Communication issues (& more)
however I think the likely issue is just a shotty rebuild of the ecm. AC noise shouldn't fry the ecm that fast. I would replace the alternator if you are seeing a ton of ac noise for good measure, but I dont think it is what is causing the issue, I think that the issue is the source of the rebuilt ecm. rebuilt ecms are a crap shoot.

Quadzilla Shudder light throttle
FYI for the beta guys, this flash has a built in "easy timing" mode. If you set all these timing variables to 0 Fuel load:0 light load:0 tps reduct:0 reduct Scale:0 light load limit:0 Then your quad will do timing like it used to, but it will be an addition to stock timing at each rpm in the timing equalizer So if you set this as your timing curve 1500: 3* over stock timing 2000: 4* over stock timing 2500: 5* over stock timing 3000: 6* over stock timing Max: 7* over stock timing then you will get oem timing + 3* at 1500, oem plus 4* at 2k and so forth I dont like this method nearly as much because it doesn't allow you to set the curve how you want it so much, but it might prove useful for a tow tune or something. Maybe you dont wanna spend a ton of time dialing in what you truck likes. or maybe you like stock timing. the word of warning is ensure you are not heavy on the throttle when you change between the tune types, IE if you have a tow tune that uses easy timing, and a race tune that uses the v2 timing then don't change tunes when you are under significant load. you will notice timing go "wacky" as the new tune applies. have fun.

grid heater relays won't help. If the grids are getting kicked on and off then the ecm is doing it. If the wts is not staying on the there is some sort of issue in the grid control part of the ecm. your WTS light is still delayed by a good 10 seconds in the video. ECM issue. it should come on as soon as you key on. this sucks that you are dealing with this

here you go I dont know if there is any difference in the beta vs the play store though. app-release.apk Set the offset for however you see fit. If you want to have it idle at 2 to make it match your gauge then no prob there, just know your tunes start at the 2 psi setting. I would personally run it so idle = 0 psi just to give you more tuning room ya know? 132 was good for my 100 hp injectors so 120 will be pretty close for 75's. How do you like how the hand off works?

Quadzilla iQuad bluetooth issues
a lot of times this will happen if you have a tune selected then you move to a different profile and the new profiles tune settings are different. When you switch profiles always select "default tune" first that will ensure that when you connect to the new profile it sends the default command rather than all of the tuning variables.

looking at it you want this one if you want mpg stuff V2 Quadzilla Only Test2 2.7

ADR9802V2.7 MPG Release Final
not a bad idea, might put that into a feature request for @Quadzilla Power

Communication issues (& more)
grid heaters are controlled by a trigger in the ecm. Does the wts light stay on longer when you key on, or does it just turn on and off? Given the history my speculation is that the ecm is still having issues.

feel free to ask questions I will go into as much depth as needed to explain how a setting works fully. The better you understand the better your truck will run.

Thanks guys. I am glad it is working well. I am very happy with it.

Yes there is no more hard fuel standard fuel. If you want upline to 3700 justinpt that as your rpm limit lol

Custom Quadzilla Tuning R & D Thread
@AH64ID Question I have been meaning to ask, but keep forgetting If you were to magically set all conditions static except rpm, how much timing increase do you need to add per 500 rpm increase to keep the combustion event at the same point in time related to tdc?

Thanks Kody, ithought you said you did test it

3 cyl high idle still Low EGTs....
So I figured I needed to test this. My pyro is in the front 3 cylinders. I went out with an IR gun, truck is 3 cyl mod, and took temps off each port on the manifold. the front 3 where sitting at ambient engine temp, back 3 where at ~100*f greater than ambient temps. Is your manifold not divided into front and back? like this picture? if you do have a divided manifold it is very plausible to have one side be at 600*f temp and other at 170*f. I believe the Quadzilla canbus message is delayed 1 cylinder and that is why we see the shift in the front to back with the Quad on or off. I would be willing to bet the truck warms up as fast with the quad on or off. I think @Carbur8tr might have a pyro on the front and back? I dunno.

alright I am pretty confident in this style of handoff. How it works is you have a fueling limit for oem of 1000 rpm, HOWEVER once you hit that 1000 rpm the fueling limit drops down to 700 rpm unless your tps goes to 0 then. If tps = 0 or rpms drop below 700 the fueling limit is returned back to 1000 rpm. This prevents the fighting that we were used to. you will notice a "lul" in fueling when you hit that 1000 rpm limit, but for me it is only noticeable when well below %10 throttle. If I am driving around normal the truck just takes off. When lvl1 is set low enough to be "anti theft" the truck can buck a bit, but I am not worried about that. I would love to have feed back on this one.

Quadzilla Shudder light throttle
This was an accident, kzimmers truck wouldn't fuel enough to ramp up rpms so I upped the limit lol. I did 3 flashes on the way to work. 1 with fueling smoothing based on rpm, one with a tps cut off and one with a fueling % adjustment based on tps input. The tps cut was the best for all around, I got to thinking that it I adjust the rpm limit depeneding on the situtation it might solve the issue. So I am gonna test what happens if I do a if > 5 && can_rx_rpm > rpmlimit Rpm limit is set at 950 rpm on start, but as soon as you qualify the above statement then rpm limit drops to 800 so the quadzilla will continue to fuel until rpms drop belowq 800. This might make everyone happy.

I actually had the same thought lolol,

Quadzilla Shudder light throttle
yea I don't know. Mikes truck didn't like that tune. My truck likes it though. the handoff when pulling fuel down is hard to make smooth. been mulling things over.

Quadzilla Shudder light throttle
You will get %100 of oem at 800 rpm and below. then it steps down fueling by a % of difference per rpm jump until 1100 rpm. So this smoothing only happens at 0 psi as well. so if you hit 1 psi the smoothing disables. it is as if you had someone adjusting down your 0 psi setting on the fly from 800 rpm to 1100. I dunno it was a wild thought I had. it seems to work pretty good for me. I need to play more tomorrow. it may smoke like crazy at 900 rpm if you really lug it....dunno

Quadzilla Shudder light throttle
alright guys, if you wouldn't mind at some point giving me feedback on this tune in the offidle area. Does the fueling handoff work better or worse in the sub 1100 rpm region? I am curious about the daily driving situtations and lug down situtations for the manual guys. It is smoother than my old smoothing tune, but I can still make it buck if I lockup at less than 900 rpm and put a lot of throttle to it. ADRV27beta.exe Be warned it is beta, I have thought through the logic and tested various things, but who knows. No fueling adjustments at idle state in warmup or normal levels. lvl 0 is true lvl 0, not canbus fueling The way it works is I am altering the starting fueling % as 100% at idle and then moving down to a fueling % that matches your 0 psi setting by 1100 rpm. If your tunes start over %100 at 0 psi then you will not notice any difference. small injector tune guys with a tune starting % in the 85+ area shouldn't notice much difference. I dunno hard to tell. as a side note I am very happy to have such a nice beta group lolol.

Quadzilla Shudder light throttle
No it wasnt done. I am working through the long drawn out process of thinking through every situtation to try and split it when needed and ensure that at idle state the trucks ecm is doing fueling. I think I have it, but I need to think more.

3 cyl high idle still Low EGTs....
3 cyl high idle is a function of the ecm. The quadzilla high idle and the ecm high idle do not get along side by side so you disable the quads high idle.

@kzimmer I like the handoff as well. I am not sure what to do. Damned if you do damned if you dont kinda thing.
