We have some winds for now, 15 to 20 mph no rain till early tomorrow. I am goi g to head home. Cant leave them alone. MIL is on oxygen, if we loose power I have to get her somewhere. My new pump arrived and is on and i have fuel pressure again. I a appreciate the advice, I know it is well meant.

Just lay under the truck and have someone saw the wheel back and forth and look at all the joints. Look for ones that have slop in them. When may track bar went the front end of the truck moved back and forth before the wheels turned. Noticed while sitting in the drive way.

Take it off and clean it and the mating surfaces. You might have just got a little dirt trapped in there from taking it off.

Are your steering parts in good shape? Prior to changing my track bar I could sit in the truck and turn the wheel and watch my hood move back and forth, the track bar was shot.

The other adjustment is un the TSB posted above. I have personally never made that adjustment. 1/4 turns never did much on mine.

If it bottomed out the wheel should not return on its own. I have probably turned mine a couple turns over the years. Might give her another twist this week end.

Or tornados or forest fires. Never know when or where mother nature might reach out and bite you. Left out earthquakes

Forever!!! All kidding aside they do seem to have a good track record. I have never seen the problems AD went thru. All I can say do some research. That is interesting. One of my sticking points on the fuel boss is $650 and another $240 more for the extra filtration that comes with AD and FASS. Though sitting here with a blown sucks.

Good. We can meet up in the bar and discuss it when i get back from the moon. At 453k I am technically back at 451,246 but I can use the average round trip 476k and we can meet then or we can go 505k mark. I have been looking at them over time. Cant spare $650 right now. Especially since AD warranted the pump. I have been wanting to replumb mine and going mechanical would make that a little less painfull. We will see, but not today.

I am sitting with a blown lift pump so feel your pain. Got a new one coming tomorrow..

A foot or so. Think I bought 2 feet and cut it to where i liked it. Its just clear tubing from Lowe's or whatever is near by. Nothing special. I forget the size but it is just slipped over the drain.

There was no tee on mine just the pipe sticking out. I thought they came with a 90 but since I knocked mine off I dont know for sure. They will drain fine like that sitting still, driving will let the wind blow it back into the cab and you get wet carpet. At least thats what mine did untill I put the hose on it.

Not the best picture but if look just below the ac drier you can see the hose I put on mine. It and the drier is in the strip of sunlight and the hose runs straight back to drain outlet on the fire wall. You might see it better from underneath.

Was the 90* fitting still on the HVAC drain thru the fire wall? I knocked mine off when rebuilt the box and flooded the floor. The wind just blows back in around the seal to the fire wall. I put a short piece of clear tubing on mine and no more problem.

Well in the FWIW colum, I just spoke with AD and they are sending me a new pump under warranty. Thats 2. No argument. Just went thru the list of what I have done and agreed to send me another. Can't beat that. Now @Mopar1973Man we will see whos lasts the longest. Still might entertain a mech pump and use this for a back up. But thats down the line.

Would not hurt. Just set it up outside the door and leave it it open.

On top of the steering box there is an adjustment screw held in place with a jam nut. Loosen the and turn the adjusting screw clockwise. You could probably turn yours one full turn and then tighten the jam nut back down. There should not be any resistance when you tighten it. Then drive it and see if it improved. Just be aware if you tighten to much the steering wheel will not return on its own. If you experience that then you need to back it off some. You want hurt it. I believe that is the sector shaft adjustment. Mine is due for another tightening or maybe a new box. If you look down from above you can see it quite well just off center of the steering box.

I was apeaking of the "tappet" cover or push rod galley on the side of the engine. It runs from behind the VP to the rear of the block.

I think we are out of the danger zone. She has lost a little of here punch wind wise. But she still got all her moisture. The storm surge and all the water coming from inland is going to swamp the coast. We will get plenty wet but I hope thats the worst we see. When Hugo blew in back in 89 we got 60 to 70 mph winds 250 miles from shore. You could lean over and the wind would hold you up. That was a bit unexpected.

How is your tappet cover gasket? That thing can leak and spread oil every where. The front seal and timing cover is not a terrible job to do, much better than the rear seal unless you pulling trannys.
