  1. That it will!!!! However, I refuse to use the new stupid term "Glamping" OMG ... I was telling a friend about the rig and some lady overheard the conversation and gets overly excited and says..." OH ARE YOU GOING GLAMPING????" Um... No lady, I go Camping. I most likely won't even have a tv... I prefer music, so I will in the future upgrade the sound system..
  2. Damn.. I rotated them before uploading... grrr
  3. Well I started tearing into the repairs needed for the new rig before it is Camp/Road Ready... I have my work cut out for me but, tis ok and will be well worth the effort I will need to add a place for some deep cycle batteries as this rig is not fully equipped.. I tore the cabinets and paneling out today... I will also be giving the walls a fresh coat of paint... Stay tuned!!!
  4. And yet another Pretty pic
  5. Well, Mine is!!!!! Ok, ruggedly handsome as well.... But I'm a girl and my truck is PURTTY!!!!!
  6. I Actually need to wax it... I haven't even bathed it in 3+ weeks But Thank you!!. Yes, here in Sunny Florida you need the Sun Blockers!!!
  7. Well I just bought my 97 in October 2 weeks before my annual fall trip to the mountains, and on anything that I don't know the maintenance on I am going to just do it to be sure... I did and oil/filter change (Amsoil), had the transmission serviced( fluid/filter/adjust the bands) by a really good shop in Brooksville (Brooksville Transmission) , Repacked the bearings, installed new belt and tensioner, fuel filter, air filter, and a new Fluidampr (that part alone is over 400.00)... I have also replaced the FSS and relay and the rear speed sensor.
  8. Welcome from Florida!!
  9. My first thoughts were o2 sensor and maybe the exhaust gasket ... Also when was the last time the plugs were changed??
  10. I had it on my phone, but it made the battery drain too fast So I removed it
  11. That would be me
  12. Tried using a rubber mallet, tried heating with a torch, took off the pan and put a pry bar behind the cover and couldn't even crack it enough to see any daylight, tried a hammer and chisel etc .... spent 3 days trying to coax it, plead with it and beg it off before having to resort to smashing it and using a saws all... Trust me it was an absolute last resort... I could have pulled the motor and installed another one in less time then it took to try and get that %$#@$ Cover off :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
  13. At least we don't have those issues here in Florida
  14. Called my friend at the bone yard and now just waiting for him to find the cover... It is a 3.8 so it shouldn't be hard.. I know where there is one at another boneyard but, for the price I will let them pull it!!!! And just go pick it up!!
  15. I even borrowed my friends husband so the job could go quicker a few days before...He broke off one bolt holding the oil pump on and I had hacksawed 2 of the studs, because in theory had all gone somewhat ok... It should have been able to slip off of said studs...I sent the picture to him telling him not to worry about the bolt he broke off at the oil pump...
  16. Yes, it did just that!! Busting it off was going to be a last resort and unfortunately was what had to be done
  17. More pics to come when I get the new cover and oil pump!!
  18. Well my Lincoln had been leaking coolant from behind the timing cover for a while... Fixed it with some Bars leaks 5 months ago and then it started leaking again :banghead: ...Funny she must have known I bought the gasket kit the week before Anyway the timing cover had never been cracked in 23 years so it was a P.I.T.A !!!!! to try and remove... The 4 studs did not really want to come out :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: and 1 bolt sheared off at the head wich in theory should have been ok and it should have just been able to slide out over the studs and bolts... Tried every conventional method to remove said bolt and studs to no avail Tried heating with a torch... nope still wouldn't budge... it was like this stupid timing cover was welded on the motor. So when all options were exhausted and the new to me timing cover will be 40.00... Let's break out the hammer!!! Got just a little dirty doing this job...
  19. Yes, Michael it is a very close floor plan!!
