  1. Are the control arms stock or after market?
  2. Cant imagine finding 2 of those sitting in the same place, even in 2007. They did not make many of them. Just enough to satisfy NASCSR so they could race them.
  3. I had to go back and re read. Dont know how I did not pick up on the fluid level rising. But I did'nt.
  4. Nothing surprises me anymore. Some folks are are just that gulable. Just think, if it was that easy all you would need is a "Deer stand here" sign and all those hours sitting in a tree stand would be a thing of the past.
  5. I just resealed my hydro boost and was having very similar issues. Pedal feedback, a weird noise every so often. I did get a grown out of the PS pump once but that was because the fluid level got very low. Everything worked fine. Mine was leaking from the hydro boost and not the PS pump though. I speculate that either of them leaking might cause the same symptoms if it let air into the system???
  6. https://www.google.com/search?q=deer+crossing+radio+rant&oq=deer+crossing+rant&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l2.17742j0j8&client=tablet-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mo Speaking of deer crossings, this comes to mind for any who have not heard it.
  7. That is good to hear and thats a quite good temp drop. Good luck on the fan clutch.
  8. I was thinking the same thing on the gears. I am on 265's and the only speed and rpm I remember is 70 at 2000 rpm. If you drop to the 245's you will just be making more rpm. I have also always towed in 6th if I can maintain speed on a grade at 50% or so of throttle. Anytime I get near 60 and slowing I would down shift. But as far as empty I have been known to cruise at 45 in 6th.
  9. I used a fernco on mine. Dont remember which one I used, plus I would have to find it. Have not used it in quite some time.
  10. How hot was your engine when set the gaps? Just curious is all. If setting them on your engine hot worked, go for it.
  11. I backed mine into a cat the second year I had it. A D8 Cat that is.
  12. I just for some parts for the wife's Saturn. Got them today and the belt tensioner while the right part number is not the same one pictured and I ordered 4 packs of 15 each plastic rivets and got 4 pieces and not the 60 pieces I ordered. But I did mow the grass and ahead of that chore.
  13. I did a little looking and all the sensors I saw do not look like yours in the picture.
  14. I keep both the P A puller and a pickle fork, they both work nicely.
  15. Not the engine mechanic here, but would it make any difference what stroke it was on as long as it was at the top? As far as white to gray smoke, the oil smell seems a bit odd without a little blue smoke in with it. Again not the engine man here.
  16. FWIW when my ECM crashed mine cranked fine everytime, but you could not drive it. I would also recommend to start using TCW3 2 cycle oil instead of the Stanadyne. Your new VP will love you for it. And here's to the dead pedal never returning.
  17. I cant imagine the wait. When I bought mine my 96 V10 had just ate a valve. I towed to the nearest dealer in SC. All they had was 2 auto dually 01's. I had to pick mine off of a picture on the internet and wait 2 days to get it. That liked to kill me.
  18. The difference between diesel and petrol prices in Europe are not that much different here other than the total price. Our fuel is cheaper overall but yall are paying much more per unit. The federal tax here has not been raised in 10 or so years which is surprising to me.
  19. Did your friend tell what gaps to set on a warm engine? Just curious. The last time I set mine was on a cold engine at .008 and .0016. I never noticed much difference in how mine ran. Not picking right or wrong, just my experience.
  20. Mike has the Cummins seal kit in the store. I bought mine from Pirate Jack's before he had them here. Dorman scares me, though I have had success with some of their stuff.
  21. It seems every one of the apps I am having to deal with wants all of that access to my tablet. It belongs to the company and they just tell me to do it. But I have found that you can refusemall that crap and most of them still work. I personally don't like it but sometimes you have to pay to play. I also dont keep any personal info on this tablet. Not even sure I like the damn thing for that reason. It seems it is the wave of the future. Sure am glad I am retiring in a couple years. And I still think cash is a better alternative to using a card, unless you are buying parts on line.
  22. See if that link is better. Not hard to do and you don't need to pull the power steering pump as some instructions say. Just did mine about 3 months ago.
  23. A Fernco coupling in the plumbing department of what ever building supply is closet. I forget the size. Just measure the inlet on the turbo and get one that fits. The other needs to fit the PVC fitting you buy. You don't need a gauge in it unless you just want it. I just put about 20 psi or so and started soaping joints. You are after all looking for leaks. I can almost gaurantee you have a leak somewhere.
  24. Now if I can just find the time. I just lost next week off but will be much closer to home after that.
