trump had it this far and that Martin O'Malley looked promising. One guy went on to say obama has done great things for this country like keeping jobs in the US and bailing out General Motors....I had to bite my tongue. Until a vast majority of the American people pull their heads out their asses and take the time to figure what is really going on in this country, we're sunk. obama just had a commercial about gun control and he's probably going to take executive action soon to restrict us even more. People taking handouts are happy to continue taking handouts, and "wealthy" people who don't need to worry about money are going to keep pushing their lovely ideals and laws for us stupid commoners, while the middle and working class continues to shrink. Not to be even more of downer but our votes and voices are falling on def ears, both in Washington and locally. I hope this election will turn the tide in the right direction, but I'm worried. My rant is over, listening to those liberal minded guys in the Chinese food line is still bugging me, and reminded me again how backwards the Northeast is.

New Shop Building for 2016?
Heck, I was just looking into clearspan. Same concept but a 12oz fabric roof instead of metal. My old boss who owns a landscaping business has a bunch of those buildings to store all the mowers and trucks. I have to stop by and see how it's holding up after 10+ years. At roughly $35/sq ft, I can't afford the garage I want, so I'm looking into these buildings. Prep and pour your own footings and foundation. Erect the structure, then pay someone down the road to do the slab.

Ball joints
Ditto, I would like to support my local NAPA but they are double the price. I only use them for small projects or something I need right now. I just priced up shocks and rotors and pads for my cousin's F-350 and NAPA was almost double for the exact same parts

How much would all of this have cost?
Up in New England, where Mechanics get $80-$110/hr, I'm guessing $1500-$2000. I think they charged $400 just to drop my transmission Dealership vs local shop would charge more

Ball joints
Ever had front end damage? My 03' 2500 had front left impact. I replaced all 4 ball joints with moog when I bought the truck. 40,000 miles later, the left had 1/8" of play and the right was tight.

Heater Core Servicing
Heater core is only $135. Might as well replace it, I believe they corrode from the inside out, so best to just replace it.

Heater Core Servicing
Mike, could you make a full list of things to replace while the dash is apart? Best to do it once and be done with it. Come spring time, I'm going to install my new LMC dash and replace the AC evaporator and heater core. Add blower motor to that and blow motor resistor and...and something dripley mentioned in another thread? -AC evap -Heater core -Blower motor and resistor

Suspension upgrades.
I would consider a different sway bar end link. I took all my maxx links off and the truck rides smoother over bumps. They are too stiff, bushing on the sway bar, which is good, and a bushing and tapered end on the axle with no movement/flex. I went back to the oem design with a ball joint style on the axle end and I am happier with the ride. My 2 cents

Random ABS light and weird braking performance
On my 03 hemi, I had too much grease in the bearing and it made the ABS pulse on and off, but my light would stay off. I took a flat head and cleaned the grease of each tooth and it was fine after that. I went through 2 sets of front sensors on the cummins with no avail. I had some play in my bearings too so I replaced the unit bearings, which came with the sensors and that didn't help my light issue either. Checked all the wiring, it was good. Then had mopar install a new ABS module and reflash and it's been good since.

Finally started working out again!
Eat breakfast every morning to jump start your metabolism and don't eat before bed/don't go to bed full. I'm 5'10" and I weighed 195 lbs 2 years ago when I took this job. Lifting 4-5 days a week and running a coupe days a week. Then I was averaging 1,000 miles a week for work, eating fast food and hardly lifting at all. I weighed 245 a couple months ago. Now, I'm traveling less, eating less fast food and hitting the weights a couple days a week, playing basketball again and I dropped down to 230 in about 2 months. Eating pretty clean, going to bed hungry and lifting weights will do amazing things for body fat/stomach area, and your head. I'm hoping to get back in shape before my son is born in April too!

wanting to move.
The Northeast is expensive. The economy is rough except for the Boston area. I lived in MA, CT, then out to Ohio and now back to MA. I've been at a jobsite all week in Indiana and regret moving back to the East Coast. New Hampshire and Maine have a lot of great land for hunting and being in the sticks, but jobs are lacking and wages aren't great. Massachusetts is great for a job and income, but that's about it. Don't even consider CT.

Saying things no one wants to hear
One thing is for sure, muslims have been killing each other for thousands of years and continue to do so today. They kill each other for simple fact of believing something different, that ain't right. I've known a couple muslims kids in high school and college, and they were honorable and peaceful. But, they all hated Jews and were brought up that way. I haven't heard any good muslims condemning the bad ones. Not acting or not speaking up is acting. obama doesn't want to defeat isis anyways so we don't know if trying to cut them off financially would work. Brute force seems to be the only option because they won't stop for anything else.

Are you living in the area of isis' hit list?
Lock and load. I will be stocking up on ammo with my Christmas bonus this year! And maybe another side arm
