  1. So while Mike is happy with the power of the quad he is struggling to get good mpg out of the unit, unlike Tyler and myself. Bothersome because we didn't even have to try it just came with the lack of smoke. I think Tyler did 21 on his first try with his firehouse injectors and I did 24.7 without trying with my 100's Mike however is struggling to hit 20. We are all running the same timing map, but different tuning on the canbus fueling. I am however down at nearly sea level now running Mike's tune and I am smoke free so I know Mike's tune is WAY under fueled since he has 50's. I am betting Mike has get away with a starting point of 98 or even 100 rather than the 93 he has with his current tune. Watching the timing number I can see what I get high timing at high revs and low throttle / load. At 1500 rpm 55 mph and flat ground low tps you can easily see 22 or 23* as soon as you increase throttle to 25-30% timing drops like a rock to 14-16*. Once revs get up above 2200 then timing starts getting high again. So what makes for good mpg, I have never bothered to look or research but I am assuming we are dealing with timing advancement before TDC? Am I off on this thinking? My current thinking is since Mike is under fueled due to the low canbus tuning he is having to us significantly more tps which is dropping the timing. So any thoughts on this? I am assuming that Mike's issue is the under fueled tune causing him to need higher tps at cruising causing the oem map to retard.
  2. Only one projector per housing. I left the 9006 bulb in place for highs as they throw light well.
  3. Not xzt plans at this point since there is no interface device to tune with.
  4. No tunes can be flashed on your own computer.
  5. Just wait for the beta test to finish then you flash the new tune and run the new vehicle profile on the iquad.
  6. A tire that is out of round can cause death wobble. It might not be the same death wobble but I dare you to tell the diff.
  7. My death wobble issues have anyways been tire related.
  8. Please tell us what your setup is and what tune you have on the quad along with what custom tune you are running.
  9. Anything over 125% is hitting the limit. 150 does squat. At 20 psi the ECM is commanding 3700 at peak. Add %125 to it and you have the max of 4095 Mike all I changed on the tune was the low limit for wiretap. The rest was the same. Mike just needs bigger injectors
  10. 11. Just did a few legs of our honeymoon trip, cabover camper loaded and doing 55 most of the way always on lvl3 first leg was pure highway but with 30-50 mph headwinds......sucked, but still managed to get 13.4 mpg. Next leg the wind let up mostly, very little flat ground, mostly hills and increasing and decreasing speeds from 35 to 55 mph, 14.6 mpg. Most recent leg was a lot flatter and much less wind, mostly 55 mph and netted 16.7 mpg. I need to find a walmart or somplace that sells a pool noodle to jam between the cab and the camper to try and keep air from getting jammed in there. I am not complaining in the least bit. Anyone want to see TM at work? Note the far right field in yellow. Looks like 25 mph is the magic number for TM. You can see the ecm commanding fuel at 4-8 mph that is normal, then it gets cut, even though TP shasn't changed, then once 25 mph is reached fueling is allowed. guess what.......we can override TM without much hassle. Give me a little time to do some comparing to my truck's fueling message offidle and I will get something in place to negate TM.
  12. Man I want a new dash. Good work
  13. Give the one I sent over last night a try. Make sure you hit the custom tune the. Load default tune because the screen won't update the values for levels that match the tune until you do so. Ie if you old tune on the box had 10 lvls but the new one has 6 then the screen stays at 10 until you reload the default tune. Of that tune doesn't work then go back to the old one and I will have to find out what I am missing.
  14. @NightHawk If you haven't yet downdownload the iquad app and mess around with it. You can get a feel for it by doing that. JusT download the app, hit the otions button, cog or 3 dots, then select vehicle use either of the beta vehicles at the bottom of the list. Then go into the custom tuning section. I can do a video but it won't be for a few weeks
  15. I refuse to plan anything haha.
  16. Likeold fords, I will be up in your area in a few days on the year delayed honeymoon.
  17. Look for a short in the bare gorund wire in the engine bay and also on the switch.
  18. Exactly why I bumped up the low limit, you may be hitting that low limit before you should be and over fueling. Who knows what causes the sensor to be off. Might be an old sensor or maybe just the nature of the beast. Again doesn't bother me because I don't pay much attention to psi.
  19. It depends on the route he is going to take. If he wants they quad then go with bigger injectors. If I knew then what I know now I would have gone with 200 hp injectors and just used the canbus tuning and no wiretap. Big injectors really give a lot of meat down low. Using the quad you could make them run very clean. Driving Tyler's truck really opened my eyes to that. As for my setup, I could easily run 150-'s and wiretap. Pedal down unloaded I can't hit 1300. My setup right now is what I would call stupid proof. Anyone could jump in and drive it like an idiot and nothing would happen. All that said if you want a good towing rig with the hx then 100's would be good provided you don't use wiretap when towing. But buying injectors once is cheaper than buying them again once you get a new turbo.
  20. I would recommend DFI all day long.
  21. agree'd I don't pay much mind to psi.
  22. I don't think there is any difference. the box is the same, just the coding on the box is updated with this. @Mopar1973Man Interesting on the boost gauge. Not really a huge deal for me, but I would be curious to see what others noticed. Mine reads pretty close to the gauges I have compared to in the past.
  23. I will shoot you over one in the morn
