And he said, Let there be Light!
Was so much better than oem. The other question I have is my 2000 is set up for snow plow lites so when you plug in the plow it disables oem lites and enables plow lites. Any idea if this would be compatible with xenon system?

What is the difference between these and hid? I've got hids in my 98 and they were pretty much plug and play and not bothered by ribbed lenses. Lights things up pretty good. They were about 70 bucks 5 or 6 years ago iirc.

The time has come to produce the Mopar1973Man High Idle & MPG fooler switches again.
You could take Genos mount and use it for a pattern. It should come with the necessary spacers, etc.

Great article! I know you have supplier and cost here, might be good to have with article. I already have clear lenses, but cost is still a little intimidating. I'll put it on the list.

You obviously don't have much for oil leaks judging from the amount of rust I see!

KDP?!
Sorry, I can't find that tab, but as everyone else has said, they are easy to make. I like the fender washer idea.

KDP?!
Might want to consider a front crank seal while you have it apart. I think I have a KDP tab I could mail to you if your interested.

Done my share of smashing fingers. My Dad always said to take care of your hands so when you get old they will still work. Didn't always listen to him

Teardown and Rebuild
My Dad used to drive Ford(cummins powered) school buses. The schools mechanic always told the drivers " if it's too cold to go outside with no clothes on, plug those buses in"

brake problems
To test booster, push on brake pedal, then start engine. Brake pedal should go down when vacuum builds.

Block Heater buzz...
I had an open in the cord on my 12 valve at one time. Went to napa and they had an identical cord. Good as new!

4wd actuator bit the dust
Seems to me 2 whl low would be real handy when you need to back a trailer precisely, especially at night. I use 4lo quite often as I must back my trailer uphill on grass between 2 other vehicles. Was wondering if I could use air switch off of big truck to splice into vacuum lines, since my actuator is still good. I think pac brake makes something like this. About same cost as posi lock iirc.

Misery loves company. 365 days of model a ford
As a kid I learned to drive flatheads. The first I remember was a early 50s Jeep pickup. I think I was 5. Nearly every chance us kids got we drove something. Usually late 40s Ford or International pkps. Also had a late 40s Jeep CJ2A. My Dad was foreman on a farm/ranch. Also drove old open tractors quite a bit. Not as old as what your talking about. My dad had a 37 Ford pkp that he put an 85 hp flathead and hydraulic brakes into(originally had cable brakes). I still have the 37, hope to restore someday. Sorry to go so long, just reminiscing....

inspect your parts before installing them
I was impressed because I thought they were just sending you a replacement. Too bad you gotta pay twice.

What Soldering Station?
Are you gonna try it out on those rings?

inspect your parts before installing them
I had a balance weight fly off a new pressure plate and fly through the bell housing years ago, right after we fired the car up. After that I usually added an extra tack weld to them. Local parts store stood behind it, but still had to tear it apart to replace. Pre-install inspection is a really good idea.

Hello From Texas
Welcome Frog. My son recently ran across an elderly gentleman who had swapped a 49 Chevrolet pkp onto 96 Dodge dally frame with a 4bt and 5spd. Awesome truck.
