  1. Yes to the mods and codes. But on a personal note, what is a "slooperer"? That is a new one for me.

Welcome. This place helped me keep mine going strong.
  3. How much are asking for the 02?
  4. Brylcreem. Googled it to see if I could spell it, you can still buy it. Wish the factory would have invested it a little anti sieze.
  5. I have to change my HG pretty soon. Weeping water at the right front corner. Would buy some thing like that before knowing how much you might have to shave the head?
  6. Now you have to change your signature.
  7. I like that one. Most of my driving is on the interstate or main secondary roads. I have pulled some grades on that last 1/8 tank that made me wonder if that would happen. So far so good. I have run mine out on three occasions. 2 on flat land stretching a little to far and the other parked in my sons driveway for a couple days. About an 8% slope with minimal fuel, got to the top and ran dry. Coasted onto the road which was another hill. Sucked the whole system dry other that the little that was in tank. Had to go get 5 gallons just to start again. That is a triple dumb *** on me.
  8. Hood, denim, think that about covers it. And you?
  9. While I dont have to I can still look at my gauge and tell how far I can go with in 20 miles. With the gauge showing 50% i have a good 200 miles to a fill up with some buffer. 1/4 tank about 100 miles. I do have places I would rather buy my fuel and plan accordingly based on the gauge. I just dont need the exact gallons to get from a to b. If I think I am short I will buy some before I leave.
  10. When it comes to the fuel you just have get used to what it reads. I know when I hit a half tank on the gauge it is really 2/3 rds. No big deal. When the light comes on I have about 3.5 gallons left. It is just what it is. All my vehicles have been like that. I just learned to live with it. I never had the need to know that I burnt or had 4.25 gallons left or burnt. Not that anal I guess. When it comes to the fuel you just have get used to what it reads. 11. I guess what I was trying to say is the gauge says 1/2 but the fuel used is more like 2/3 of tank. I got pretty excited after having that in tank pump installed because I thought improved the fuel mileage. Wrong!!!! When she was new and the needle hit empty I could drive for near 100 miles. She is the exact opposite today.
  12. Mine is the same way, I get about 440 out of the first half wish I could repeat that on the second half. Funny thing is it was opposite of that when new. Once I got the in tank it went the other way.
  13. Slow and deliberate here. But the old does rear its head when it wants to.
  14. Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your stay. There wide array of knowledge here.
  15. Welcome. Did the smoking start all of sudden or some work done on the truck?
  16. You can get more out of the HX with a boost controller on it. They are good for up to 35 psi. The stock waste gate opens around 20 psi and that's what limits it.
  17. This just might turn out for the better.
  18. The stud is what I meant. I should have looked at the picture better. Theta is definitely not the stud.
  19. Well, I cant say I have ever heard of that before. That's not necessarily surprising though.
  20. My AD uses the ECM for a trigger and when you turn the key it cuts the power on and off rapidly and reduces the pressure by near 50%. You can hear the relay clicking on and off. Is it different for a Fass than an AD? I always believed the Carter was able to reduce pressure in the same manner. Now wired to a key on hot that is not possible. By that i mean it gets full pressure.
  21. another good idea. overpressure to the VP. I did think thru all of this the ECM had control of the lift pump. Did I miss something?
  22. That is a common problem on the 16" stock wheels.
  23. I have read your signature and pointed that out very early on in the thread. Is your ECM different from mine? For some reason I was thinking you had a Dodge instrument panel in the Suburban. Not sure how much if any of a Dodge you had to put in the Chevy.to make the Cummins work. Just throwing ideas out there.
