Best Way to Dry Carpet INSIDE the Truck?
This was a bit different in that we built a new next to an old and demo'd the old one.they were supposed to close the store for 2 months for the transistion, but operator decided he did not want to do that, he wanted no more than a week of down time. Pretty much turned into 2 jobs instead of one. Poured the footings and found out none the engineer's of CFA's paper work was submitted for my plumber to get a permit. For ten weeks I showed up on Monday, sat in the lot, watched the weeds grow and went home on Friday. Started back up and we made change after change after change. I finally told them that i needed a set of drawings for them all instead of emails and sketches. The architect sent me a set of just the changed pages. The roll of plans was 40 pages thick. It just never got any better. Prince George's county Maryland is a difficult place work at best on top of that. CFA paid for every day the job went over including the profit we should have made on that long a job. Hate to think what they spent on that store. Though that store grosses 7 to 8 million bucks a year. They could afford it.

Funny you should mention that since I am now the record holder for W H Bass with the longest CFA we ever built. 14.5 months.

ECM Auto or Manual does it matter?
I got cheap at home i know wont but Innova does and its not expensive by any means. The ground mod really works good. Mine went from 0.035 to 0.010.

ECM Auto or Manual does it matter?
I need some help with this. I have an Innova, $30, the meter only has one setting for AC. The paper work says it auto adjusts. Whenever I take the reading on the alternator it reprents the reading as 0.010 or whatever. A couple years back I had an electrician on the job with his Fluke meter and his only had the one setting and he told it auto adjusts. His read the same way. Am I missing something?

Low stall torque converter stalling engine
A lot of folks here running 7X10's with no stalling issues. A few with low stall converters are. I dont know the mechanics involved but I think the converter would be more the culprit. That said i will defer to the more knowlegable.

Best Way to Dry Carpet INSIDE the Truck?
Yes. It does not even have to be a hose. Anything that gets the water flow away or below the hole in the fire wall will work. I chose the hose just because it was the first thing that came mind back then. And I never sealed the hole either, but it cant hurt anything to do it. There is more than one way to skin this cat and if it works who can say your wrong. At least you know the problem.

You can seal it if you want to, cant hurt, but by all means put a hose or fitting or whatever you wish to get the water away from the hole. Mine did it twice until i fugured it out. I put the hose on it and it has not happened again in the years since I put it on. They came factory with a fitting to do that very thing.

The Future of Trucks
I cant imagine really. But if the acorn did not fall far from the tree my father might give some insight. When seat belts were mandated to be installed in cars my father was pissed. He felt the government was stepping to far into his personal space telling him what he was going to have in his car. Then they made him start wearing them. Two different issues really. One mistrust of the new technology and two mistrust of the people telling how he was going to use it. Both mistrust of the changes. And it is still alive and well today. I see it here a lot. I mean no disrespect to anyone on this, I am infected with it too. I just want to get to retirement before someone else sicks another electronic device in my hand and expects me to learn how to use it. I understand what you are saying, it is the technology and its coming. I do believe it will be beneficial and when they perfect it it will be cheap enough to go into the mainstream. Tesla is just to easy to use as an example. I cant readmthe news anywhere without them popping up somewhere. I just hope the big auto manufactures dont push Tesla the way of the Tucker.

Going to look at this tonight
I have a 50 amp service and can run both my heaters on high but usually one on high and the other on low. Which one depends on the time of night. I always left the furnace on set around 60 or so just for such low temps. But have seen condensation freeze on the windows. Not all but some. My first one had an open belly and I took it to Indianapolis where the temp went down to Zero. I had to underpin it and put a heater on the ground to keep the plumbing flowing. Thawing out brown ice sickles is absolutely no fun. My current one is enclosed with a belly pan and has heaters for the tanks and water lines. Never froze this one. Dont think me and the wife would fit in the refrigerator either.

No. We were lucky. Got rain at home starting early Sunday am into Monday am and a little wind. That was in Hickory NC. The job is in Columbia SC and got about the same. The coast got hammered more with storm surge and some places got 30"+ of rain. Now they get to deal with all the inland rain that is coming to them in the rivers. So their storm is not over with yet. Suns shining and the rivers are over flowing.

Recirculate will reduce it, yes. Eleminate it, no. As long as humidity gets in condensate will exist. How humid is it in Kansas? We are still at 90* and 80% out here in NC. Not to mention we will be soaking up a tropical storm for the next month. About sick of this heat.

AC on any setting will generate condensate. Your cab is not airtight. I can sit with mine running on max in the parking lot and still have a trail of water coming from it.

Well this sucks
Did you pull the oil cooler and look for leaks? If it blew on the inside you would not know it except for the oil in the radiator. Could be a failed head gasket too.

My 5th wheel has alot more air in it than truck camper. As small as that is your breath is constantly adding moisture to the air. Mine is 35' long and averages 7' high with triple slides. A lot more air in it.

The Future of Trucks
All new technology is overpriced and suspicious in the beginning. The price will come down. Cars were that way until Henry Ford figured it out. When my grand father purchased his first car, he took it and completely took it apart to see what made it run before he let family member ride in it. He just did not trust them. But they will make inroads as the tech develops. As far as stealing a Tesla, crooks have been doing it to similar entry systems before the Tesla came along.
