Im a target
My water temp is still fluctuating all over from 190-220 or so I put in my old t-stat and ran it up the road. I forgot about my tags expiring 8 days ago and a sheriff stopped me. While im setting there with my 3yr old another sheriff pulls up and then another. They get out to shoot the crap with the one that pulled me over and finally after about 10 minutes come back to my truck and ask me to get out. Said he stopped me for my expired tags and then asked if i frequent a local road. I said I go down it sometimes but not frequent and hardly ever in the truck because its usually parked and im in the car. When I told him not in the truck, he looked at the other officer real quick and then back at me and asked if I like to show my genitals to women running down that road. Evedently there is another white dodge with a black bumper in the area and the driver has a "scruffy" face. I told him no I do not do that and then I left. So now anytime I drive my truck I will probably get stopped because of some pervert that lives around here showing his junk to runners.

alternator noise?
I just replaced my idler pulley a few months ago because it started squeeking. Do the lights dim when you fist start it and its cold because of the grid heater cycle?

hell bent steel lift kit
I think im gonna order a 1" level for my truck too. I was having a sagging issue on the passenger side but swapped the front springs around and think I have gottent that straightened out. I would go with some 7x.009 (100hp) from Contagious Diesel, Lee builds a great injector and stands behind his work. I have been fighting a white puff of smoke on startup and was hoping it was the injectors, I sent them back to Lee and he sent me another set no questions asked. Plus he has the best prices in the country. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Contagious-Diesel-Performance/147994165231032

[TH=class: label]Location[/TH] Mayville, WI

[TH=class: label]Personal Information[/TH] Matt - 1 920 382 3312 Lee - 1 920 517 1247 Call or text. I feel like an idiot
I set my valves over a year ago and have been fighting a little puff of white smoke for the last few months. I just put in another set of injectors and still the same. Well looking at my hayes manual it says set the exhaust at .20 inch and intake at .10 inch. I have always used a small feeler gauge I used on my motorcycles and everyone of my exhaust is set to 20mm and intake at 10mm, which is like .004 inch and .008 inches. its a wonder I havent destroyed my engine and several others.:banghead: --- Update to the previous post... Ok, got them all set to 19 and 08. It fired up and ran as it should and im gonna check in the morning for the puff of white smoke. When I am at bdc my #5 exhaust is loose and so is the intake. Its not loose enough to get a 2mm gauge in it but its got a little wiggle, is this normal or have I messed up a valve?

I have a comp but would like to try a smarty someday. I usually run my comp on 2x5 for best mileage and with my 7x.010, its really got all the power I need too.

Maaco
I think we kept the truck only about 2 more years. You know how dumb kids are:banghead:. I need to get my roof painted and I want to get my rockers and over the fenders done with line-x but seems I have to many needs infront of my wants and not enough money.

Maaco
My dad had my first truck (66 gmc) painted at maaco but did the body work himself. It was like $400 back in 1999 or so and it wasnt bad. If it had had good body work it would have been alot better.

Help With Bad Idle
You will have to remove the nozzle and see if the pintle slides good. With over 100k, a new set wouldnt be a bad idea.

LMC has flooring and everything for these trucks with pretty good prices on most.
