  1. Pretty sure my 98 12valve had a bulb for abs cause it burnt out and I replaced it. Iirc it is smaller(pc74) than standard inst cluster bulb(194) and more expensive! However, my memory has never been all that reliable. Haha

  3. I think you can find just the bearing with out the block at a farm store
  4. If you bed is trashed to begin with a bed liner won't make it all better. I've seen them used to hide damage

  6. Pushing air down when bleeding brakes too
  7. One of the truck drivers I work with had a deer try to jump over his late model freight liner today. Hit the drivers side window and shattered it, showering the driver in glass. Had just a couple small cuts on his face is all. He was fortunate! Killed the deer. Didn't think to take a picture.

  11. Maybe it was the starting fluid that caused your oil pan to leak!!
  12. Thanks guys. He's getting advice from a shop in town. He is probably replacing cheaper alternatives first. I'll let him know what you all think.
  13. My neighbor says the only way he can get his 03 cummins to start is with starting fluid. He has replaced a bunch of parts, he can't remember what all, but everything costs 2 or 3 hundred dollars, the last of which was the in tank pump. Nothing has helped. He says it runs great, just won't start, hot or cold doesn't matter. Any thoughts?
  14. You can actually make a lock nut by just whacking the side of the nut with a hammer. May take a little practice so you don't smash it too far, if nut will easily spin onto bolt, then you need to give it a little more, if you can't get nut started onto bolt then you need a new nut.
  15. Like the idea of having a pilot lite so you don't accidentally leave backup kites on while driving
  16. We have had good luck with squash in the garden but not much else. Poor soil and gets pretty chilly at night. My brother gave us some tomato and pepper sets last summer that my wife made sort of a plastic tent for. They did pretty well but really hard to make the plastic last.
  17. My wife thinks I can build anything with nothing. Gonna try and talk her into buying one. Thanks for the info
  18. Is your greenhouse home made? We have talked about one, but haven't done anything yet
  19. Is it the reservoir leaking. iirc some pumps come w/reservoir, some without
  20. Some water is harder than other. Creek water probably has less minerals than well water.
  21. Could using graphite grease specifically cause the abs issue
  22. It would be my guess that discs are an option on otr trucks but old-school people will be hesitant to change until/unless they are proven safer, to last longer, are cheaper, or mandated by government. My $.02
  23. Is the oil pan sealed up?
  24. Is this for the cats benefit, or the humans? I've never had the desire to lick a cat!
  25. Couldn't some of the mpg gain when changing from stock injectors be attributed to the stockers being worn out?
