  1. They do puts trucks and vans on them to wrap them. I will see if my son has the weight rating on them.
  2. At my son's work with the Saturn. I like his ramps. No more shin knocking on the bumper And the center sections come out for easy access. They are nade out of high density foam. There appears to be some sort of plates attached to the foam on the tops and sides. Then appears to have some sort Rhino liner sprayed all over it. My back is happy.

  4. Seems to me all the free beer signs out my way say Free Beer Tomorrow. Stopped by son's place of work yesterday and I am taking it over there. Concrete floor, AC, and something to help with the height problem. Not a lift but I will post some pictures later.
  5. 235k. Trust me, just to experiment, not a chance. Just a thought I had. I got bigger fish to fry than working on something that appears to be working fine.
  6. I would want both of them after the last filter.
  7. Well the teacher says Mike gets to go first in the cafeteria line today. All kidding aside thanks for the info on the fuel temp. What is to hot a fuel temp to send to the VP? I have wondered about especially since all my return fuel goes to the basket. I have thought about going back in and putting one of the returns outside the basket. I figure the truck likes it in the winter time though. How does the fuel temp compare to the IAT in the winter?
  8. By all means lets share. The teacher says it is time to share.
  9. Living a little dangerous there are you? I see mine any time I make long trips. that is usually where I start looking to fill mine. Now that I am out of Maryland I am getting by on maybe 400 a week instead of 1k. I am slowing down come a catch me. Do you reckon there is much temp loss on the way to the tank? Has to be some but I guess it would be minimal.
  10. I did borrow this from Mike long ago. I need to re do it and add the brake line hose I have and turn the line different. You would be surprised how much in the way it can be at times.
  11. @Mopar1973Man's set up is for Isspro EV II electric and not mechanical. That is the stuff you see on the inner fender. The EV II gauges have the warning light and program them for the pressure you want to alerted at. The EV I mechanical does not have that feature but is a good bit cheaper. @Cowboy Doc When I reread your post about the the placement of the tap for the pressure gauge it first said you were putting in the big line and then a couple sentences later it said your were putting the Isspro 0-30 gauge just before the filter canister. Are you installing more than one? Set mine up like this and it has run fine for 6 years. I have the valve barely cracked open.
  12. Yuck, yuck!!! I remeber. The other thing that bugs me is I need 3 foot jack stands for this little thing. The bumber hits me shin bones. Tough working all bent over, makes my back hurt. That reminds me i need to make a trip to the beer store.
  13. I am sure of that one. Just need that time commodity. The AC compressor in the wife's Saturn decided to grind itself up. Got all the parts in so thats this weekends project. I bought the same parts I did for the trucks R&R but paid almost 2.5 times as much for them. Then doing the work is going to be tougher due to the locations of some of the parts. The only bad part on the truck was the compressor since I had to lay on the ground to swap it and that was not that bad at all. The compressor for the Saturn is right on top and easy to get to, but everything else is hidden by something. The expansion valve is behind the motor. The condensor is behind the radiator which is behind the electric fans which is behind the air intake system. The accumulator I can see and get my finger tips on it so I am not sure whats got to come off to get to it. It is going to be a fun weekend.
  14. Time is a precious comodity when you are on the road as much as me. I know you can understand that. On a good weekend while in Maryland about 46 hours of time there and some weekends not home at all. Then when you put Ripley+wiring+electrical trouble shooting in the same sentence, that just spells trouble. Now after doing @W-T's ground mod and seeing how simple that was, it gives me greater confidence. Just need to check the harness out better.
  15. Just playing around with mine i noticed the compressor is on in all positions except the dash only position. Would that not give what you are? Or is my truck just weird for some reason?
  16. The splices i am speaking of are not factory. I got some missguided advice many years ago when my ECM died and cut some wires for testing. There is however a ground splice in the harness for the sensors. Whether that has anything to do with it, i dont know. The surging stopped a few months ago after messing with the map sensor and hareness in that area. I guess iam back to square one for now.
  17. You cant ask to many quetions. Thats how we all learn around here. I am not smart ebough for what you need but you are in good hands.
  18. If thats at idle you are probably at 0 at WOT. Post up a thread over in the 2nd gen forum and and you will get much more exposure for your issue. To answer, your pressure is way to low.
  19. Welcome. There is a bit Cummins food here.
  20. I am definitely not the expert on this but thought it was good question since we seem to be operating under different assumptions. I know to much oil will affect the performance of the system. I just dont remember the symptoms of to much oil. Some one will straighten us out though.
  21. I dont know about the click but it is very common to hear your fan on a cold start up. The liguid in the clutch settles and the fan has to spin to re distribute said liquid for it to disenengage. Mine does it even in the winter on occasion.
  22. Yes and no. I resealed my hydro boost a couple weeks back and when i took for a test drive my sensor had dropped out completely again. I went back to the house and checked my booster for leaks and all was good there. I reached in and gave the wiring a good squeeze and drove back up the road and no help. So I go back and started checking for codes, had a couple no big deal. I have 3 splices in my harness near rhe ECM, thats a whole other story there. I just did a visual and tugged on the wires to see if they were not coming apart but all seemed well with them. I get back in the cab and fire it off. The next thing i know the temp gauge pegs and cel is lit. Check for codes again and I got 8 or 9. Low and high voltage codes on sensors and what not. This along with the temp gauge pegged I am having dejavu one an ECM fried. Thats exactly what happened when I lost mine 8 or 9 years ago. So I get back under the hood and removed my fuel filter canister so I can have better access to the ECM and harness and really dig into those splices. It was diring this process that I found i have a 4th splice that I had forgotten about. I redid the other 3 several years ago but missed this one and when I went to tug on it, it just came apart easily. Turns out this wire is the main 5v supply to most of the sensors. Long story short I got out the solder and soldered the connection, cleared the codes and went for a quick drive and all is well. The weird thing to me is the MAP sensor gets its 5v from different pin on the ECM so I am not sure why i was having the MAP issues. Someone smarter than me will have to help with that. I have had no MAP issues for the past 3 weeks but my engine surging is back, though very intermittant. It started about a week and half ago. It would seem that have more to do. @Mopar1973Man I seem to remember someone being suspect of those splices a good while back. That 4th was tucked back into the other wires enough that lost track of it. So I had a little Crow for dinner that night.
  23. Can too much oil do this? The reason i ask is when i replaced my compressor i did not replace the accumulator or the condensor and i was under the impression that the sytem itself would account for 4 or so ounces of oil. So I drained the new one and only put 4 ounces back in it. My compressor had not failed but clutch was FUBAR. I noticed that the OP had put 8 ounces in his compressor at install.
  24. Big line kit from Vulcan. It has everyghing you need. I am not sump person either. I modified my fuel basket for the AD and it will suck the tank dry.
