  1. Looking good. I didn't see where you got the bumper. I would like to do this someday. Have already had one glancing deer hit. I have a plow so bumper needs to fit pretty close like original.
  2. Can I come over and play?
  3. I can hear the cows just fine!
  4. Kinda sounds like your just a little apprehensive about diving into this. I was too. You can probably find a video on turbo rebuild. In fact you could probably do a video for this site. Don't know about that for sure, gotta ask someone smarter than me!
  5. You can download Cummins turbo rebuild manual and I believe at least one of the vendors on the site here have a Cummins rebuild kit. When I did mine I needed to replace waste gate housing gasket as it was leaking. I also replaced turbo to manifold gasket. Not too tough. You can do it.
  6. My 12 valve ran for a while with loose bolts and lost one. I just put a longer bolt in the hole that goes through. Seemed to be enough extra threads to hold. Never came loose again but tightened bolts myself this time!!
  7. Dropped the starter on my 2000 and was a piece of cake.
  8. I haven't done it myself, but in talking to the po of my 2000, he broke the dash when changing out the heater core, so might be careful of that.
  9. Thanks for the input guys
  10. Any reason to avoid a quadzilla. I was leaning towards an edge comp maybe someday, so I've got time to plan. Need other things first. What are pros and cons of both
  11. Sounds to me like you only want to replace the rubber hose. On my 98 there was a quick coupler on the end of the steel line but the rubber hose was clamped on the other end. I just slid hose over the end of the steel and clamped it. No more leaks.
  12. No need to replace it I guess!!
  13. Do you use the extra hole for hb wires?
  14. Used to have a Ford van with an aluminum ds. Amazing how light it was. Took great care changing u joints. I work in crude trucking. Transferred down here 2 years ago from southeastern Wyoming.
  15. I took the end cover of my edge ez, and while it looks like it is well sealed from the outside, I could tell there had been moisture inside. I would vote for some sort of box.
  16. Thanks for the info. Will try the small fan idea.
  17. Where are you finding pellets for $199/ton? We pay 250-260! Would like to have a forced-air furnace to help circulate heat throughout house, but only suplimental heat we have is portable electric. Stove is Quadrafire Mt Vernon(porcelain coated cast iron). Options are limited since we rent. Sure don't miss cutting wood!
  18. My sons would have the bill on that cap rolled before you can say "you might be a redneck"
  19. Quadrafire pellet stove in the house we rent. Has a programable thermostat on the wall like a furnace. Supposed to be able to burn corn, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and I don't know what all. We just burn pellets. House has cathedral ceiling above stove, so upstairs stays warm but back rooms downstairs don't. Still need shed for pellets, has some ashes, best to clean once a week or so. Outside of this stove doesn't get hot like a wood stove. Once in a while it has electronic glitch and shuts down or won't start. Can turn down to 50* and it will burn for a couple days if you have power.
  20. Thanks for your help. Will have to look into how lites are disabled.
  21. I feel your pain! Every time I turn around I need(want) something else.
