  1. Welcome! i'm sure you'll learn a lot here. i'd start with agood diet of 2 stroke oil from the closest wallyworld. do a search about it. Im from Northern AZ but had a ranch in Cortez Co.
  2. I've melted down 100's of lb of lead for shooting, it'll score the barrels. i use ti in my 54cal. muzzle loader and 45's 38's and 9mm. it's not very clean either. make sure to get it hot enough to clean the impurities from it. as i'm sure you do. look at metallurgy hardness of normal lead from say a store bought ammo. then do the same for your wheel weights and you'll see how bad it is. i know i mix mine in one lb ingots 40 wheel wight / 60 soft lead. but to each their own.
  3. Only if mixed with softer lead, as wheel weights are to hard of lead.
  4. Thank you ISX for all the time you have put into this. it's cool.
  5. how would one clean the heater core the best? with out removing it. does the radiator flush really work., CLR? just maybe one of those preventive maintenance things.
  6. i remember with the older Jeep TJ's and YJ's that had a similar setup we used to take it out and slip a long shaft in it's place. or there is a cable actuator that way it's never an issue again. food for thought.
  7. mine is not accurate, my number is but location is not.
  8. i still have a 93 4x4 with 5 speed and 22 RE, 31.10.50 tires. it get about 20-24 MPG if driven nicely, don't get in hurry though. here in Flag at 7000 fet it as 0 horse power!!!! lol. but 300K and still ticken i've only put front brake pads, rear shoes, tires, oil, i've NEVER changed the diffs or trans or T-box lol but it's not showing any sign of stoping. no howling no wining, just smooth operation. i did develop an oil leak this summer, gotta clean it up. i'm thinking oil pump? or front main seal. they eat timing covers and guides when you don't use toyota oil filters. heck i've neve even adjusted the valves!!! and it runs like a TOP!if i could find another toyota pickup with the 4 banger diesel again i'de buy it tomorrow. had one in high school. got 50 MPG!!
  9. have to disagree on that one, unless you know something these http://www.cumminsdieselspecs.com/24v.html people don't. please enlighten me.
  10. AWESOME thank you.I cant seem to find any place on ine that'll tell me either. maybe i'm looking in the wrong places.
  11. So i'm not sure if this is the right section for this but here goes.My 02 2500 needs a new fender and door due to rust, what years will enter change? i have sourced two fenders, one from a 97 Ram 2500, and 98 1500 in red. doors as well, both were extra cab, but no third door. will these parts fit on my 02 extracab with operable back doors? Thank you all for the help!!!
  12. Today, we celebrate the blessings of a people dedicated to liberty. Our forefathers fled religious prosecution to pursue the freedom of conscience in the New World, a bedrock principle we must continue to protect. As the pilgrims in their November 1620 Mayflower Compact, their very first governing framework, wrote: “[We] solemnly and mutually, in the Presence of God and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and Preservation.” A year later they thanked God for his providence, their first harvest, and a new land of opportunity. It was the nation’s very first Thanksgiving. Despite the many trials they faced, they expressed gratitude for the opportunity to live freely. President Calvin Coolidge reminded us nearly a century ago: “We have been a most favored people. We ought to be a most generous people. We have been a most blessed people. We ought to be a most thankful people.”I hope every one has a great day today, please remember to take a moment or 5 and remember what you have to be thankful for. For instance, I'm thankful my wife doesn't know how much I spend on my truck, I'm thankful she loves me.I'm thankful my kids are good, happy, and healthy kids,I'm thankful Obama will be out of office soon!!!
  13. yes call it in as warranty.I used elastomeric roof coating on mine and not a problem sense. i used a gutter caulk on the pips/vents and what not. it stay pliable and flexible and adheres great to just about everything. Let us know how it goes.
  14. i know all to well back and or joint pain. I was on a 32" ladder and had it collapse under me. ( no i'm not fat) i fell on my head and crushed a 1 gal can of lacquer. so, now i have a messed up C3-C4, along with lower compressed disk. i used chiropractors and pain killers for years untill one great person told me about [h=1]Glucosamine / Chondroitin[/h] OMG It's awesome. i have NO more joint and back problems for the better part of 3 years now. i used to tweek my back or through it out 4-5 times a year. not sense i've been taking this.however your results may very. just sayin worked for me and i'm only in my late 30's. I can now ride Motocross races and not be sore for a week afterwards. ( R.I.P Kurt) no more arm pump. no more tennis elbow. love that stuff.
  15. thank you all for the input.
  16. Come spend the night here in Flagstaff Az get a nice layer of frost on your windshield and show me how you plan on starting it and driving it after oil pressure has risen. i have to let my truck warm up to defrost the windshield. i know these are fleet engines start and go. but i have other reason for wanting to aid in heating things up faster. Thanks for the input though.
  17. I know that EGR's are bad for engines. i'm just trying to find a way to get my truck to warm up faster. My dad's 00 Powerstroke warms up in 5-10 min. ideling, mine takes like 10+ miles. and sometimes still won't warm up. Yes i've checked the t-stat. good clean antifreez. So what i'm thinking is flip a switch to run the grid heaters for say 2-5 min. to aid in heating things up...
  18. Maybe someone can explain why heating the air up to 130 won't warm the engine up faster? wouldnt it be kinda like a EGR? hoter air intake? I do want the IAT/ECT fooler. plan on buying one when made available. or build my own maybe. but i'm talking about heating up the engine faster. i need an explanation as to why running them longer wouldnt help warm it up faster....
  19. Is there a way to make the grid heaters stay on to heat up the engine faster? i know the computer cycles them, but i would like to be able to control them myself. when they kick on my iAT is roughly 135. but they soon kick off. so thoughts...??? thanks.
  20. Well Congratz!!!! My wife took me to Maine from Arizona on our honeymoon. we went to BelFast, Bar Harbor, Bangor, the original FortKnox. and drove by Steven Kings house. i recomend Acadia National Park. Camden is nice too. The hotel we stayed in had a picture of the San Fransisco Peaks here in Flagstaff AZ, where we lived. drove all the way across the country and our room has a pic of home.. hahaha...
  21. i want one. the turn dial would be nice. i'm more or less after the high idle then anything else. my dads 00 powerstroke warms it's self up in under 5 min. mine was still under 100 coolant temp being started at same time.
  22. I had a jeep do this to me, was a bad dash circuit board.
  23. sounds like s short to me. has to be. may be intermittent, but still a short or loose connection. what a bummer.!!!!
  24. i do understand the store shelves are empty. does anyone else keep ammo on hand? or just go buy it as needed.? i have well. enough 22LR for the rest of my life and into my kids being adults. same for my other calibers. my only shortage is powder for some of them. and 30-30. i hate that round and only have a few hundred rounds of that... i no longer shoot for fun. like some ones posted. it's down to defense or food for me. my keep practiced in my pistol rounds but have lots to reload also. Yes the vulnerability of this country will become apparent when the ammo's gone. time will prove us right. sadly....
