  1. I have all sorts of core sets I can shim up. How special do you feel nick... 350BAR, 400 BAR, 500BAR? (I feel like an auctioneer) Could do more than one set if one wants to install/re install....
  2. I think anything that can be done to improve efficiency, better control over smoke and power is worth looking at. If there are many negatives then its not worth it. Would like to offer custom pop off pressures on the website so customer can determine the pressures (option box so if they want lowered pressures for P7100 or raised for quadzilla custom tuning) it would be an option for the customer. The stalling thing is also of interest. I know people even with rv275 and tight converter that stall constantly in reverse. For most people it is a moot point as they won'y do anything with it. Curiosity has a hold on me and I want to support it.
  3. Nick your theory makes sense. Would like to see more testing out there. I imagine that if you know the flow of the nozzle and the reduction in pulse width one could tune and figure out the correction factor in tuning from running 7x.010 to 7x.013. With limitations of the VP44 and other variables it would be hard to isolate it exactly. I do not believe it would be linear (which would make it easy). Wish I had a dyno here.
  4. For those contacting me you can decide the size (up to 7x.015 VCO, 6x.013 sac or 7x.014 sac).... If there is anyone that wants to try 400BAR or higher? Will include one free pop off pressure change. Price to be discussed via PM, but its cheap... ( want to support the efforts and see the outer limits of VP tuning) for thought Back in 2013 I had some 400+ BAR (I think it was 420BAR) 12v injectors that were really large we set up for a 12v guy who was running close to 30* of timing for his sled puller. It was at the recommendation of a cam builder in WA (Boeing engineer... can't recall his name) Followed up with customer and he said it ran great. I know that is a different animal and a specific application, but 12v and 24v are both mechanically controlled injectors.
  5. Nick and Kole are both running 7x.012 VCO and 7x.013 VCO respectively. This is more of a discovery phase and big or small injectors can still give us data as they are currently unrepresented. I am willing to work with either large or small. Nick and Kole, do you have a preference for pop off pressure... seems 350Bar is where people want to start with the current data set given.
  6. @Dodgeih @Carbur8tr and others looking to run injectors set with higher pop off pressures. Willing to do a BIG discount for 8 more people. I am interested in seeing more data and am willing to heavily discount some DAP injectors. There can be a benefit to knowing flows in LPM with calibration fluid at 100BAR for the nozzle for a better comparison and reduce variables from "brand to brand". We also have digital gauges for measuring the pop off pressures. I would like to see 10 sets installed at the higher pop off pressures with known flows at the nozzle. @Me78569 and @kzimmer both are running DAP nozzles or injectors. Please send a PM or email if you are interested.
  7. Glad they are in. Waiting to see your results.
  8. Kole, Excited to see your results!
  9. Hi, Michael alerted me to this thread and we had a long conversation regarding the thread and other things. That thread has some good tech info in it and some good questions. There is a lot of accusations and hot air as well. Happy to answer questions and hope this forum will be more about tech and solutions than starting fires. DAP does not sell used injectors as new. DAP wants to clearly describe the injectors we sell and want to do so without upsetting Bosch regarding trademarks or logos. I have emails pending for how we can describe better so we can be withing the guidelines Bosch has requested of DAP and other sellers. The injector in question received by 03Dodge2500 came out of a Cummins box with a Cummins part # on it -- that would seem to mean that it made its way into production. A fuel connector tube was also in that box an may have accounted for the minor scratches on it as pictured. Customer was advised the body was the older phosphate style coating and given the option to wait for an incoming shipment and he opted to send the ones we had. We verified flow on the test bench and everything was in spec. Had I known the injector was as old as it was I would have either not sold it or had a more detailed discussion and a price reduction. Customer 03Dodge2500 is going to get a set of 0445120255 next week as an exchange. The injectors were installed and are running in the truck without issues. He and I have had discussions several times. He is nice and has not advocated for the drama brought forth by others in the thread. There should be resolution for 03Dodge2500 next week. I am looking forward to it. We have been selling new and reman injectors from Bosch for many years. We do not have a contract to buy directly from Bosch as a Drive in center or as a distributor. It does not make sense for our business to be under a Bosch authorized contract as the contract forbids sale and advertisement of common rail injectors on the internet. There are many channels that new Bosch injectors can be purchased. Bosch dealers, distributors and regional distributors are often happy to have the extra business and sell in (and often outside) of their proscribed territories to move product and get profits. The letters from Bosch rep posted in the thread show that DAP is in compliance with the request to remove logos and trademarks. Here is the background: I received a letter/phone call in February 2017 and discussed with Bosch rep by phone and email the changes that were happening with Bosch and Bosch Motorsports. It was a cease and desist request to use the term BMS, BOSCH Motorsports. It was the first request we had received to make name changes. Bosch Motorsport was aware of DAP using the term BMS several years prior and asked only that we include in the description "for offroad use only" on performance injectors. DAP happily complied. I was told during the conversation Feb-March 2017, that Bosch Motorsports is no longer selling injectors to anyone and all sellers were to refrain from using the term BMS or Bosch Motorsports, but that DAP can state that injectors are built on new Bosch bodies. To my knowledge no one is allowed to use BOSCH in caps or the BOSCH logo regarding the sale of injectors (exergy and S&S are possibly the exception). I imagine this is a sore spot with the larger Bosch Aftermarket division as they are still prohibited from selling on the internet. The 254 and 256 injectors were the injectors sold as Bosch Motorsports. We have a good supply of them. The same injectors are available through multiple channels. They have needle lift so that the flows of the injectors are greater at full load flow as compared to a 255 or 238. Following Bosch Motorsports request, DAP created a new name, "Dagger", as others also made new names, to market the injectors in a way that is not using BMS (as no one is using the BMS name any more.... I assume its to limit confusion from EPA and the meeting where Bosch Aftermarket re-affirmed its control over distribution). BMS no longer sells full injectors, but does offer components. This was sad for me as I had conversations with BMS regarding buy in and purchase of injectors at a very significant discount that hopefully could have been passed on to customers. 254 and 256 are the base injectors for our Dagger High Flow series. There was some confusion on the 007 injectors being able to run in a dodge. It is very similar to the early 03-04 injectors which can last +200k miles. We use these in the Dagger series. They do run, have the same 143* spray, same body, solenoid and a ton of other parts. Full fuel calibration is different by about 2% greater flow at 1600BAR 1700us and I confirmed from two Bosch authorized sources that they would work and sent them in for testing. Got the green light. Tested them in house as well. Sold first sets about 6 years ago. DAP has recently acquired a good source for them with good supply and price which we can pass along to customers. They work pretty well and they are a decent value for genuine new injectors. Shortly we will have more detailed descriptions, flow rates etc for the commonrail injectors. Its been on my list for some time to get rid of "HP" and put actual flow in LPM with calibration fluid at 100BAR of nozzles and mm3 flow of the complete assembled injector. Its a lot to compile. We did this some time ago with our 12v and 24v injectors with printed flow rates and % over stock application. BBI has done a good job on being transparent and posting flows and not using air as method to determine flow of nozzles. It is our desire to provide customers with a quality product and several options based on customers budget and power needs. If you have more questions you are welcome to email or PM me.

  12. I do not believe they are still in production. I remember hearing about problems with the tips.
  13. Go with genuine bosch bodies. Its not worth the savings in my opinion.
  14. Dynatrac has $200 rebate on these until end of Sept. Sold one last week. Its still expensive.

  16. 4 hole injectors are typically marine 155* spray. They are not generally as desireable. 5,6,and 7 hole will generally do better. Micro blind sac are excellent. There is a reason that the newest injectors for 6.7L cummins and Duramax which have extreme emission controls use SAC nozzles.
  17. The BOSCH MOTORSPORT (BMS) Injectors are Great!!! All new components. They will last longer as they are far within spec. We can even match flow the injectors we sell for a small additional cost to bring flow rates even closer. We also offer the BMS with the spray pattern for the 04.5-07 for an extra fee. For BRAND NEW injectors under $2100 its the best bang for the buck!
  18. I have 2 of these bracket kits new in box. Bought them years ago with intent to manufacture them since they were to be discontinued. I have not done it. $60 each shipped to USA. Thats below my cost. I do not have a use for them.
  19. we sell a lot more 10 micron filters in the winter. probably not enough to help free the flow with your cold weather. Are you using anti-gel?
  20. if it is the CTS it is a good deal, if you do not have a programmer or gauges this will get you set up well on the cheap.
  21. Hoping to have the K27 turbos back in stock in late October60mm billet compressor and cheaper than a super B. Can be used with stock exhaust and exhaust brakes.
  22. at one time Valair and SBC were sourcing them from the same place.... not sure if they are currently.
