  1. Told yall it would make faster. 120 in the driveway aint bad. I could not put the new in with out cleaning the rest of it. Blows my mind how much dirt can get in the speedo. It went to 0 when started the truck.
  2. I spoke with about rebuilding my RV's a few months back and as I remember it was about $120 if they do not have to use any new nozzles. But I would call them like Mike says.
  3. It fit good. Snapped right in. The only thing is if you look where it meets the dash pad just above the HVAC control the reveal is slightly larger. Dont know whether it is the pad or bezel, one is slightly off. Me, I dont care, I love it.
  4. Disconnect every thing back to stock. No need to remove it just plug everything.
  5. Do what you can afford and don't get to far in front of where you want and can go. Patience is the word but not near the fun.
  6. Had around 240k on the oe injectors when I put the my RV's in. Put about 150k on them before the 50's. Still tempted to have them rebuilt and put them back in.
  7. I have never understood why the washer resevor is so hard to pull when the radiator reservoir is so easy pull. It's like you need 3 hands for the washer and 2 hands for radiator, and one of the hands is so you don't have to put beer down.
  8. I don't know what all it protects, but the LMC replacement is only $20. It does run the length of the hood. Probably a good investment. Shipping adds more for sure. When I ordered my new dash bezel shipping was $27 and change. When I added new weather striping for the drivers door, the shiping remained the same for both. Never hurts to add things to the cart and see where the tipping point on shipping is. You can always remove them. That is if shipping is the sticking point. .
  9. I always take both loose. A ground is still a ground. A zip tie, no bungie. The column trim has gotten beat up over the yeas and needed a trip to the hardware store for #9 screws.
  10. I always knew you had some redneck in ya. Just did not know how much. Steel rod thru the muffler=poor mans magna flow.
  11. Sure looks better on the truck than on the box. Had to use the zip tie until I got to the store for better screws for the column trim.
  12. Start simple. Disconnect the Edge and eliminate it and tnen work forward. Costs nothing but time.
  13. Absolutely!!!! Did not even have to clean the bezel.
  14. But they are applcable to today, just better ways to get there. It does some advertising made its way into the article.
  15. I see the advatages, just wish I would have stayed broke a little longer. Any way I am working towards one. I saved my last house payment that. Took it to the bank rolls. Fun day.
  16. Yeah, I held off on the Comp till I could afford one. I buy it and less than a year later out comes the Quad. And then all you yahoo's jumped ship. What's a man to do?
  17. Two new pdeal pads and a new dash bezel got me 30 more hp!!!!!.
  18. BUT then I just have to add another item to the list. I think the only way to shorten the list is get the wife a new car. That would cut it.
  19. For the person who a little more power economically you can't beat them. Pair it with an edge ez or something comparable and it's a god mix. The rv's and a simple tuner is relatively cheap plus you should a little mileage bump. When Banks 75hp tuner died I drove and towed my 15k 5th wheel on the rv's alone. It all depends on how power you will be happy with. I put 50's in mine a little bit but they are smokey. Good bit more than the RV's with the comp. I like the power but now I think I need a Quad. It never ends.
  20. Never removed mine. Maybe one day I will have to. Hope they are not stuck like the unit bearings. The rain ex is good stuff. I have used for decades. It seems to work better for me at night. Sometimes I can't even see drops hitting the windshield before they blow off. M 80's.
  21. I at first did like bearly on or completely off feature. Kind of just got used to it. Then we got the wife a new Dakota and it had low and off on the fan and it bothered me again. @Dieselfuture if you keep going you are going to make diagram of the switches just in case you have to loan your truck if there is an emergency. I can see it now, DF I need your truck!!! And DF responds OK, when can we do a preflite?
  22. I still have mine. Not trying to one up you at all. They are there and don't make a sound. And for now the plate is full and the weather is miserable hot and humid.

I have never driven a tanker, baffled or not. All the loads I ever hauled were dry and the biggest I ever hauled was pipe, cast iron and steel. Those required stopping and re tightening of straps and chains. The pipe will try and consolidate no matter how well you load it. I have agree with you on the experience thing. Not every situation you find yourself in is in a book, nor do I completely trust the book. Back in the early 70's when I was driving some good loads, the only thing you had to have was Chauffeurs license. To get that license I had to make 100% on the eye test. The license was only good for 2 years instead of the normal 4. With that I was qualified in the eyes of the State to drive anything. I am glad it is not quite so easy these days. The roads are much more crowded today than back then. Even today with schools and CDL's the norm, experience is only gained by doing the job. My hats off to the truckers and try to respect them and give them the room they need.
