@Mopar1973Man The 02 wiring diagram is different than the one you posted. It only has the oil sensor and the map sharing a 5v signal wire and not the cam sensor My spare harness has a 5v to the map and no splices. One solid wire straight to the map. The connector for the oil pressure sensor is only 2 pronged and not 3. I will check it again when I get home and check the one on the truck. Could this be because the late models are only swithches and not sensors? All the switch does is tell the ECM we have oil pressure and the ECM takes over from what i have read here. If that is the case is one wire not sufficient to comunicate that to the ECM? The other really strange thing is what in the name of Hades is the chicken man doing debating electrical systems in the first place? There is something wrong with that picture.

VP44 Keyway Dropped into Gear Case
I was surprised to see that after 400k miles mine had no groove worn into the crank. You could see where the seal had been riding the crank but i could not feel anything with my finger nail. I did have the seal with the sleeve and installed anyway.

The most trouble I had was installing the seal in the cover. As far as risking the other fella I cant say, but if he installed one in an 03 I think he should know how to do it.

My spare harness has a 2 wire connector to the sensor but only 1 wire. No 5v signal and no shared ground wire. Only a wire to the ECM.

Dash cover
Mine are all snugged tight. I did buy the washers for the attachments at the windshield. Dont know if that is helping, but for an extra 25 bucks I did not care. As I remember my cracks did all originate from a connection point. But I have slept a few times since then and I could be wrong.

At $300 for the new one I did not want to take the chance of me being the cause of it failing. All of mine were re installed.

One wire I take it to the sensor?

VP44 Keyway Dropped into Gear Case
I would agree. watch out for the crank seal. Something that surprised me is installing them dry, no lube. That always seemed weird to me. My front seal, I installed dry does not leak. My rear seal installed by someone else leaks and I dont know that it was installed dry.

Maybe. I passed the skinny part a long time ago. As I remember I still had the hvac box out to. Not much space on drivers side anyway. I think a well trained 2 year old would fit.

Vac Actuator for the HVAC dashboard vents
I missed the Austria part. I wish you luck, I have no idea how to help. Maybe another actuator can adapted.

I struggled with the ones on the drivers side too. Had my son who was skinny like I was way back then helping with those. So a thin friend is big help.

New Tire Size found 235's to 245's
I can see that. Most of the interstates I run will get run over at 55-65. I remember a trip I made north to the next job and fair amount was on secondary roads. I was towing and kept it down around 60 or less for 2 or 300 miles. I got 12.5 mpg on that trip which was good considering I usually get 11 on the interstate running 65. But it was a slow trip. plus you just stepped down the size I have always had.

I am going to have unplug mine and see. My spare harness is the one with the wire to the sensor. I bought as an 02 harness years ago. I have bought but yet to install a new oil pressure sensor for mine and it only has 2 prongs in the connection. My spare would fit it. So I am going on a bit of an assumption for now. Happy to see your problem has been solved and you are welcome for the help. I get a plenty of it around here myself. @Mopar1973Man You ever checked yours for the number of wires going to the sensor?

New Tire Size found 235's to 245's
I have the 265 s on mine, always have. Just thinking the tire wear might balance with the fuels savings. But I get 19.5 mpg at 75 on pure interstae runs at about 2200 rpm. Thinking of the other parts you could see savings might just justify it for sure. I would like the 245 s for towing with the boost in rpm, be much for 6th gear. I guess any gear for that matter. But most all of my towing is interstate too. Just call me a pavement chicken.

VP44 Keyway Dropped into Gear Case
There appears to be some spots it could linger on for the right bounce to throw it into the gear train.

You could bar the engine over a few revs with a barring tool or with the alternator pulley to be sure it drooped. I dont know if there is anything else it can land on but gears. I am definitely not sure about that. I used the utra grey on mine and it worked fine.

I wonder what difference you will see in tire wear the smaller you go. Seems a little less rubber would wear quicker but i dont really know that. Just pondering the question.

Filling oil filter when changing oil?
I dont think I have the patience to fill thru the small holes, though you could do it. I completely understand.

Filling oil filter when changing oil?
I can see it now DF at the key board, the wife at his side. Every time he reaches for the keyboard, the wife smacks him with mallet. I would call that pretty well trained. Whats a little knob on the noggin.

How many holes did you bite in your tongue while you restrained yourself?

Filling oil filter when changing oil?
The crud i remember in the picture appeared to be particles of something in the near size of a small grain sand, maybe a couple dozen darkish brown in color. They appeared solid, not sure you could have shaken them and dissolved them back into the oil. But since it was a picture I have no idea of their consistancy.

The radio helps. It almost blasts me out the door the morning after a long trip.
