  1. Then yes, you want a heavy duty flexplate. If you keep the stock one, it will be the weak point and shatter before anything else breaks, but that could be a good thing too. Like you said, best to do it in one fell swoop. Some guys run laminated, some say no to billet because it doesn't flex and transfers too much load to the input shaft. But, if you're running a triple and billet input, no reason not to get a beefy flexplate. Don't forget rear main seal while the tranny is out. I got my BD on sale from XDP for under $350, that was my reason for BD, plus I think they have a good track record for breaking. In theory, it shouldn't break for normal driving and towing. I believe boosted launches are the main culprit for breaks and shifting a locked torque converter.
  2. Cascade transmission. Adjust bands, new filter and fluid
  3. BD, no issues so far. Are you doing a triple disc and a billet input?
  4. Carwell t40. Use on everything on the underside and wheel wells, rockers, inside doors. Carwell, get 1 gallon jugs and put in a spray bottle and all purpose sprayer. Expect to get dirty but I'd rather deal with oily dirt than rust.
  5. My lower spicer joint keeps loosening up. I will drill a hole in it next weekend and use a pin.
  6. I just put a 14cm housing on and it's just fine. I only smoke if I mash the throttle at low rpms. Around town I run the comp on level 2 and highway I run level 4 or 5. Sometimes towing slow I turn the comp off and temps stay in check. My 100s burn cleaner than my old 60s. Like dave110 said, a stock automatic won't like the added power.
  7. I'm running 100s on a modified hx35 and it runs great. 100s on an hy35, that is a no go. All about right foot and shifting when towing

  9. OK, so I don't want to spend $400 on a mechman and I have a Bosch currently in my truck. Do I have to get a reman bosch or can I use a nippendenso? Are they wired different?
  10. Ya, I always keep a knife on my belt and a gun in my truck

  12. Congratulations! I will be joining you next month in the marriage boat...with an 8 week pregnant fiance
  13. If you get VPMax, you might have to do some trimming. The clamps and boots are quality. The only thing I don't like is the boot to the intake horn isn't very flexible. It's a straight design without the bulge in the middle.
  14. Leaves are dropping on the east coast, still 80 and humid in Ohio.
  15. Rebuild kit. Genos garage.
  16. Uh oh, I think those were the symptoms of my failing ABS module. I had those symptoms with those sensors I gave you and the new ones I got with both unit bearings. Do you know anyone with a fancy snap-on reader? If the abs module cycles with the reader on it, it's the module. Your old sensors never did this?
  17. I think all models have dana 60 fronts and automatic 2500s have dana 70 rears. Manuals and 3500s have dana 80 rears.
  18. In debate. I need to test my alt. again to see if it's causing my locking issues again.
  19. Applied performance, check out XDPs website. Thoroughbred diesel has them too. Billet 59mm wheel and 65mm turbine.
  20. HY35 is too small for any aftermarket injector. My truck didn't like 60hp in the mid and top end. Great for spool but too small for flow at cruising speeds and hard accelerations.
  21. You're going to love your truck with those additions! I would consider doing them in stages. Install the injectors, drive around for a couple hundred miles and make sure everything is good. See how you like them and how your truck reacts. Then install the comp and stealth plate and compare. My 2 cents
  22. Check for trouble codes, see if all your solenoids and sensors in the trans are correct.
  23. Low stall? My low stall does that when the fluid is cold. As soon as it's warmed up no issues. Idle it in neutral for 30 seconds then try a gear. Triple or single?
