Turbo rebuild
Have you cleaned it before? If not, starting fluid works pretty good. Any oil out the compressed side? I think it's a 57 inducer, but I don't remember the exducer size. Some say you have to have it rebalanced, but I don't believe it. Each part is individually balanced, so you should be fine without balancing.

Travel trailer newbie!
With the 25ft tandem dual gooseneck we have the tires stay at max pressure full time. It's got a 20 or 25K max load, but it usually doesn't have over 10K on the deck. I've yet to see the tires wear funny or try to lock up. Just turn the brake controller down when there's no weight on it... We've had a couple blow up but that's more due to age than anything else.

Could really use some help - Engine knock
Yes it usually is. I picked mine up on ebay. Just make sure the box in the picture shows a cummins box with the seal!

Could really use some help - Engine knock
Define worth it.... If you're up in the high rpms with high HP I would say yes. Otherwise I would say pick up a stock one. They are cheaper and still get the job done.

On to the next problem, a leaking head gasket.
Might have to look into new valves, guides, and seals with that many miles.

Could really use some help - Engine knock
If you don't know whether the timing case is tapered or not go ahead and bolt a tab over it, although most 01's were tapered. PS pump seal?? Throwout & pilot are a great idea. Trans fluid if it's time. Crossover tubes & O rings depending on condition. Banjo washers for the back of the head and possibly the rubber connections at the hard line (T near the back of the engine.) Can't think of anything else at the moment.

Mystery oil leak after vp change
That is possible. I can't confirm for sure, but I have read that the vacuum pump vents into the crankcase.

Teardown and Rebuild
Why would you go through the pain of changing out exhaust components regularly.... Sounds like a terrible idea

Steering upgrade
Are they genuine Mopar or are they "aftermarket"?

Steering upgrade
I'm sure they do. I just don't want to see the price tag on it....

Steering upgrade
I haven't been able to watch it. I will when I get home. I know my buddy did it on his 01 so it is possible....

Steering upgrade
Yes it will fit. May need to trim the pitman arm stud to prevent it from hitting down lower on the link between the two knuckles. May need to trim the joints at the knuckles to prevent the stud from hitting the stock rims. Neither are a big deal though. Put it on, trim it, and roll on.

Steering upgrade
No... I didn't take a picture of my buddies when it was sitting stock height. Take the pictures the guys have posted in here and drop it down two inches. Cutting it off may stop the problem completely, but I'm not sure of that.

Steering upgrade
You want to have some sort of adjustment though... You don't want it maxed out all the time. Airbags really are nothing to worry about as long as the system is discharged.

Steering upgrade
No grinding new parts! Take the airbag out (2 or 4 bolts / screws in the back) make sure the batteries have been unhooked and key on for a while, from there you should be able to see the rest, but I don't remember.

Teardown and Rebuild
I changed from a 5" down pipe to a 4" and saw no difference. Even pushing some higher power I don't see a problem with 4".

Steering upgrade
Noooooo haha I'm just saying do not run a drop pitman arm, even if you do level it!! Now for those of you saying you're out of adjustment, I've seen a couple people have this issue. Best way to fix it!? Pop the steering wheel off and re-clock it. No need to mess with grinding new components.

Transfer case shifting ....
I bet the syncro in the Tcase it dying, or it's low on fluid.

Steering upgrade
Don't run a drop pitman arm with only a 2" level. 1: You'll likely start hitting the bar between the two knuckles. 2: Without a drop track bar to go with it you'll have horrible bump steer!

Teardown and Rebuild
PM sent For me it's awesome. Quiet in the cab, no drone, and has the deep Cummins note. I think the only reason it's this way is because of the two turbos. If it's a straight pipe you're going to at least want a resonator, if not more. They can be horrible to drive at highway speeds and you can count out towing on some trucks.

Tow mirror options
2nd / 3rd or 4th gen mirrors from 1AAuto would suit you well. My dad and I both have a set and they've been awesome for the last 3.5 years!

Teardown and Rebuild
There is one, but I have no idea where to set it. I know it's cranked way up to clean the farm equipment, so I don't know where to set it. Soap works really well to get things clean too, and afaik it's not made to suck in any soap.
