concensus of running EGT's
I'm gonna pick on swift. They used to switch trailers near our yard and would sometimes pass their switch point and would pull in our yard to turn around. Twice they tore stuff up. One tore down our sign and one tore down a pipe rail that had outlets on it. Pulled all the electrical out of the ground. And this was a huge yard plenty of room to turn around!!

Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
My first memory of driving, I was about 5 years old. My Dad asked me if I thought I could drive a early 50s jeep pkp along some feed bunks without hitting them. Of course I said yes. He had it in low gear and low range so just idling along. In spite of his instructions and my promise not to hit anything, I bumped into the feed bunks. Now I teach my 6 and 7 year old grandsons to drive every chance I get. Sorry for hijacking thread.

concensus of running EGT's
Might give companies a broader employee base First diesel truck I drove was a 67 GMC cab over with, you guessed it, a 318 Detroit, 10 speed, and a hi/lo gearbox, and low was reeeally low. 55mph up hill and down. Was pretty much worn out then. Wiring was a real nightmare.

Yep it was time to replace the ujoint
Are the parts made in China?
-
Yep it was time to replace the ujoint
Guess I shouldn't beat up on the Chinese. Sorry
-
Yep it was time to replace the ujoint
I suppose Chinese vehicles wear out about as fast as Chinese parts so the inferior materials aren't a big deal on Chinese cars

Yep it was time to replace the ujoint
No wonder you were a little annoyed!

Front drive shaft double cardan joint
You could rebuild it yourself and then have driveline shop check balance, give you a chance to get your hands dirty and maybe hit your thumb with a hammer or something

TIRES
I haul 700 gallons of water up a pretty good slope to our house year round. Isn't much with a higher pucker factor than sliding down hill backwards on a snow packed road with a loaded trailer cause I didn't think I needed chains. Lot easier to put them on and not need them than to wish you would've.

Pulling a loaded trailer on a snow-packed hill is a real challenge !

Notice how flat that road is. Not pulling a trailer either

Reciever locks?!
I have a locking pin around here somewhere. Never had any trouble unlocking it but too much of a nuisance for me. If I'm not towing I take the hitch off anyway. Did have a friend that always towed real heavy and lost his trailer when the hitch tube cut through the pin. He always used a solid hitch after that.

Turbo rebuild
You can download a holset manual for your turbo and it will guide you through the rebuild. My kit didn't come with the turbo to down pipe adapter gasket and mine was in 3 pieces so had to get that separate.

Goose neck adapter
Am looking into getting a 5th wheel camper. After this discussion I may just stick with original hitch. "Cracks!" Oh my!

ABS and Brake lite stuck on
Pretty sure my 98 12valve had a bulb for abs cause it burnt out and I replaced it. Iirc it is smaller(pc74) than standard inst cluster bulb(194) and more expensive! However, my memory has never been all that reliable. Haha
