  1. If I got right bolt you want. See hole it came out of cloest to radiator and see mm on caliper?
  2. Anybody know of places to get "hard" to get parts? LMC (in 2012 book, but discontinued now, washer nozzle Geno's Auto part store Junk yard Backyard relics JC Whittney (sometimes stuff others dont have) NAPA (local napa, have part number on hand because if low priced item, they care less) OK...Question ..is there any places that specialize in dodge parts I didnt list.
  3. state I'm in, the state patrol calls animal control to pick up dead wildlife involved in accidents. Then Wildlife people dump carcass in back of state salmon hatchery. Then our campground only about 300 yards away gets to many bear, cougars etc. Campground board of directors talked to the state. Mistake, those bears (state owned) wildlife have more rights than you do. No more bird feeders, no more outside trashcans, if bear breaks into shed or rv... your fault for having something inside they want. Part of the reason we sold out. Not to mention summer steelhead run. By 4:00 in morning you couldn't find a spot because to many people.
  4. One of the few things I like at harbor freight is their "free" flash lights. Went on family camping trip and 4 teenage nephews couldn't destroy them, and only 1 lost until ice chest was emptied back at house and it still worked?. So loaded up again on them (I like free) altogether have 3 in door side pocket along with it temp gun and windshield ice scraper.
  5. Thanks, that's what I'll do, order the thing. In pic looks like to me just little piece to keep plastic cowl piece from abrazzing on metal in center. Didn't know was full length. Thanks for pointing that out. @Mopar1973Man Instead of pulling windshield fluid reservoir, I'm going to rinse it out 3 or 4 times, sucking out any junk with wet dry vac. (Didnt realize a pain to pull) thanks for info. Info like that makes this site worth it to me. Great bunch of people.
  6. @JAG1 "I think Micheal uses that weather strip to beat the crap out of me last time I visited him" About how long of piece did he use? I've got some old stuff I could use, couple inches? And have some plastic split wire loom stuff. Object is to protect wires, right?
  7. @JAG1. ... When you get yours apart, would you mind looking at something? In OEM manual says nothing about "hood to cowl seal-center" Which is number 1 in LMC pic. Do you have one? What does it look like? And what does it do or purpose? Thanks
  8. Basic 101 question... when instructions in OEM manual, thats is for gas and our diesel says to "disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable" can I just disconnect drivers side battery or do both? I realize playing it safe by doing both sides, but about all elec stuff in manual gives same warning. Wondering if necessary. @Dripley is that a bungie cord I see?
  9. I'm sure I'll pick up at least 1mpg now that all junk have been removed??. That's a joke. Hope I never have to remove it again.
  10. Mine were not easy to remove. First time removed since I got it in 2005. Very stiff to pull tab up toward top of windshield. You can see other end of tab at bottom of arm and see unpainted spot on tab after pulling. My fingers to big, so I used plyiers. Right arm that the pivot point is in center of windshield will provide couple yoga exercises for you. Those little black plastic covers that have a torque head in them unscrew but not truly a threaded nut. The warning in the manual about screwing it up (posted above) ...I'll find out today if i did. And going to remove fluid tank and wash out good as something made it's way into nozzle and plugged it up. Pic in manual not very good imo. Here is pic that shows better imo.
  11. By chance any link to write up on differences. I just know $$$ difference not tech differences. Would be nice to know.
  12. Are 275 TV injectors still ok for slight up grade or did something better come around? Towing ability? Found real old write up but can't link to work. i went a step above the 275's and got 60HP injectors, they give you a real 275HP, over the 40 or so you see with the RV 275's. as for install and removal of injectors see my write up guide herehttp://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/25-fuel-system/255-24v-injector-install-video it includes videos and everything.
  13. Hate to post this being not in 2nd gen forum but... When wife and I were full timing in our RV couldn't tell you the amount of times at a campground someone would stop by and tell us how sorry they were they traded in their 1st or 2nd gen and now not happy. Not so much with people with low miles but people over 150,000 or so. Then usually they go on talking about how good it rides or how much more comfortable etc. Some are mega dollar new trucks.
  14. One magazines opinion. Not sure if biggest advertiser got his name in article or if product is actually better? Anyway worth the read IMO. https://www.drivingline.com/articles/budget-diesel-mods-985-02-cummins
  15. (This is a project only at this time and 2nd on list) Last week neighbor asked me to give her kids car a battery jump at local grocery store. Had to use wifes CRV as my dash still out of my 01. When I arrived I couldn't get near enough to jump battery. As I'm sitting there waiting for somebody to move their car. I'm thinking I need longer and better jumper cables. Project is... I'm thinking 2/0 welding cable has would cover the project of about 25 feet. From right side battery and underneath to back bumper. Once at back bumper going to use "Anderson SB 50 amp" connector. ( Like elec forklifts use). Then about 10 foot jumper cables. And also going to use jumpers as charger for extra set of RV batteries in bed of pick up. And very seldom but a 2500 pd winch sometimes. Of course not at the same time. I'm I missing anything? I'm thinking amps will be up there somewhere being elec is going from a good battery to a dead one. Nothing chipped in stone yet, in first steps of planning. How much elec going thru wires, should I plan on, so I get right size wire? Thanks
  16. Just noticed all that stuff in pic. That is reflection off windshield of my yard. Not moss or needles. Well some moss in yard and It does look like a mess in pic? Reason for asking about faster wipers is for light drizzle and then constant spray on freeway when most people doing 45, because hard to see. Also the right squirter nozzle only dripples. Manual said shoot in some air at nozzle. Well see if I cleared whatever out. I think those windshield nozzles are hard to find? At least not in my LMC book of spring 2012. ( I should call and get newer book). Didn't find them looking at Dormans either.
  17. My hood light, lights up sometimes so I'm thinking contact dirty, But out of curiosity is it a mercury switch... because it lights up (most of the time) when hood gets to certain level.
  18. Ok thanks... wiper motor not running slower than 15 years ago... But have cowl off right now, so that if upgrade available I'd upgrade. In pic, does those pivot joints for wipers any grease? If so what type so do they dont gather dirt/rust. ☠ My bad...after reading manual, says linkage connected with "plastic sleeve-type bushing". Probably designed to wear out eventually. Ok thanks... wiper motor not running slower than 15 years ago... But have cowl off right now, so that if upgrade available I'd upgrade.
  19. Is there any upgrade to get wipers to go faster?

Have years behind the wheel... when stuff is evolving in front of you it's very hard to do what doesn't come by instinct, like braking Trailer spike very good on ice and easy to grasp and becomes friend in very short time. Running off the road on purpose or making sure you get a little metal of the car coming at you in your lane, very hard to do. Joining the I-90 jack knife club is easy to do. Never became a member after 33 years. But did do a 360 on ice at about 15 mph with doubles and ended up going in right direction?. Have no idea why I was lucky or whatever. @dripley Chain link fence will give you a chance to exercise every hour for couple hundred miles, tighting down load. Before I gave up my lic Dot medical, employer medical. Haz mat, airbrake, double triple, twix card, finger print fed and employer. Then after retiring changed to intra-state lic. They still wanted $84.00. Gave it all back. Only side board I use now is on my 01? Only thing I miss is not getting paid to be in a traffic jam.
  21. Ok thanks...didn't know if that was an issue or not. So pressure washing you just go right at it, no problems?
  22. Welcome My kid used to work at a 5 star place. Years ago when my lift pump went out he wanted to know if I needed help. Of course I said yes. He never heard of fass or airdog. After we installed mine he talked to dealership owner about fass and the guy didn't want to hear anything about them. So dont be to surprized if something is mentioned on here and Dodge doesn't like it. Welcome again.
  23. Anybody see or hear about elec damage from water, (washing or rain, etc) getting in from the cowling? There is a piece of rubber on each side by hood springs, mine have came loose. Going to glue them back on but wonder if beefing up some might be worth the time. Just wondering if might be problem.
  24. Does trans fluid circulate... Park and Neutral Or just in Park Or just in Neutral Thanks
  25. you said you're 18 somewhere I believe. That was about the age of my kid started as a lot boy at a dodge place. Wash cars, drag battery charger around, trash detail etc. Pretty soon some body quit, then he snagged down parts. Then the experianced mechanics told him what parts to change, long story 4 years later get smog lic and some ace certs, then their main trans guy quit. Then he had 3 bays that were his,, along with part pullers/changers, like he was. You can see the trend? (Probably shouldn't say but he was upward projection. Then he bought a shop of his own. Now he understands why shop rates are like they are) PS... if your feet are still under your parents table at dinner time, how much do you think you should charge them? Best of luck.
