HID Kits
well I'm not doing a retro I am actually designing and building from scratch. its a quad. the e92's are 3" lenses so its a tight squeeze altogether.

HID Kits
I am using E92's the MH1 and MD2S were not available when I was purchasing parts. the MH1 is actually a good projector overall although being a purist I say stick with the d2S. both of these projectors are designed by TRS specifically for retrofits. they also produce the FX-R which is a clone of the TL. if you are just doing a single projector I would say go with the FX-R. projectors can get very pricey but I would suggest to not skimp due to price look at reviews as well. the g5's are cheap and quality seems to be rather random depending on where they are manufactured. check out the local salvage yards you might be able to snag some damaged headlights dirt cheap to harvest the projectors from, often times this is where the projectors on ebay come from.

you dont need a diode switch your relays around and that way the high beam relay pin 30 can split its output to the low beam relay pin 87a without back feeding the rest of the circuit. obviously I made this for a hid with projector but really just change hid bulb to low beam and high beam solenoid to highbeam.. (its a little hard to read but I also posted this image on hidplanet which is easier to see.) http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?36315-1999-dodge-ram

Are 01-02 Engine ECM's interchangable?
as far as the cruise control the 94-01 trucks its controlled by the PCM. I cant think of anything that would be different on the ecm between those two years though

what is in this fuel?
so much for quality control, I have actually been wondering if I should add in some sort of dedicated tank filtration as I have been needing to change my stock filter every 10 - 20k miles it hasnt been as bad since I started avoiding the lower cost stations like safeway and arco.

Scan Tool
yea drbIII would be a wet dream to quite a few here. and to the question if it was exclusive to Chrysler I believe it is not. you can rent one for about $150/day though, saw it offered from some site a year or two ago --- Update to the previous post... wow its about 2 grand more.

how do the mice get in?
antifreeze causes the intestines to liquify, pretty horrible way to die. I had an inlaw poison my dogs that way.for some reason animals seem to think its tasty or something.

starting after 2 yr sleep
any trouble codes? turn key from off to on 3 times leaving it on on the third time and write down all the P-codes it spits out on the mileage display

When do you buy a new starter ?
depends on how far gone it is but if you inspect it often enough you can catch it and do these fixes. if you dont replace the brushes before they get too short then commutator damage can result, not as easy to fix.

True Mileage
that truspeed box is really meant for a vehicle that has tires beyond the size limit in the ABS which is somewhere in the 40" range if i remember correctly. below that I would just look into getting a http://www.hypertech.com/products-speedometer-calibrator.aspx plugs in just like a smarty but only deals with the tires, and on a plus it pulls your DTC's too. i don't own this but I have a hypertech III that does the same thing plus some tuning.

TIRES - Sizes, brands, etc. - What do you run?
just tells me that they have spent tons more money on advertising than any other brand.

Tires
yea thats why i bought all 5 at once, replaced my perfectly good 235/85 spare tire. i had to wait 2 days for them to ship across country 3 tires.
-
Tires
mopar1973man said his 235/85's are load range E I don't do much towing so the 255/85's are load range D which is plenty for my needs.
-
Tires
I went with 255/85/r16 seemed like a happy medium to me, its taller and wider then the 235/85r16 but still keeps the mileage under control. one of these days I will have to actually calculate it but I know i am saving some $$ given how often i fill up.

Parking Brake / Emergency Brake Frozen!
still quite the run on a set of pads

Parking Brake / Emergency Brake Frozen!
horrifically you reminded me of Christmas eve 1997. trucker woke up at a truck stop started up the truck and just went for it. he drug the trailer 20 miles. so driving a tow truck me and my business partner at the time were called out to give this guy a hand. he blew out 4 drive tires and was hauling a 60k load. so I would up laying on the ice with many road flares trying to thaw the drums till the pads could break free. I will never look at a canary yellow Peterbuilt the same ever again. given the weather I would venture a guess that you got some ice binding it up

Wipers
rubber cleaner/reconditioner. as long as you wipe them down afterwards it will not cause any issues with wiping. you just need to revitalize the rubber itself, wipe off the excess.
