  1. Yep I have a cheapo $15 old from china that I use. I am have been wanting a better one though. I would say something was unplugged while the head was off or tranny out etc etc. Drive to autozone/oreilly and borrow their scanner. Clear codes and see what comes up. My only concern is the voltage too high codes, shouldn't an unplugged sensor read too low? No signal return should have the ecm reading 0V
  2. I am gonna go out on a limb and say it is time for a PCM, ECM, and Alternator.
  3. are you seeing a voltage drop on your dash when the light it on? Does the truck run?
  4. I hate having to drag people through the mud to get something, been there done that with Airdog, but I suppose it got results so it is needed. I'll give him a few more calls today and see if I can't get him to send me out injectors today.
  5. I can't imagine going through that.
  6. I dunno I can't get a hold of Chris, He was supposed to call me Wednesday/Thursday ugh. Called him, Thursday, Friday, this am, left a message each time. I will keep pestering him today and try to get something from him. Dunno if I should blow up his thing on CF to get his attention or what.
  7. Alright I have moved the install stuff over to an article http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/26-engine-systems/482-holset-he351ve-install-retrofit-2nd-gen-cummins
  8. Looking good. Looks like your truck might beat mine to getting back on the road.
  9. It is crazy how quickly it can change. Last 5 years or so have been bad drought here in colorado, but this is is %100 flopped this year. Everything is wet. I feel for you guys up there, it sucks to have to worry about someone doing something that is normally considered "kinda dumb, but not a huge issue" and accidentally lighting the place ablaze. Problem I see is in the scar of the event that causes huge political issues in the future. Just an example, since the pass burned up a couple years ago here "waldo canyon fire" we have had some bad flash flooding. Well this year they put in a HUGE amount of coin to fix the drainage in that area. Even with the record setting rains this year we haven't had hardly any flooding as a result. Regardless of that CDOT closes the pass everytime a somewhat heavy rain storm pretends comes through. I have been stuck at the top of the pass for hours on end waiting for the light drizzle to let up multiple times. Maybe I am young and dumb, but it drives me crazy when all these laws and policies get put into place to try and prevent stupid. As for fighting the fires, it is hard to weight the cost to each of the families that loose everything, but fire is something we have to deal with it. To me nothing is worth the lives of guys getting burned up. If the conditions permit then sure try and save a home or what not, but it isn't worth risking lives. Fires CAN be a good thing for the landscape. A section of the San de Cristo mountains burned up a few years back, now you go up there and everything is alive and growing like you wouldn't believe. I guess all you can do it pray that some water comes your way to helps you guys out. Sucks when all you see on the news is a fire here or there and nothing but windy, dry, hot weather to come.
  10. They have their own relay that draws power directly from the battery.
  11. Good hids in a engineered projector will provide more output than anything else for a reasonable cost.
  12. hell my mother doesn't even love me. She's blind though.........
  13. I would think you would need 150's to be happy. Heck a lot of guys run 150's on the hx35 without issues. If cost if no issue then I would suggest using westons injectors. everyone who makes big power and has tried his swear
  14. thanks haha, I kid a lot but I would rather live in a shack with an old ford fiesta than not take care of the lady.
  15. Yea I was tricked into it. cosmetics were/ are good, but the bondo can only cover so much.
  16. I wish, I have a wedding to pay for along with about 10k worth of dental work for my future wife....ugh
  17. I actually just threw a new caliper on last night, well new being reman. Hopefully it works as it should.
  18. Metra 99-6000 is what I am using to mount a single din radio in mine.
  19. I spent 4 hours trying to pull the bleed nipple out after it busted, I was so mad that I decided to go buy a new caliper for "whatever it costs" I got to the parts store and it was like $26 for a new one. I must just have a bad taste in my mouth after dealing with it. As it sits my drivers caliper is sticking bad. I am just going to buy a new one and not worry about it.
  20. Mine actually just died. It started with cutting out on one side then a few days later it just wouldn't turn on. It is on my desk to pull apart and look, but I am not sure when I will get to it. I would however look first at wiring. Pull the radio out and use a paper clip to jump the pos and neg speaker wires one at a time. Then just a multimeter at each speaker to check for continuity while opening and closing the doors.
  21. But you under estimate how lazy I am. :shifty
  22. Yep water/meth is to help with heat issues when other paths don't work. I am with Mike here, I think you are too low on fuelto light the turbo under the powerband. Thus causing heat issues. If you are climbing any real grade you should be seeing boost levels over 5psi minimum to keep heat down. Nick
  23. I don't bother with resealing them, if they are bad I just buy new ones. I think they were under $30 for a caliper. As for pads, I always run the cheapo pad. they wear faster, but that is what they are supposed to do. Saves the rotors. They stop the truck pretty good.
