Injectors
I think you have found the highest place to get injector/s work and tubes. I got full rebuilt injectors with 125-150hp added power for $350 all together and tubes for less than $100 for all 6. I wouldnt replace tubes unless they look bad or you scuff one of the ends up. Those are the same wheels I had on my 03 and ran them a while on my 98, they dont look bad just not as good as these. I looked on ebay earlier and there are several sets like mine and the newer design for not much more than that guy wants. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2384-2010-DODGE-RAM-2500-3500-17-FACTORY-ALLOY-OE-WHEELS-RIMS-/160769617629?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item256e9daedd&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dodge-Ram-2500-3500-HD-Factory-OEM-17-Wheels-Rims-Polished-Aluminum-Alloy-8-lug-/180848575271?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a1b6a4327&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/shine-on-captain-OEM-DODGE-RAM-2500-3500-POLISHED-ALLOY-17-WHEELS-/220976114560?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item337333eb80&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/17-DODGE-RAM-2500-3500-POLISHED-FACTORY-OEM-WHEELS-RIMS-2012-/110847180380?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19cf01be5c&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/17-DODGE-RAM-2500-3500-POLISHED-FACTORY-OEM-WHEELS-RIMS-2012-/140728963960?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20c4199378&vxp=mtr

Anybody change the carpet and dash?
The dash doesnt seem that hard to me. Are you replacing it with one from LMC?

I had some 3rg gen chrome clads and they didnt look near as good so I would definalty hold out for aluminums if you can.

Oil Leak from vent tube connection
Mine was weeping just like yours but being an 03 I just replaced the filter.
-
Oil Leak from vent tube connection
Yep, just about the same price too.

Oil Leak from vent tube connection
If you pull off the plastic valve cover cover you will see the unit, it has a non servicable filter inside it and is supposed to be replaced at 85k. I got one for my 03 at Cummins for about $50.

Looking at a possible "new to me" '05 3500 4x4
Sounds like the "bulge" in the exhaust is a resonator and it will keep the exhaust drone down. Im sure you could upgrade the radio to any aftermarket unit.

Oil composition to change!
Why is zinc important to the government that they need it removed from oil?

A little package came...
Just remove the 5 or so bolts that holds the lines to the intake and move them out of the way as you need to. I have done injectors probably 10 times and never pulled the lines.

You might just think about getting some new tubes, Change them one at a time and you wont have to bleed the system. I pulled my injectors the other day and and didnt have any to put back in so I just pushed my tubes back in the head and connected my lines back to the head ( I dont pull my lines when I change injectors), well I pushed the tube pictured in to far and had to pry it out with a screwdriver and boogered up the tip a little. If its even the smallest bit off they will leak and not idle smooth. When I first put my injector in, it idled at 780rpm and didnt have 10rpm of bounce, it was perfectly smooth.

I was refering to another member saying that them being corroded was common. Here is one I just pulled out to replace because i boogered the end up. How do the ends look where they meet the injectors? May have been leaking a little over the years caused them to rust?

My crossover tubes have never looked like that and I have had them out many times. I will get a pic of one in a few minutes to show how they look.

Tires
I believe they are off an 07, they arent the true polished aluminum but they have a polished aluminum cover over bear aluminum. The early 03-05 had true polished aluminum and non polished aluminum that had sharper corners and looked a little better but you really wouldnt know the difference unless you were looking for it. Those 4th gen rims will look great on your truck. No spacers, they bolt right up!

Just gotta stay at it, sometimes mine takes forever to blead and one or twice it fired up pretty quick. I sent my injectors back to Lee for a check-up so I will get to do this in another week or so again myself.

I have the 3rd gens on my 98 with drum breaks and they fit great, I would hate to go back to the 2nd gen rims after having these.

I know I have seen a couple 2nd gens running the 4th gen rims and they look good.

Front end popping noise?
Im glad you asked because after reading, they are for topguns control arms. These should fit the oem arms http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/shop_parts/control_arm_bushing/dodge/ram_3500.html

You didnt see much difference in ride height or comfort? I want a 2" coil but the only ones I have found are the rough country and im not sure about them. If I can get some that ride as good as stock that will be fine because I dont go offroad much.

Tires
Yes on my 98 and they are wide but not to wide. You could go with a 285/75/17 but its not that popular of a size and not to many companies offer them. 285/70/17 is another option, although a little smaller, you wouldnt have to worry about rubbing on the control arms like mine do and every tire company out there makes this size. Where did you get 2" thuren coils, are they for a 2nd gen?

Tires
I am really liking my 305/70/17 nitto terra grapplers on 3rd gen aluminum wheels. They ride 10x better than the oem bfg that came on my 03 and show little to no wear at 10k miles. Cant help with wheels except for 3rd gen stockers.

New comer needs advice
My grandpa has always used diesel, even way back when they werent cool. He has a 78 or so 4 door chevy dually that he took the 454 out of and put a perkins (4 cyl?) diesel out of a combine in it back in the early 80's. I believe he destroyed the frame pulling to heavy or something so then he got an new 82 ford f-250 with 6.9 diesel. He has never thrown anything away until just a few weeks ago when he started taking junk off to the scrap iron yard. He has always had a diesel and I remember when he got his edge ez on his 01, I was at work and I get a message on my phone from him saying "I got one, bye". He is definalty a one of a kind character. He just put a mbrp 4 inch exhaust on last year and then the propane kit. He is 79 yrs old.
