Clutch and brake pedal bushings
I sprung a good leak in the hydro boost recently and going to do rebuild next week. Figured to redo the the brake and clutch pedal while I am at it since the clutch pedal is starting to squeak some. Anyone know where I can buy them?

Maybe you can get a big discount. Maybe the dimples will help the areo, kind of like driving a golf ball. That really sucks.

Bumpers any advice
Time for a slight derail. What kind of head lights do you have and do you like them? I have been looking at some very similar. The wife's 06 Dakota had some and they worked much better than the stock ones on my truck. On topic. I painted my bumper covers with a rattle can of bumper cover paint and worked really good. Surprisingly good. The paint has deer repellant in it..

I got all of this from Eric when hooking up my FP gauge. He can hook you up with what ever. It is a tapped coupling installed in the big line kit. You could put most anything into.it.

After reading @Mopar1973Man response I guess I am assuming that your pump is running while the engine is. I am also assuming that you should have decent with the new as long as it is running. I ran mine for years without a gauge. Not the best thing to do but I knew no better at the time. so there is some risk.

i fully understand having to have the truck on the road. I travel for work and have to be there. It does not leave me much time at home for much of anything and some weeks I dont get home. Some times sacrifices have to be made. I dont see why what you have will hurt anything. The big thing to me is keeping the ECM in control of the lift pump just for safety sake. I would however like to know what is going on that is stopping it from cranking while on a constant hot. Something odd there. I also know if this was happening to me and I have to be at work Monday morning, I would do what I had to to get there. If it makes you feel any better I have remote starter switch hanging on the tilt wheel adjuster since my ignition switch does not want to power the starter sometimes. Gets me by for now. I have the week after next off and hope to chase that and catch up on some other things. Get you a fuel pressure gauge in there and then you see whats going on for sure.

are you using it as the power source instead of the alternator? is the relay harness still plugged into the ecm pigtail? my curiosity is getting the best of me.

I ran 2 pumps on mine for 3 years or so. One in the tank and one on the frame rails. This was long before I knew anything about system. The bucking and dead pedal issues I had at the time stopped after I installed it.

Coolant Flush
I just ran water thru mine. Did mine last weekend. Ran enough water thru it to fill 5 or 6 times even some after the water appeared clear. Running a flush thru cant hurt if you want to.

Are both trucks lift pump still controlled by the ECM? I think thats the important thing. Hate to see someone get burnt up in wreck because the fuel pump did not shut off on its own. I ran mine off of the alternator for years. Maybe I ought to hook it back to the alt and see what the ac voltage is with connected there. Maybe thats part of the reason why I saw such a good drop. I changed the power to the PDC at the same time I did the ground mod. As far as a sump or draw straw goes, I think to each his own. I have neither. I modified my basket and the pick up is in there and only 3/8" and not 1/2". Probably why i see a 3 to 4 pound drop in pressure at WOT. I still stay between 15 and 19 psi so I am happy. The basket will drain my tank dry too. So one size does not necessarily fit all.

My instructions said the same but I kept my canister in the system like Mike, but still had to put a tapped tee into the fuel line for my pressure gauge. The 02's dont have outlets on the canister for a gauge. Dont remember what year you have. I had a Glow Shift on mine and it did not last, but I did not put anything on it to protect from the VP pulses/water hammer effect. The Isspro EV1 is an inexpensive gauge that is better. The EV2's are very nice but are a bit more costly.

The "relay" mod came with the air dog. It does not delay anything. It is what you plugged into the ECM pig tail. The relay mod just gets the power load off of the ECM and puts onto the alternator, since that is where you chose to connect the power. Do you have a way to check the fuel pressure while cranking?

Dont cut the plug. The relay portion of the system is to get the 12v power off of the ECM. With the relay the ECM just triggers the relay and the power is supplied from the alternator like you have it wired. I ran mine like that for years. Much easier on the ECM and still leaves the fuel pump under ECM control. As @trreed states the ECM should be cycling the pump on and off to lower the pressure for cranking. Checking you fuel pressure when happens again is the next step.

Sounds like my job in Maryland except the fires I have been putting out are not the same as the literal fires you are fighting. Very stress full none the less. I hope things get better soon. My last week in Maryland is next week. I will never go back, unless............

For my education, do yall have separate thermo couples for the quad and the gauge? Or do you share the same one?

@Mopar1973Man you found the all in one meal. The potato chicken with vegetable limbs.

6.7 water pump in 2nd gen 5.9
I have never seen any reason to need more cooling on mine. It has always kept up with whatever and where ever I drive or tow.

At least one of you knows how to park between the lines. Evil twin maybe?

If that's was Mike's there would be potatoes coming out of it.
