  1. I'd check your wiring if that doesn't work then remove the xzt
  2. verify the wiring to the rear is good using a paper clip to jump the speed sensor plug at the rear, then use a multi meter to ohm the wiring from the abs computer. there is a junction that is right above / behind the drivers front tire. this junction can get beat up bad and wiring can fail.
  3. do you have something like a plastic putty knife? Iwould try and get that between the flange and see if it comes undone.
  4. does it look rusty? you are %100 sure everything is disconnected?
  5. can you snap a picture? might take a light tap with a hammer to seperate the turbo from the manifold.
  6. have you followed the steps in the tuning guide for finding a starting %?
  7. the electric turbo assist only pre spools in special situtations, when towing exhaust gasses will drive the turbo like normal.
  8. I don't know that i would jump to replacing stuff yet. just keep and eye on it. You are demanding a lot of fuel at wot, but depending on how much time you spend at WOT or the purpose of the truck you might be fine. Positive pressure is positive pressure, if you just race the truck then I wouldn't worry as you are likely just heavy on the throttle for ~20 seconds then off again. However if you see that during street pulls or towing pressure drops like that then I would look deeper. I was just noting it.
  9. Fishing report for the day was 2 little walleye and 1 pretty damn big sturgeon. guessing the sturgeon was 40-50". my niece caught it first cast on a $30 zebco with #5 test.
  10. The Quad gauges are fine for most. I tend to not think of gauges as %100 accuate regardless, they are all calibrated in one way or another. For me the point of gauges was to spot and issue, such as Fuel pressure dropping to 0 psi. If the quad gauge reads 1 or 5 psi off that wouldn't matter since 0 psi is 0 psi. Same goes for boost and egt, 20 psi boost or 25 psi boost doesn't really matter if the truck is running well.
  11. really comes down to if you want a canned tune, Edge, or if you want a tune that is geared to the truck you have, Quad. Both are reliable, both have bad units out of the gate. most complaints from the quad are a result of a badly kept up truck and not wanting to put the effort into getting a tune built. You don't hear about this with the edge because there is no tuning to suite you needs and it doesn't need sensor data to do what it does. Example is if you unplug the map witt the edge it defaults to 10 psi for fueling values. You won't really notice this with the edge, however iwth the quad if you unplug the map you are left with a truck that runs like garbage. If you put the effort in with the quad it will pay you back with a nice running truck, if you don't put the effort in then good luck to you.
  12. that the pop off pressure, you can just get standard injectors. call @dieselautopower and let them set you up.
  13. Dfi and dap are both good guys. Nothing bad to say about either. I prfer vco simply because they came from the factory that way.
  14. If the head seal is still on leave it. It is hard to beat a factory seal, just install the studs 1 at a time. Follow the arp directions. As for injectors 7 x .010'sand a 62/68/12 is a proven awesome setup.
  15. Did you follow the directions in section 2 for how to get started? It lays out how to find your starting %
  16. all stuff I am learning. underground drainage seems like a dumb idea in principle, why bury something that you need to watch lol.
  17. yep the extra wattage reduces life span, for me I can deal with less light for longer life.
  18. In the basement there was a big ole crack in the corner of the foundation. Rolled the dice and we said we would deal with it as it didn't seem like a typical big issue crack...... Turns out that when you don't clean your gutters the water runs over and spilled right into the window well and runs down to the corner of the house, It is amazing sometimes what a little bit of water can explain. Got a plan A at this point that I think will resolve the issue. thankfully it will just take a bit of dirt and a tweak to where the downspouts are discharging to make me happy.
  19. @JAG1' I very much think the house is safe, however convincing the bank might be a different story
  20. 1 county to the west has their first draft maps up, the elevation for a .2% chance per year is a full 20 feet below this place.
  21. USAA is telling me they want flood insurance on the place due to the property being within the 1988 flood map zone 1...... X marks the house. I went out with my GPS to plot altitude and the house is no less than 25' higher than the river accounting for GPS inaccuracy. there is a clause in the agreement that says I have the right to have a fema rep come out. Giving that the above map has my back yard in not a flood plain but the house in a flood plain even though they are at the same elevation I think Fema will be on my side. one step at a time.
  22. possibly a bad sensor. Do you have a way to verify that fuel pressure?
  23. i wouldn't sweat seeing egts above 1250 for a bit. however with higher hp than stock egt's that high means high load, which means your cooling system is likely the weak link and you will have to back off the pedal. i wouldn't trust either completely. knowing the true egt %100 accurate is really not all that important. i would be looking for boost leaks.
